Federal Government suspends Dana Air license again
The NCAA said it shut Dana’s operations to enable it conduct an operational audit of the carrier and its planes. This suspension makes it the third time the NCAA would ground Dana Air over safety and other related issues since the crash of Dana flight 992 that killed over 150 passengers in June 2012.
Niceee...
ReplyDeleteIts only in Nigeria that planes are been pushed lyk buses,All this "molues"we call planes in Nigeria,,,its a pity doe so many problems@53..issorai
DeleteSuspension Time!!!
DeleteWhat happend 2 my money,booked 4 a flight 4 nxtwik. Awwwwwww
DeleteThey don start
ReplyDeleteThe future looks bleak for Dana Air!
ReplyDeleteThank God! i hope it gets suspended indefinitely this time!
ReplyDeleteU re not well, go and do ur research well, if nt for d crash dey had last year, Dana air is #1 anytime, anyday, b4 and after d crash. I dnt pray for indefinite suspension cos no oda airline is as good as Dana,
DeleteThis 1 is definatly a pysco
DeleteWhy didnt they conduct the operational audit before giving them back their licence. Nigeria Government and their nonchalant way of doing things.
ReplyDeleteMschewwww...
They should conduct operational audit of all airlines in Nigeria.
I agree wif u, instead of them to concentrate on all airlines, it's only Dana they are putting pressure on, God forbid for any mishap on other airlines, we need to always be @ d top of our job. Stella oduah pls brace up.
DeleteDon't call my aunty's name like that... Are yo mad?
Deleteoh lord save us 4rm airline palava.
ReplyDeleteWhy didnt they conduct the operational audit before giving them back their licence. Nigeria Government and their nonchalant way of doing things.
ReplyDeleteMschewwww...

Dana air was suspended because as at yesterday, their flight landed from lag with no issues, then boarded passengers from ph to lag at about 6:30pm...do u know that they were mid air when they had to make an emergency landing because of engine issues...well,the pilot was wise enough, else the plane would have crashed....so the pilot had to make a turn back to ph immediately, and passengers had to disembark safely....we thank God....
ReplyDeleteSomebody should do something about Arik planes as well. During my last visit to Nigeria in August 2013, I boarded an Arik flight from Warri to Lagos. The plane actually just flew in from Abuja and it took us to Lagos. The plane had the worse noise ever, it struggled to fly, it took a while to get off the ground. It was shaking like a convulsing baby. I know about turbulence and turbulence doesn't begin from the runway. I actually thought that day would be my last. And the air hostesses kept reassuring that the plane was alright. I damn well know the plane isn't cos it had that noise of old propellers of what we call in Warri a "kpe kpe boat". You know those locally built boats with old and massive propellers that have the noise of an old fan. Those very old fans. I prayed from the runway to Lagos and so the other passengers. They brought out their tesby (forgive me if my spelling isn't correct), rosary and all. It was horrible. I think that Arik flight, just like the Associated Airlines flight is waiting to crash. Someone should please look into to. By someone I mean those responsible. Nigeria isn't without laws or personnel, they just ignore these laws and do nothing. Please let's end this bloodshed. It could be your brother, son, husband, daughter, wife, sister or friend someday. God bless Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how u guys felt. May God save our country. We need sincere leaders in dis country
DeleteUr completely an evil minded person.
DeleteAmEN!
DeleteGod bless u.
DeleteU no get gist.no cum chop all d space, bcos Linda don give u small chance.
DeleteUna doo!
ReplyDeleteGood morning NCAA.
ReplyDelete~BONARIO~says so via NOKIA3310
Ok, December is around the corner, better start preparing to travel by road
ReplyDeletePlease stop the witch hunting. Dana air has gotten their 2nd Chance. Let them use it well. We all love and want our second chances/do-overs.
ReplyDeleteDon't be a fool! NCAA tracks all the incidents that occur in the aviation sector, u would never see an incident or a minor accident that didn't cause the loss of lives on the news, so if NCAA suspends DANA's license 10 times, its ur own freaking good!
