Photo: Baby born on the street by destitude woman is doing great

This is the baby that was born on the streets of Ketu by a homeless mentally unstable woman on Thursday January 16th. (Read story here). Photo taken today Saturday January 18th at Oba's Prolific Clinic and Maternity where mother and child are being well taken care.
The woman has refused to give her child up for adoption. She rejected offers by some people to take her child to the orphanage or give the baby to social welfare. She says she wants to take care of the baby herself, that she has a mother and other family members in Ondo who can help her take care of the baby. She also revealed she has other children who live with her mother in Ode Irele in Ondo.

Quite a lot of people have been visiting the woman and her baby to show love and support and give whatever they can afford. Meanwhile, the hospital is working with agencies from the Lagos state government to help rehabilitate the woman and re-unite her and her baby with her family.

  9. Pregnancy and childbirth has a way of covering up the whole "sexual thing" that happened behind the scenes. Whenever i see a pregnant woman or a newborn baby, its hard to believe that these -- are products of sexual acts...

  43. Thank God mother and baby are doing well. But who is the father/ are the fathers of her children. She needs to be reminded of d fact dt it just doesn't end in pro creating children but giving them good upbringing. It is not late for her to retrace her steps. A word is enough for d wise.

  54. I knw d woman very well in ode irele.I knw d caused of her metal problem, wen she started.she's a nurse in ode irele while her hubby is mechanic, many people knw her as aunty nurse, very kind & generous.she and her hubby brought a land and started d building together. they lived in face me & face me house in ode irele while building der own house.in dat house she was very close to landlord daughter. To d extend dat nobody in dat house can come in btw dem.d landlord daughter is very small in age.she took her like little sis.on d very faithful day dis madness came over her, she was on her way to shop where she manage to sell drugs & do. treatment. people were greeting her congrats 4 der new opening house.wen d greets ar too much she has to stopped d woman dat greeted her last.she asked why people greeting her? how did dey knw dat dey got new house and beside today is not der house opening ceremony.d woman told her dat her hubby is doing housing ceremony today.she couldn't hold her legs for mint's on gotten der she saw d shock of her life. hubby wit her best friend(landlord daughter) wearing same cloth and people celebrating wit dem.i immediately on dat spot she got mad.she was betray & heart broken.dat is how d story of her madness started.after some months I left irele to abuja.I was surprised to see her in lagos.I don't no how she got der.am happy to see her normal again.govt should pls help her to take care of her other children & d new baby cos others too were suffering.she need roof on her head & work dat ll fetch her money.she's a very hard working woman.

And what women do to their fellow women....God is never asleep, that her best friend who betrayed her will definitely meet something more than what this woman has passed through....Thank God for this baby who's come to restore his/her mum's sanity.......OctoberBeauty
