Very often we hear that soldiers in battle with the dreaded Islamic sect Boko Haram were killed, but we hardly get to see the fallen officers. Well, here are two of them. The officer on the left is M
ajor Olalekan Akintola, aka Lokoso, he was one of the officers ambushed and killed by Boko Haram men last Wednesday night. The officer on the right is Lt Odushina Oluwafemi, he and his fellow soldiers were killed when their convoy was ambushed by Boko
Haram after their GOC, Major General Abubakar Mohammed, made them make
an unusual trip, his friends say.
Their deaths sparked a mutiny against the GOC. Y'all remember the story last week. The GOC has
since been redeployed because of the incident.
Lt Odushina
Oluwafemi attended Air Force Secondary School Ikeja, and has served as
part of the UN peace keeping forces in Darfur. He went to Pakistan for
additional training course and was only deployed to Maiduguri in March
2014 where he met his untimely death. May their souls rest in peace.

ReplyDeleteAm so speechless! BH have soaked the soil with too much, for their sake I wish I never have to see the words "mercy & forgiveness "in the dictionary!
ReplyDeleteHave you people not noticed that anytime we hear that Boko haram waylaid and killed officers in active service that the affected officers will be mostly people from the South! This is a conspiracy by the Northerners in the army to kill the southerners. If you doubt what I am saying just be following the JTF news now. Its always a northern commander leading the southern majority troop to be ambushed by boko haram. We know their tricks but God has the ultimate power.
ReplyDeleteDats true, we need a revolution against des Hausa People

ReplyDeleteOh Mighty are falling, courage almost gone, Lord have mercy on us.
ReplyDeleteYou people do not know the true story, The GOC in question is a man of high reputation devoid of any questionable character. He asked the men to visit the Sambisa forest where the kids where being kidnapped and when they got there, news reached the GOC that the BH people had moved from sambisa and so he asked the men to return, not knowing that the BH people had already gotten wind of the soldier's visit and went to wait for them on the road unprepared. The GOC is a very respectable individual.
ReplyDeleteSYSTEMATIC ETHNIC CLEANSING , IF THEY RE NOT FROM THE SOUTH THEY WILL BE OF CHRISTIAN BACKGROUND.HAUSA/FULANI ELEMENTS ARE UP TO NO GOOD IN THIS COUNTRY
ReplyDeleteYour spirit I̶̲̥̅̊â„“â„“ fight them heartless BH this is really untimely dead your ghost I̶̲̥̅̊â„“â„“ killed n their sponors the way two of you die untimely dead the way their die untimely dead no power is above gods powers god sees evry thing that happens
ReplyDeleteWhy is it only Southerners, that are killed. What happened to the Hausa soldiers, after all the two didn't go alone. This sounds Like another counter coup (where people from the Northern region are not killed) before Biafra civil war then.
ReplyDeleteFallin Heroz, may God protect dia families.....

ReplyDeleteWhat a painful exit, may the good Lord console your families and Nigeria @ large.RIP
ReplyDeletethere is informastion lickage during the ambush, beside BH creating another conspirscy in the country. Why govt should make an Housa or Fulany's the GOC in housa land to attack their brothers who are BH. I could rember the story of corfew in Niger Delta when govt sent dangerous Armies to us. where are those same soldiers today. The southerners serving should be alert and remember the old wound during the amalgamation. Housa's will be use as chiken in Niger Delta very soon because enough of them killing our brothers ans sisters rendering many families captive. Let us face these beggers out of this our country, Stealing our resources and using it fight us. I lost many of my family members in north, Therefore forgiviness is a SIN to me for BH and the brothers. may God receive their soul in peace to rest with our father abraham

ReplyDeleteFemi was a classmate in secondary school. Gentle and easy going and a soldier of Christ. Bleeds my heart that he wld die just like that. To imagine that his dad is still serving in Airforce. Cried and mourn with hos family and fiance. He was to get married this year

ReplyDeleteFemi was my senior in school, so calm and sweet. Its hard to imagine he died at such a young age. Whenever we had inter-house sport he was very active. May your soul and the soul of all the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.
ReplyDeleteCaptain Akintola RIP. May the good Lord grant your aged mother, wife n kids plus extended family the fortitude to bear this great loss. Omo Akin! His father was also a military man. Oga o, vengance is mine saith the Lord. Please repay and reward accordingly. It is so sad reading this here.
ReplyDeleteMay there soul rest in peace
ReplyDeleteWhy YORUBAS
ReplyDeleteRest in peace Captain Akintola and Lieutenant Femi aka (Odus baba) and to all those who have been lost to the Boko Haram menace. Thanks for recognizing these men Linda. They paid the ultimate sacrifice to combat this menace and will never be forgotten.
ReplyDeleteSouth west wake up call. Tell Tinubu not to lead your ethnic group to the north because of power. Hausas are not friends to anybody, they will finish your people. Tinubu is taking you guys up north because he wants power at the centre. Come join the rest in the south lets form a formidable force against this wicked species in Nigeria.
