Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square become honorary Calgarians

The superstar singers who are currently on their US/Canada Tour, shared the photos and good news on instagram. They said they have been sworn in as honorary Calgarians - an honour bestowed on foreigners who have done very well in their chosen field. They were presented with official white hats after the ceremony. Calgary is the largest city in southern Alberta, Canada and it's citizens are called Calgarians. Congrats to them.

    1. Mrs bloglord or whatever you call yourself...you must be very ignorant and foolish comparing Calgary and Festac. Can't you people just spend a few minutes to look up Google if you don't know before typing silly things.
I live in Canada and I know the whole of Lagos is just slightly bigger than Calgary. But it's GDP is almost that of all the states in Nigeria put together, if not more. It's the Oil capital of Canada. #geteducated. - Gidi boy in Canada

If you are a Floridan, do you need a visa to enter the USA? Yes.

    1. I do not believe you live in Toronto.Coz if you do,you will know Canada is a multicultural Country. Some of this Chinese and others you see here has been here for a long time. And mind you people in Toronto and every other part of Canada are moving to Calagary now.

  67. They have started to lure Nigerians to Canada

    ReplyDelete
  68. They are both uneducated and with all their success have not bothered with improving their education and thus their use of the English language. No eloquence at all. Role models indeed! Only in Nigeria!

    ReplyDelete
  69. i no understand anything wey dey happen but it looks kinda good. Congratulations to them.

  70. The mayor of the city of Calgary is Naheed Nenshi and he's the only one authorised to give them a key to the city. If he was going to do so, it wouldn't be under a tree!
I'm wondering who the Asian dude in the picture with them is 'cause that's definitely not Naheed!
There is nothing like honorary Calgarians!

    ReplyDelete
  71. they're just doing like Canadians and being overly polite ojare. I went there once and they did the ceremony with the white cowboy hat in the airport for some people, don't know who thosse were. Nice recognition though for PSquare. For the olodo that is wondering about the Chinese heritage ode ni e. Canada is one of the most accepting and multinational countries. But they do a good job of trying to weed out idiots and bigots like you from the country

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yup Yup. They are in my City and tonight is the groove.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Mr 4:40 PM - I didn't call the guy Asian to insult him. If you live here, you'll understand that it's sometimes quite difficult to diffrentiate a Chinese man from a North or South Korean and atimes even Phillipinos (they feel insulted when you mix it up). It's the same way they cannot diffrentiate us Africans.
I am a proud Canadian citizen so I have no reason to "beef" P-Square. I'm just saying the "honorary Calgarian" thing is a farce.

    ReplyDelete
  74. They are not Canadians nor Calgarians ,there is nothing like that in Canada .This was just a honorary thing. It has no value.Canadains are laughing at your ignorance you folks written stupid stuff here. You cannot become a citizen in Canada via this ceremonial show here.
