15 dead as Boko Haram attacks market in Borno state

At least 15 people died today June 15th after suspected men of the Boko Haram sect launched an attack on traders at a local market in Daku village of Askira Uba LGA of Borno state around 11am.

Reports say the men numbering over 20 and armed with AK-47 rifles, Improvised Explosive Devices and petrol bombs stormed the market square on motorcycles and a Hilux Toyota vehicle, and opened fire at people in the market. Several shops, houses, vehicles and motorcycles were reportedly razed during the attack. After the attack, sources say the men then took foodstuffs and money from the traders.

    1. What I don't understand is how people will still live in a state were we get such news from and still go about their normal business. Whatever happened to relocation. Well it's their cup of tea.

  11. God punish the idiots still in those villages prone to BH attacks. I watched recently how residents of a town in Iran that had being subject to the attack of the dreaded ISIS, flee for their lives, their was gridlock as everybody was running away from the place. Everyday in Nigeria you hear of people dying and some people will just seat tight waiting for BH to come and expect sympathy. What rubbish?!!! Heaven help those who help themselves.

    1. See stupidity at it's peak! If you have nothing constructive to say, simply close your mouth. You think everyone can afford to run away? This is why Nigeria will never move forward! Why don't you direct your anger to the useless got we have instead of bashing innocent victims?! Nonsense!

  19. The incessant killings in Borno state has occurred one time too many! Where are the security personnel that were reportedly deployed there? 11am for that matter, no be broad daylight be that? The truth on how why and how Borno became a BH target will definitely surface one day!! There is something they,re not telling us. Enough already pls!!!

  29. The madness goes on. hmm...majority of the casualties are their own kind!!! is it a case of 'Ethnic Cleansing'...? Is it the theory that the planet is trying to bring a balance on earth by using natural disaster to do so? and we all know Nigeria's own Natural disaster, don't we?

  30. But why do People still live in that state. By now you'd expect that they've all migrated to a greener pasture somewhere not filled with so much inhumanity.
