LMAO! Once again I ask, is this really Ibadan Airport? (See photos)

Are the people sending these photos to me messing with me or what? Lol. Like, how can this be real? I shared some photos yesterday and some of you didn't agree it was the real airport. Another reader just sent me what she says is the real Ibadan Airport. That's their check in and departure lounge? In 2013? Lol. I just can't. Is there an excuse for this tho? See more photos after the cut...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hello Linda, please note that all the airports currently undergoing re-construction in the country all have these temporary tents as the main halls are being worked on. This is a possible explanation to this. Lagos, PH all had these tents. so I believe this is someone being mischievous. I have worked on a documentary recently on these airports and I can without doubt confirm to you this is a temporary arrangement.

  36. It is 200% real, I have waited at the arrivals tent from Abuja twice. It really needs to be worked on, it would prevent the trips from other southwestern states all the way to Lagos to get flights around the country. There are enough customers to patronize the Lagos airport already, Ibadan should serve Osun,Ondo, Oyo etc

  52. Linda stop being sarcastic, we all know that most of the airports in Nigeria are not up to scratch, however i'm aware that some of them are being renovated currently and thats the reason for some of the make shift arrangements that you see in the pics like the canopies. I do not know for sure about the Ibadan airport but if you use the airport in PH very regularly like I do u'll agree with me that the exact same sort of temporary arrangements for arrival and departure are at place at the PH int'l airport even for Int'l flights!!..these are only temporary arrangements as we are made to believe...

    ReplyDelete
  53. The main lounge is being renovated, -this serves as a make shift...

  57. Yeah Linda what you posted are very real and 2013 photos of Ibadan Airport. As at November this year I flew from Abuja to Ibadan and met the airport in this format. I actually thought I was in a wedding reception hall until I saw d arrival sign. However, the airport is undergoing seriousrrenovation and refurbishment that's why you see it in this status. In my own opinion, no cause for alarm, d airport will be in better position when the remodelling is completed.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Linda go there and confirm urself.because I will always believe u.lol

    ReplyDelete
  85. I don't know what is your problem Linda.Did Someone from Ibadan jilt you or you just like sensationalism?U did the same wit the shoprite stuff even though a visit there or or call to shoprite would have debunked the allegations.
People commented on the previous post that the previous hall was demolished and another is being reconstructed. You conveniently forgot to mention that.Does this picture make sense to you or were u blind to the containers in the first post photograph which will show you that this are all temporary structures.
I ask again, should they have let passengers sit in the sun?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hehehe. Not surprised. It's Ibadan

    ReplyDelete
  87. Look at the positive side. Such airports can be established anywhere, in a very little time and at a very low cost. I will be happy to use such airports as long as they are comfortable.