DeleteSo let's get this straight, they are shutting down Dana's operations for the third time to enable them conduct an operational audit of the carrier and its planes? Just that?
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't add up,there is definitely a bigger reason why the NCAA is doing this...they don't just think its business friendly to reveal the actual reasons considering who the owner of the said Airline is.
In all,its a good move in the right direction.
Nigeria government should be sure of their decisions before making them, I see no reason why Dana airline should still be functioning, it makes no sense at all. Because the killed over 100 souls last year. Are we quick to forget things? Well we should have brand new aircraft like th. POG and conglomerate owned by the young billlionaire. Abiodun sowemimo Alex. We should stand our ground to make a better nigeria.
ReplyDeleteNa 2day.... Confused pipo
ReplyDeleteAn only Dana, what about the chartered flight that carried people to their deaths even though there was gaping whole in the plane before the plane took off. Read Feyi Agagu's comment of his experience on that flight. This minister oduah is I competent. It is only in Nigeria they appoint people to over see departments they know nothing about. I hate when I see that picture of hers with her stupid gele and face. Incompetent ministers Incompetent president. Shior!
ReplyDeleteU forgot puff puff tomato face. Shame on stella
DeleteAnd to think i just bought their cheap ticket already. Well, thank God for this, at least i have every reason not to fly with them anymore. There ticket is nw very cheap, so they will attract ppl and go and kill them. Chukwu aju biko. I can forfeit the 9k abeg.
ReplyDeletei think they are right for suspending their licience because they are trying to joke with lives of people.i think they are not ready to make a change.
ReplyDeleteWell done
ReplyDeleteIt changes nothing....we don't have a system that works...the country is naturally sick
ReplyDeleteIt changes nothing....we don't have a system that works...the country is naturally sick
ReplyDeleteThis people again
ReplyDeleteReally doesnt make sense to me..
ReplyDeleteGood. Its either they upgrade or they go.

ReplyDeleted aviation sector seriously needs 2 be reformed and i think d minister shld be sacked
ReplyDeleteI seriously hope d same audit is
ReplyDeleteCoducted or carried out on all airlines. Odawise d wud just be plain witchhunting.
Nigerians always take un necessary action wen d see prasure on dem. Had it been dis didn't happend now, d wuldnt hav cessed dana licence. Pls minister for aviation shuld be sacked. Jonathan tak note.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I don't fly commercial, always private
ReplyDeleteMy dear ats because u can afford it, so don't talk like that.... If everyone was previledged like U believe U me, there'll b no commercial airlines
DeleteInsensitive girl like U
Shut the "F" up. Church rat like u. Mtcheeew
DeleteOk oh. Make una no serious
ReplyDeleteDana again? Dy shld go n buy new planes. Even if its 1. Heard dy made an air return yesterday due engine failure. Thanks God no causalities.
ReplyDeletepeople die in road crashes everyday. But nothing is done to improve on our roads.Let there be at least 4 air crashes in a month so that political leaders will construct good roads.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll be one of those killed in the crash? Be careful what you wish for
DeleteThis routine check would never have happened if there was no plane crash, hence leaving the life of people in danger. This is just exactly why Femi Fani Kayode was right when he said the minister needed to be sacked. Definitely Aviation industry knew that Dana airline is not fit to fly and they stillcallow it to fly, this shows incompetence of the Minister. Apart from being incompetent this is not unconnected with corruption at the expenses of the masses.

ReplyDeleteDr Chiejine
Hmmmmm, upon all... We are always having issues with dem amm.. God help us
ReplyDeleteGood one...
ReplyDeleteThe air crashes, one too many!
JOKERS!!!*Long hiss
ReplyDeletePRETTY GIRL
NCAA motto:No matter the condition fly your aircraft...until you crash, then we can work!
ReplyDeletePassengers from ph en route lag lastnite were returned 25mins later due to technical faults. So imagine dat
ReplyDeleteThis should also be done for other carriers. Arik should be next. Almost everyone is flying Arik because they seem to be the safest. Let's know the real state of what we are choosing.
