Babangida received Aliko Dangote, Niger State deputy governor, some members of the state executive council and other prominent businessmen and politicians before rushing out to a wedding.
A day before his 72nd birthday, Babangida told newsmen that he wants to be remembered as someone who played his part and contributed his quota in Nigeria’s development.
Asked to write his epitaph, IBB said:
“Here lies General IBB born in Minna, joined military profession in 1962, stayed there for 32 years, serving this great nation and, by the grace of God, he became a military president and served this country eight years. May his soul rest in peace.”
That cake doesn't look low key though, Lol... Happy birthday boss!
ReplyDeleteMy tots exactly, they say its low key yet I can Ơ̴̴̴̴͡.̮Ơ̴̴̴͡ bout 6 cakes. He should have done a carnival then. ℓ☺ℓ
DeleteAnyway hapi Birthda to IBB
When he said low key, he meant there won't be party so having 6 cakes doesn't mean it wasn't a low key birthday bcos even the view visitors he received could have as well brought him cakes. Cheers

ReplyDeleteBabangida in Nigeria development my foot!a dream that can never come true as he lost the chance to do that many years ago;and did he say may his soul rest in piece?ok then however it doesn't really matter whether he dies or lives. No one wishes him dead as it doesn't benefit us in any form rather I wish him what he deserves.
ReplyDeleteA with a fucking amen
ReplyDeleteNigeria's development or he meant Nigeria's decadence and demise.he widened the channel of corruption which has now refused to shut and like an earthquake will soon implode the nation.he had the chance,a great one,to have used the oil and agro-resources to set the country in the way the UAE is now.he was president when nigerians still saw themselves as one and get rich quick was not the order of the day.in developed climes, people lik him will not be celebrated .Rot in hell IBB.u left inflation and corruption behind after 8 years, not a useful legacy.pray nigerians will wake up one day and see that no leader since independence has done anything remarkable enough to worth being celebrated.the present is a mirror of yesterday. If they had laid good precepts yesterday, the present will tell.I shudder to think of the future but religion is the opium of the masses,so as usual,I say e go better,God dey (however e take happen)
ReplyDeleteSpoken so well.I doff my hat 4 u bro
DeleteAmen o
ReplyDeleteAmen
ReplyDeleteA with a fucking amen
ReplyDeleteShame on u IBB! U have nothing 2celebrate about. What did u give 2d great nation nigeria? What sacrifice? Are u a mentor in any way! Excuse me! U are 72 now and as u can see,u can't live 4eva,few old more yrs 2spend n all d stealing, corruption, arrogance is gone! It is called vanity! If I were u,I wuld choose 2have lived like Nelson Mandela, his love passion 4his pple has spoken 4him. Continue ur few miserable heartless, passionless, loveless yrs while nig youths roam abt jobless, assu on strike! IBB,who cares how old u are! Men who has lost their concience in pursuit of material things! Deep hiss 4u.

Who contributed to the down plunge
Of Nigeria's economy...
Became a military president for 8years
And until his death still wished he could serve for his own gain.
May he rest in the bossom of his deeds"
Lol. Nice 1.
DeleteU said my mind
Loool
DeleteThanks for writting a better epitaph for the useless man IBB,the man will die someday and we can't wait and whenever it happens he will answer to God what he did with this country Nigeria
DeleteMay his soul rest in pieces and rot in hell
ReplyDeleteRIP Sir.
ReplyDeleteIBB predicting his own death.
He forgot to add 'he annulled d freest and fairest election in nigeria' to his epitaph wish
ReplyDeleteWith age comes wisdom, regret and atonement!! Why not right the wrongs you committed?
ReplyDeleteReally hope the said "epitaph" comes to reality soon. He meant he "SERVED" the nation or "SEVERED" the nation's future? God isn't partial; that, I know of!
ReplyDeleteReally hope the said "epitaph" comes to reality soon. He meant he "SERVED" the nation or "SEVERED" the nation's future? God isn't partial; that, I know of!
ReplyDeleteMost of the problem we have in Nigeria today are as a result of lack of foresight of our past leaders. I doubt if ibb when he decides to stay off politics and die peacefully will be missed by Nigerians, his family? Yeah! After all they will inherit the billions(he looted) he'll leave behind. Good riddance to.............
ReplyDeleteMtsheeeeew, yeye general wey follow destroy Nigeria economy.Posterity go judge him wella.First to comment, abeg lily post my comment oh.
ReplyDeleteHBD sir. Linda which one be "may his soul rest in peace"???
ReplyDeleteLow key !!!!,I wonder who will eat all these cakes, sure most of d people there don't even like cakes.hope it won't all end up in d bin. Hbd anyway and Thank u sir 4 all u did and didn't do for Nig when u had d opportunity.
ReplyDeleteLow key with like 5cakes??? If its high key nko?smh
ReplyDeleteAbi oh.too funny
DeleteTrust me those cakes were brought in by his numerous famzers
DeleteHappy birthday to IBB!but he should realize that he did not contribute a meaningful quota to his fatherland and posterity would continue to judge.
ReplyDeleteis He dead? why is he wishing for his own soul to rest in peace?
Read the message well
DeleteI love u man u are a leader Nigeria need

