High court bombed in Rivers State

A High Court in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State was bombed this morning Monday January 6th, according to reports from the state.

The Will Nigeria reports
The bombing of the court where Justice Charles N. Wali usually holds court, reportedly occurred on Monday morning a few hours before a politically charged suit against Hon Evans Bipi, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and leader of a group of 6 lawmakers, who has been unlawfully parading himself as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Justice Wali had about a month ago ordered Bipi to stop parading himself as Speaker of the House as the tussle over control of the state government between loyalists of the Presidency and the Rivers Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, lingers with an end in sight. No casualties have been reported over the bombing as at the time of filing this report.

  19. Please our dear President Goodluck, call your minister and supporters to order. Nigeria shouldn't be thrown into chaos because of selfish political reasons. This is a very sensitive and volatile year for our country so we need to let our personal ambitions take the back seat in order to promote the rule of law if we want to survive.

He wants to become speaker by force because of his ties with first lady.Amaechi brought peace to Rivers making many oil companies to relocate from Warri, but these thugs are bent on destabilising the state and on the long run benefit from it. Complacent nature!

Amaechi is currently owing d graduates he empolyed as teachers 5 Months salary, not even their first salary was paid. He slashed salary of health workers by half even dat of gate men earning 10k in dis hard time. He doesnt pay civil servants their bonuses. Your praising him a man dat doesnt respect elders behaves like a mad man. Very soon he will insult ur obj plus tinubu wen he gets what he wants. Useless man. Who breaks down and well established hospital and says he wants 2 buold a new one only to find out the soil is not suitable for such structure. Answer amaechi. A man without common sense. He has stepped on toes he shud dance to the music.

  66. Politics in this country is just too messed up. Boko haram in the north, crises in Rivers, all because of GEJ?!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Like seriously, Nigerians seems to be choosing worse people to lead us dispensation after dispensation. GEJ is worse than Abacha, more lives have being lost during his regime more than Abacha's regime. A lot more atrocities and corruption being perpetrated, no apologies, they are so daft that they keep on leaving evidence of their stupidity behind

  76. Say wat u knw and wen it comes to wat u don't knw shut the fuck up y'all. U don't knw wats going on in d state. Its not everything u hear on Media u have to believe. Everyone has their own view of the different leadership in the country. So keep ur view to urself and stop generalizing. By d way linda, he is not claiming to be speaker, he was voted speaker and not because he has ties with the first lady. About Jonathan and Amaechi's case. Think back to wat happened in the bible sometime ago. Satan was tryna drag powers with God so God put him in d ryt place. In dis case a governor is challenging the president of the country? If u were in Jonathan's position? Would u let it happen? Jonathan is even a quiet president, do u think such things would occur if the likes of Buari, Obasanjo or Abacha like some of u have mentioned were president? Do u think a mere governor would have been able to stand to challenge them. If u haters think u can handle the country better, come out and stand for elections, I'll vote for u. Don't judge a person, wen u've not been where the person is. Most of u here, haven't led even d list class mates of urs, that's y u sit down and type rubbish about people who are out there doing their best. If u don't like their best, come out and do urs. I hate wen people bring up topics about Jonathan like he is not trying. U only see the bad things people say about him, u don't see the good.... Open ur eyes and see that God has blessed u with a Good President, and help him fight for a better Nigeria, he is not perfect and none of u here is perfect. So stop judging him or anyone for that matter. He is God's chosen, God simply used ur votes to keep him there. So stop hating on ur creators choice. #rubbish#

  77. The Way Nigerians think sef. Do u think Bipi would be so stupid to bomb d court when he's been tried? Its like playing with palm oil, and every1 saw u with ur hands soiled with d oil and u now went to stain ur dads white shirt on purpose. That would be so daft of you. But a frnd u r not in terms with can go n stain d shirt with oil knowing fully well since everybody saw u with oil, u'll be d prime suspect. We all know how politics I played here; do something to paint ur opponent black. IMO, I think they did this to point fingers at GEJ.