ReplyDeleteArik has to be next. their damn plane almost crashed last two Wednesdays. They were going to asaba n 15 mins into d air, gbese set. they had to turn back to lag....funny thing is dey flew same plane in 20mins time
DeleteGround all planes for inspections. Reinstate licences for carriers that meet standards.
ReplyDeleteOga oooo so confused now naija don tire me abeg
ReplyDeleteShe's got her ticket, I think she's gonna use it. Think she's gonna fly away... Singing Tracy Chapman and passing ! Pop corn in hand.
ReplyDeleteVery shameless country!!! GOD have mercy on us. It's how to steal money that is their problem. Main while the country has man made disaster caused by this evil pollititians. That's why they have stupid children causing us shame and becoming terrorist bombing the world and wasting funds. Funds that can go a long way in building our nation. GOD have mercy on us!
ReplyDeleteGovernment should start their check with Aero. The last time I travelled from PH to Lagos with Aero, I swore that I would never used that airline again; I rather trek for days or even months than to use Aero. The aircraft crawled in d air like it was carrying the entire nation and it could not fly up. At a point, I even thought that was end of our story as it almost landed water. It was only God that knew how the Pilot managed to hv an emergency landing at Uyo. We pleaded for them to transfer us to another aircraft but they were so adamant abt it. We still flew bck to Lagos with the aircraft. A Journey of one hour became 2 n half hours
ReplyDeleteThey should learn to do this to all d airlines operating in d country,it's a nice one.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, Nigeriasns so reactive..
ReplyDeletewhy can't we be proactive?
Boarded dana last wk frm Abj to Calabar via Uyo, d best flight so far, so wat abt over land? D worst flight I ever tok frm lagos 2 Abj, I prayed my last prayer dat day
ReplyDeleteOur lives should be treasured and not toyed with the governement should carry out precautionary measures and not corrective measures

Why is it after air disasters that gov't hand out sanctions? So they do not have supervisory bodies abi? It's not like they will not return the license tomorrow. Nigeria fail!
ReplyDeletei guess they are yet to pay what they promised. let dem pay d egunje and the licence wld be given back to dem... smh!!
ReplyDeletewho are they fooling because a plane crash just happened and people are shouting for them to sack the aviation minister for poor management. They are only suspending Dana Air for people to redirects peoples attention on the latest sage. and it looks their magic is working because all the comments on LIB seem to support them.
ReplyDeleteNCAA whatever they are should check themselves because they are not professional at all!
ReplyDeleteNa. Today
ReplyDeleteMY PEOPLE , IT IS GOOD(YORUBA TONE) THEY ARE TRYING TO SAVE OTHER PEOPLE'S SOUL FROM SOUL SNATCHERS , THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING COS NA THIEF KNOW THE ROAD THIEF DEY PASS.SMH! ABEG ARIK UNKO? THAT RUBBISH AIRLINE? ARIK MUST ENTER THAT SUSPENSION IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
ReplyDeleteIs it possible for every airline in Nigeria to be grounded at the same time and proper checks carried out on the air crafts? Let all the planes that are above ten years be banned from flying completely, because the way I see it I don't think it's peculiar to any particular airline, I think this has to do with the life of the plane and most of this planes are really old and should be condemned.
ReplyDeleteNa only dana? Wat abt aero?
ReplyDeletethese will be the third time NCCA will ground Dana airline within 1yr & 4months, why not sanction them to do the right thing b4 dey put anoda innocent life in danger
ReplyDeletewhether they like it or not dana has com to stay! dey just bot som aircraft and are doing well now recruiting jobless nigerians. if they have to carry out any stupid audit, they have to make it a general thing and not make dana a scape goat! this guys dnt knw jack abt aviation arik does air return on a daily basis nobody says anything....nonsense!
ReplyDeleteEMPLOYING POOR NIGERIANS THAT THEY WILL KILL AFTER U MEAN?
ReplyDeleteA lot ignorant comments, every airline makes air return whenever in doubt, it's the worst reason to ground an entire airline. Now the wrong message has been sent, next time any pilot experiences fault in the air, he will try to manage it for fear of suspension.
