While receiving the last batch of the children from India, Dame Jonathan expressed her gratitude to God for the safe return of each child, noting that since the process started in 2013, no death has been recorded.
"We have treated more than 800 patients with no record of casualty; I’m happier than you, the parents" she saidShe disclosed that a 250-bed hospital facility edicated to the treatment of children with heart related diseases was under construction and would soon be commissioned.
"We are partnering with our international friends from South Korea, India and America who will run the hospital.’’One of the beneficiaries, Miss Aisha Aliu, thanked the first lady on behalf of all the other children "I thank you for saving my life, for your contribution towards my heart surgery, may God bless you ma"
May God bless her for her generosity

DeleteThe receipts or the story is fabricated.
DeleteVery generous of the First Lady.. But I'm thinking about.. If the 800 children really existed??.. If this is another scheme to loot public funds??.. Campaign coming ahead, another way to win our votes and embezzle more money??.. Well at least it is for a good cause.. Thank you MAMA PEACE..

DeleteMay God bless her for her generosity, but she can do more, she can do better than that

Its a NGO but this woman has been known in the past to take tax payers money for NGO,which is wrong. Unlike michelle obama who host fund raisers with beyonce and other celebs you get ma drift.
DeleteThat's a good question
Delete@Anon 5:15, una no sabi wen to stop sha. If she uses tax payers' for a good cause, e no better than to put it in her purse? Appreciate and stop the comparison already!!!!!

DeleteThe idea of charity is good however the source of the fund is definitely not from any A. Aruera Foundation as the foundation has no pronounced sponsor or donor except someone who has the capacity to divert public funds for personal use. If the numbers are through then it should be announced under one public health scheme and not for someone who is trying to gather support for 2015
ReplyDeleteShut up your dirty mouth. Why have you failed to consider that she's in a position to influence a lot of people and organizations into donating to the charity? Must people donate and make it public? Acknowledge, for once, the good work the woman is doing. After all, going by your unsubstantiated comment, she could as well ha taken the money and use it for a selfish interest and you couldn't have done anything.
DeleteAbi Ooo....my money is part of it.....looting tax payers money!!! 2015 tactics..........
DeleteAnon 4:57 you should b d one to shut ur pothole of a mouth. This is tax payers money, d parents of those 800 childrens money so she's doing her job and she shouldn't make it look like she handing out alms to d poor. If she did it thru donations/sponsors then yes she can brag and I will kiss her ass, but must our politicians loot our own money and make us feel like they r doin us a favor?? Its half brained ppl like u dat keep naija where we r.

Weldone, buh we don't nid 2 tnk u coz it part of ur job
ReplyDeleteJust imagine all of you thanking her.. with whose funds did she afford that generosity? what does she do to afford such generosity? your funds are obtained to give you peanuts back. Anyway 2015 is approaching Nigerians will always be Nigerians all this is propaganda.Anyway they should be happy as I can imagine most people dont pay tax and dont deserve any service from the government.
ReplyDeleteAbeg stop confusing yourself...you said its our more and then turn around to say we don't pay tax......even if its our money, she could as well have kept the money for personal and nothing will happen and as such should be grateful she's using "money" to fight a good cause!!!!!
DeleteIt is a good thing she did, but how about we improved medical sector in Nigeria so that we wouldn't have to travel out for medical care
ReplyDeleteMe like ur response. While I commend her 4 ds gesture of kindness I feel it would hv been more cost effective in d long term if ds resources were channeled 2wds constructing such facility here in 9ja.MYVIEW...JAH-RULE
DeleteWhere did she get the funds for this project?....If it's public funds then it should be carried out under a public scheme..

ReplyDelete@dat girl, thank you for your comment. they can treat only 100 and say 900 people where treated. Nigerias like to lie.

