$227million Abacha loot recovered from Liechtenstein

There was a reason corruption charges was dropped against Mohammed Abacha, the eldest son of late former Nigerian Head of State, Gen, Sani Abacha. $227million stolen money has been recovered from the Abacha family. On June 25th Nigeria will receive $227million from the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Europe, as the nation is said to have agreed to release the stolen money.

AFP reports that the federal government said today Thursday June 19th that it dropped the charges against Mohammed in a deal to allow the return of the Liechtenstein money.

Mohammed Abacha is wanted in the US for his alleged part in laundering $458m in funds stolen by his late father and frozen by the U.S in February. Abacha, who died in 1998 and is believed to have stolen up to $5 billion.

    1. I agree with you for once o! Make dem free the man joor. If he stole $5billion dollars, that simply means that IBB, OBJ and the rest equally stole billion of dollars. If you use the yardstick of the noe stolen by ibori, u will also get a clearer picture of the amount stolen by people in government. Infact the highest thieves are civil servants(many of them are richer than nigeria), why I feel sorry for them is that they can't even spend the money stolen cos dey are meant to be mere civil sevants. All these DGs of parastals are d main culprit. Abacha's only fault or what made him different from all the other thieves is that fate dealt him and his family a blow.....death.

  8. This mans crime lives on over a decade after his death. He single handedly ran down a whole country. That his shameless loud mouth daughter will soon open her big mouth and say Nigerians shld not demonise her father, after all he just killed a "few" pple, kidnaped and stole a few "billions".

    May they be judged accordingly.

  24. Fulani and Hausa people are the most corrupt creatures in the world. They use pretentious piety to fool themselves and rob Nigeria. For all the years Fulani and Hausa people ruled, Nigeria have nothing to show for it.

Since Nigeria's independence, Fulani and Hausa leaders have stolen over TWO HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS from the Federal and State governments.

Fulani and Hausa leaders accuse others of corruption, but turn a blind eye if it's one of their own people doing the stealing. Stupid rogues. Damn you Fulani and Hausa leaders.
