APC Falters As PDP Retakes Majority In The House Of Reps

Breaking news report from The Will Nigeria
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has retaken the majority in the Federal House of Representatives with Tuesday’s defection of five members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the ruling party.
Today’s development may have crushed the APC’s big push and momentum to effectively take over the House of Reps following the crisis rocking the ruling party.
Those who defected from the APC to the PDP are: Honourables Ladan Shehu Bichi (Kano), Abdulsalam Adamu (Kano), Sani Umar Dangaladima (Zamfara), Shehu Gusau (Zamfara) and Umar Bature (Sokoto).
Hon. Isa Mohammed Bashiru however defected to the APC from PDP. With this development, the PDP now has majority with 178 members as against the APC’s 168.

  40. PDP will crush us in this country, word is these guys were given $10million each to defect. Each fa. Where is PDP getting this money from? What do they need that badly to spend above a billion naira per head. Hope this won't be the new craze and paying for defections, if not our already stolen and depleted treasury will just vanish. Am returning back to Istanbul tomorrow, I just can't deal. Kaiiiii

  45. Some very immature APC tots in the House of Representatives the other day were claiming majority. Can you all see the value of having a cool headed person lead this country? Imagine for a second if Gbajabiamila was Goodluck Jonathan during the Yar'Adua sickness debacle. This country would have been burnt to ashes because of his gra gra. Inordinate ambition has never seen the light of day in Nigeria. Never will it be.

  54. Thats not a good development if you ask me, for one I saw the emergence of a new political party strong enough to contend with PDP as laudable, in the sense that it will provide checks and balance in our polity, must confess I am not partisan, but looking at the budget proposal for 2014 alot is left to be desired 75% recurrent and 25% capital, to add salt on injury 700m for hospital in Asu Rock, not to include the new jet for our dear presido, amnesty apropation exceeding that for our arm forces. .....lagos/ibadan express way a death trap, unemployment on the increase, NNPC without due regards to policy freely draining 9ja dry....... what the HELL is happening,

    ReplyDelete
  55. All this fucking defection won't do anything to the election, we already know wu is gonna win....new here famz

    ReplyDelete
  56. Constructive criticism should be welcomed, I am not partisan, but givena sscenario where we operate 75% recurrent and 25% capital budget, its extremely difficult to sit on the fence and say nothing.
Having that in mind the Government felt obliged to send a budget proposal to the house, inclusive the need to build a 700m hospital in asu rock, private get for our dear president, militants appropraited a budget in excess of what is to be given to our own armed forces, NNPC and CBN draining the country with impunity and regards to the rule of law.......
What the HELL is happening, we seriously need an opposition party so that PDP will sit up, but right now what we have is a mockery called APC as an opposition party, cos from all indication its just a group of self seeking, washed out politicians looking for relevance.

  59. let us not believe all we read in the papers. How can one rep member be given 10m dollars to defect to PDP.If dat was true, many APC reps members would have defected to PDP with such a jumbo pay, knowing they're all greedy