ReplyDelete@anonymous 5:09 ur on point cos its really unlike her. Hope d kids are nt 4 rituals. Y nt spell it out. Metchewwwww. God save d kids
ReplyDeleteDoesn't mean we'll be voting for ya husband though.
ReplyDeleteWhen will this era of Mumuism end? You can say wit all effontry that it's good to embezzle and spend it on charity. Does that mean its good to use the money people have died for waiting to earn and to collect as pension everywhere and you say its good that A Aruera Foundation is posing off as its achievement. She should have just passed it off as a First Ladies Project which will tell us its Public funds for public use. So pls dont display your ignorance simply because you are privileged to. It stinks all over!
ReplyDeleteWith Nigeria's Money huh! Na Abu's money dem dey use use take care of Abu.
ReplyDeleteThumps up our dear first lady. I like dat #NewsBlist
ReplyDeleteMama naija dts a nyc tin u did! Continue wit d gud work n dnt eva get tired of helpin d less priviledged.
ReplyDeleteIt was a step in the right direction but my concern is Why can't the operations be done in Nigeria. I look forward to when our medical issues can be handled in Nigeria. You don't hear of Mandela being treated abroad etc
ReplyDeleteI really don't know when and how Nigeria will become better with what I read on this blog. How can young Nigerians be clapping for a blatant act of deceit, these are people stealing billions and then come out to say they are doing such rubbish....
ReplyDeletenigerians are sooo naive, first off why are thanking her and praising her the money that went into making this possible belong to the ppl not her. it not her money so stop praising her, if not for the corruption and lawlessness of this country we wont have rely on her to do something like this in her name and get credit for it like it her hard earned money. it stolen money stolen from the ignorance of the ppl she has in return decided to give a little back thru a so called charity. it very sad nigeria and africa is sad.this shouldnt be a charity organized by the first lady my *ss this should be right deserving of the nigerian ppl most a especially the children a right to adequate medical care. corruption is always suffered by the poor and innocent. children r dying and she is flying around the world and giving back thru foundation my *ass
ReplyDeletePls Aunty Linda is there any way she can help a 4months old child with eye cancer
ReplyDeleteWaoo, that's very kind of her, Godbless her
ReplyDeleteIts good ooo, let her continue her good work, thank you ma. For those saying she embezzled the money, is it not better she used it to help. If she doesn't do anything we will talk, she did something now, we are still talking, nigerians smh
ReplyDeleteShe got my vote for her husband, @ least she is doing something positive and giving back to the people. #apcmemberbutstillTeamGEJ#
ReplyDeleteNice one ma! May God bless your hustle.
ReplyDeleteThere is a motive for every action n even so,I pray that God the almighty will reward u according to the motive Of you actions.
ReplyDeleteGod bless her
ReplyDeleteOk. We appreciate her generosity, but reality is that teaching hospitals (Uch Ibadan and Unth Nsukka)in Nigeria have been performing heart surgeries successfully for some time now; i think one of them even has some american based Nigerian doctors that came back home to donate like two years of their time to this.
ReplyDeleteDo you know how much treatment of these 800 hundred kids will cost in india, lets say 800 X 10 million= 8 billion naira.
If you treat these kids in Nigeria at those teaching hospitals and give the money to those hospitals to buy equipment, do you know the difference that it will make to Nigerias healthcare system but instead we have gone to donate it to India. Where these teaching hospital or ministry of health consulted before the children were sent to india.
That is the problem of Nigeria, our leaders believe in doing everything abroad, that is why even malaria they will enter private jet and travel abroad.
Yes, she tried, but she and her advisers didnt do their research, and they missed the chance to kill two birds with the proverbial one stone.
Very nice and generous BUT!!doing the math for the total cost of all surgeries, questions would be raised.Close to $50 Million!!Tht can set up specialised surgical centres with over qualified surgeons to run the place.Y take the money to india?
