    3. Linda, if u've ever been to d mainland (bad roads everywhere, d local govts ain't doing nothing) u'll that Fashola ain't working, reports say if Lagos was a country it would be d 7th biggest economy in Africa. For such reports, Lagos is slacking and lagging behind. They have to maintain whatever they r building. Most oil producing countries in d middle east are Tax free countries. But in Nigeria its Tax is on everyone.

    5. 53 cent ymcmb * Phew! Lawd have mercy* there's an Ibo adage that says - etó dike na nke omere, onekwa ozo! We know it'd his responsibility and all but look at it this way, he could chose not to do nada and buy bulletproof cars like our dear Miss. So, since he's done this little good, let's praise him so God can touch his heart to do more. At least, that is more than I can say for our dearest FCT minister. (what's his name again?) That one is constructing an overhead bridge near Sheraton hotel, close to to arts and crafts village instead of where it truly and really matters. Sigh. God dey.

Bt to think dat dis is smthng extraordinary?! Nay! 9ja suppose don pass dis level. Dis our mediocrity is wat is dragging us bck; a leader gives us wat is rightfully ours n we grovel @ his feet. YMCMB said it d right way; made an observation n den congratulated. Simple.
Kudos Fashola. I only wish other governors will take a cue (especially Kaduna state).

  7. Why do we all give Fashola the credit? is dis his project?... dis is world bank/federal government/ state government... dis is by no way lagos alone project... let us stop all dis cheathype or can someone explain better to me...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't know if its a world bank/federal govt or not, but the reason why we give him the credit is that he is at least executing the project that the money was provided for...this is not the first time the world bank, IMF, or federal govt is providing funds for a project...other governors, chairmen, ministers, presidents, etc will "eat" the money with absolutely nothing to show for it...he might still have a long way to go, but compared to his colleagues in whatever level of govt, he stands head and ahoulder above

    1. Did you not hear or read that Fashola spent 600 million naira on 3 bullet proof prado jeeps, and that all Yoruba governors have looted more than 5 trillion naira from Nigeria?
You think you can bamboozle the rest of the country to continue your systematic looting and destruction of Nigeria.
Other Nigerians are wiser now. If you think otherwise put Fashola forward in 2015 to test your false claim of him being the best governor.

This is caked providing basic necessities but since Nigeria isn't a functional country its citizens have become accustomed to mediocrity & when the basicsaare done we hail it as a huge achievement. 1. Mumu it's lagos state project. Lagos state obtained a loan from world bank to build it, Federal Govt stood as guarantor for the loan because world bank won't release money directly to states. So the Loan is listed as part of Nigeria's debt. Lagos will be the one to pay the loan back..FG that can't construct airport road and Lagos Ibadan Exp, will construct 10lane road and light rail. Daft people

  41. @ Anonymous 3:11pm I think it's better for u to ask questions about what u don't know rather than make empty criticism. The toll gate fund is part of what the state govt is converting to the various projects u're seeing in Lagos while the light rail is a project being executed via PPP arrangement plus funds for it was from debt bond raised via a couple of indegenous Banks. So the funds realizable from the light rail and toll gate will be used to repay the subscribers of the bond. So if u guys wanna criticize, u shd atleast base it on facts.

  54. for all those calling this project a federal project, they are very wrong, it is Lagos state project, is it a federal government that is finding it difficult to construct its rails in Abuja that will do new rail for Lagos.

    ReplyDelete
  55. This would be more impressive if Nigerian engineers and firms had been hired to build it. The Chinese train their own to build infrastructure in their country. Copy that.

    ReplyDelete
  59. U people keep getting all this Fashola tin twisted... lagos was the federal capital and 80 percent of what the federal government left as road... na him we still dey use... for me Fashola is just doing ok... lagos don get infrastructures no be today... and again the light rail no be Lagos state project is a federal government in partnership with lagos state to make trading and movement on the western african corridor easy... Let dem create low cost housing for people d way jakunde did and not take their Home and get to the rich... like dey are abt to do @ jakande in lekki... Fashola has a very long way to go and hope his armed robber boss will allow him...

    ReplyDelete
  60. Please do not deceive the people. Lagos State government and the Federal government are in charge of the cost of constructing the rail. Linda be objective in your report/comment. Investigate before you conclude.