ReplyDeleteI love this man, during his reign it was chop make I chop.Happy Birthday to the General.
ReplyDeleteOponu ayeraye,arindin
Delete@ibb da iska
DeleteAny man who deprives his fellow man of peace when he is/was in a position to affect this peace and has not repented, should NOT expect to 'rest in peace'.
ReplyDeleteSimple enough life principle.
IBB come and marry me
ReplyDeleteWho cares about your age. It is on record that you set dis nation on unprecedented path of corruption and brazen fraud which is unparalleled to any other person record in the annal of the nation history. Posterity wii forever judge you .
ReplyDeleteFor those of you celebrating this fools birthday. When will you learn ??? The man is an idiot who facilitated the destruction of a great nation.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that this idiot is even getting publicity at all. Karma is a bitch !! His children witll soon suffer for there fathers sins.
I hope he dies soon before the new president comes into power and kills all these old looters in front of a firing squad.
Nigeria thats what you need. You need to cut out out all these old looters like a cancer that needs to be got rid of.
Thank you, you are the only person that have said the true. Some Nigerian are celebrating this man. This is why I believe Nigeria have a long way to go.
DeleteThis man is the reason why Nigeria is the way it is today and people are talking of him like he has done something great.
Low key indeed
ReplyDeleteIf this is his definition of a low key birthday, pls come and throw 1 for me..
ReplyDeleteAMEN
ReplyDeleteAnd he forgot to confess
ReplyDeleteEverybody in that party will die in road accident for bringing Nigeria backward.foolish man.
ReplyDeleteEven the epitaph is a bit of a stretch. He was a military DICTATOR and not a "president". As to whether he served the nation (depending on how he chooses to define 'service') or the nation serves him, that one is between him and his God.
ReplyDeleteOk,what he wanted written on his epitaph,no problem we will write about who he was ,what he did to Nigeria /Nigerians and what became of Nigera after he forced himself on us not serve us.
ReplyDeleteIf he knew the answers to this then he has his epitaph content already.
Again i say;We wish you what you deserve IBB
He should donate part of our money to the needy and ophanage homes too.
ReplyDeleteHe should donate part of our money to the needy and ophanage homes too.
ReplyDeletecontributed what?
ReplyDeleteHausa people sha...no matter how much money they have..,wether thru hard work or stealing...they always look drab!
ReplyDeleteWell m sure the cakes were brought in by friends n families...Chard!
ReplyDeleteYou want a glowing epitaph after contributing to the destruction of the country, you are not serious, history will never ever be kind to the "likes" of you.
ReplyDeleteiBB for all our sakes, please drop dead
ReplyDeleteIBB thinks he is a good man! What a joker
ReplyDeleteHBd IBB...
ReplyDeleteHe served his pocket n not this great nation.he was one of the corrupt presidents that ruined Nigeria. If the history of how the country became bad is written, his name will be mentioned several times.
May God have mercy n still heal our fatherland....God bless Nigeria!
Rest in peace ke?
ReplyDeleteWhose soul shuld rest in peace?
ReplyDeleteMay his soul rest in perfect peace wen he is doing birthday cos it is not clear o.
ReplyDeletesmh
ReplyDeleteThis man has forgotten that he will be too dead to write on his own epitaph; and even if he remembers to write it before he dies, folks will be too honest to even think of using an untrue epitaph. I think it will sound more like (paraphrased): "Here lies the helpless body of IBB who wrecked and destroyed this great Nation; May his demise finally bring sanity and Peace to thus great Nation".
ReplyDeleteWhy making it a low key celebration? What do you want to do with trillions of naira in foreign banks. Do you want the money to be buried with you? Vanity upon vanity.
ReplyDeleteWhy making it a low key celebration? What do you want to do with trillions of naira in foreign banks. Do you want the money to be buried with you? Vanity upon vanity.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that one of the Bamaiyi brothers on the left?
ReplyDeleteYeah,d girl's his daughter halima n d boy on his left's his son aminu while d others are...who gives a fuck really??
DeleteRather:
ReplyDeleteHere lies a man that institutionalized corruption in Nigeria. May corruption also die with him, amen!
Why are the lips of those guys at the edge like that? They're huge!
ReplyDelete
