Pope Francis is named Esquire's Best Dressed Man of 2013

This is definitely 'unconventional' because the Head of the Catholic Church mostly wears his Papal regalia, regardless Esquire Magazine has named him their Best Dressed Man of 2013.

The magazine said he was picked because of his humility and his simple manner of dressing, which has 'signaled a new era and for many, renewed hope for the Catholic Church'

  1. really...i guess his "simple manner of dressing" explains why...

This man is there misleading people, he has an agenda. Catholics I love u, but u should dig deep into what u are into and understand where u stand. Linda I know u are a devoted one that is y u instigate people against anyone that speaks against them. All I'm saying is, Pls open ur eyes, the truth stares at u.

    2. Subject: On Pope Francis and the Purpoted Claims...

You might have heard or you may soon hear some irritating news making the rounds about some statements alluded to Pope Francis. Some of the statements include that:

There was a 3rd Vatican Council
That the Pope declared that there was not a reality of the creation story
      That hell is not real
That the Church now supports gay marriage
And many more claims alluded to the Holy Father.

I was tempted to overlook it when I discussed it with a few people a few days ago. But just this evening, I received a message from a friend in Nigeria who expressed shock at the recent change in the Church's teachings and he called my attention to it again. Annoyingly, he sent me another website where I found the very same absurdities as there are on the one I discussed earlier. It became clear to me the ploy in recent times to attack I uprightness and time tested truths. Funny enough we are just rising from the stupidly laughable utterances of the "Rev." Chris Okotie.
As such kindly note the following information as regards this recent buffoonery:

The blog site supplying the material for the absurd information is

      http://diversitychronicle.wordpress.com/2013/12/05/pope-francis-condemns-racism-and-declares-that-all-religions-are-true-at-historic-third-vatican-council/

After running through it I found an area noted as THE DISCLAIMER where i discovered what that site is set to do. In fact all that the site does is to post satires on serious issues. Here's what I found on the disclaimer

“I ceased in the year 1764 to believe that one can convince one’s opponents with arguments printed in books. It is not to do that, therefore, that I have taken up my pen, but merely so as to annoy them, and to bestow strength and courage on those on our own side, and to make it known to the others that they have not convinced us.” – Georg Christoph Lichtenberg.

It is in the spirit of the above quote that I write. Who am I you may ask? My name is Erik Thorson. I created this blog for my own personal amusement."

This is much more of a reaction, distraction, and a willful action to confuse a lot of people. And indeed there are websites like www.newsinnigeria.org and many others who have started to peddle the lies.

Now we have a piece of job in our hands for the next few weeks, to make sure our simple people of faith do not eat up this nonsense as it has already started to generate a lot of raves and many non Catholics are so interested in it. Let's be as proactive as possible.

Please note the following important points:

      1. Not all websites or blog sites can be taken seriously

      2. There was no Vatican 3 Council

      3. The Pope did not say any of what is mentioned in this satire

      4. The Catholic faith is often misunderstood and misrepresented by many people for what
think the Church is saying and not for what they really know.

You can freely share this with your contacts.
Linda please I beg you, blog about this, make it known 2 people that nothing wrong is in the catholic church.

I'm not a catholic but I love the office off the pope and the respect that comes with it. I believe that the former Pope resigned cos of the gay situation brewing in the papacy. 65. I advice all seek information, differentiate between fact and an opinion lest you make yourself a fool of an argument. The pope has never supported gays in his proclamations but reiterated that its is not in our place to judge and condemn sinners. The media and westernisation is trying their best to court him into popularism and also misrepresent his homilies. When he speaks ex-cathedra, he is infallible. When Christ declared building his church on Peter the first pope he did not promise absence of attack from the kingdom of hell but declared that the kingdom of hell shall not prevail against it. There is always human fraility in all human institutions but our Divine connections will always see us through.