ReplyDeleteWonderful....may God bless her, as for those adding "BUT" I think that "ETOO ONYE NA OTU OLARU, OLAA NNUKWU AMU NA OTU NWANYI OCHA" my Igbo brothers, don't be surprise that I can wrte in ur language, my Igbo friend here taught. We are one.
ReplyDeleteNigerians!!! Heeeee!!! The most difficult people to please on earth! If she ate all d money and clean mouth like the others, will u flog her? At least she is giving back, commend her nau!!! God bless you ma! More vision for good works.
ReplyDeleteOK NOW AM OFFICIALLY PROUD OF MY FIRST LADY... MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU AND REWARD YOU FOR DIS GESTURE.....LORD WE THANK YOU FOR THE LIFE OF DIS KIDS, I WISH THEM GOOD HEALTH AND GRACE. GOD BLESS YOU MA.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you Ma.
ReplyDeletewhere did the money come from? election year is close by.
ReplyDeleteEven if na campaign things, she's helping 2 save lives and putting smiles on their faces, she has done more than all d former president's wives put 2geda.
ReplyDeleteZuriel.
nicely done by her!..God bless her for the kind gesture
ReplyDeleteWow!!!!!! God bless her
ReplyDeleteStupid, Mumu Nigerians, instead of hailing and worshiping her for giving handouts from what is yours to begin with-stolen from the countries coffers. Why doesn't her husband build a solid world class heart hospital in various regions of the country? The slave mentality is what will not let this country advance. She should die already. I am tired of seeing her greedy fat face. Awon ole-bastards.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be cynical, however there's no need for this generosity if the country has well equipped hospital with qualified personnel . There's nothing like that here in UK cus the health institution is accessible to all irrespective of ur financial situation or social standing. Therefore pple should stop all this rubbish of thanking her cus if her husband has done right by the citizens there's will be no need for these jamboree
ReplyDeleteHey Madam well done ooo.... sure Dats part of state money cos u can't work to pay for a single one.... already campaigning for 2015.... well done indeed
ReplyDeleteFirst - thank God for favour for these children. Second - our money, enriching foreign doctors and improving their skills, yet government cannot invest in developing the healthcare industry in Nigeria! Surgical skills are not rocket science, they are learnt and honed by practice. Equipment and infrastructure are bought with money. Let us develop this nation, its our only one. Not everyone will be able to go to India!
ReplyDeletebuild a better hospital in your name and stop going to india.
ReplyDeleteMy people don't be carried away ,why be say na as election near mama peace or mama kindness think to do diz one..my people why she never do all this kind thing since?pls give your vote wisely let's not be fooled as usual wen election near politicians and der spouse begin to flash us wit a lot of goodies..
ReplyDeleteIf you are for real we for don see am since madam sorry your flashing no catch me at all..
Nigerian need honest leaders
I'll never vote for her husband.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's so lovely... God bless you ma
ReplyDeleteSO TOUCHED BY WHAT SHE HAS DONE, AND I ENCOURAGE HER TO DO MORE BUT NO 2015 FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND
ReplyDeleteUsing peter's money to pay paul. issokay
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointing in some of the comments i see here, those who re beneficiaries of her benevolent act will 4ver remain grateful to God for this woman's kind gesture....pray not to be in that situation...God bless u ma'am
ReplyDeleteOur tax payers money and oil money.....you mean.
ReplyDeleteBecos election don dey draw near okay oh nigerians are not fools why hasn't she been doing it all this while ok thanks n do more

ReplyDeleteAll na strategy_ Re:2015
ReplyDelete~D great anonymous!
May god bless her.
ReplyDeleteMay God bless her more abundantly.
ReplyDeleteDoes it matter whose funds she's using? For once they are using ''stolen funds'' for good rather than enlarging their pockets. So enough of the judgement. Mama Peace, or whatever you want to be called these days, kudos to you. If this is true, that is.
ReplyDeleteShe is got an amazing smile.
ReplyDeletePeople are praising this?! Where the hell did she get the money from??? Nigerians need to start demanding from leaders and not every time rankadede
ReplyDelete
