Photos: Meet the 60 contestants for Miss Nigeria 2013

60 girls were preselected from 5 states around the country based on their character, poise, personality, and composure by the Miss Nigeria judges. It is now time to vote for your favourite contestant based on beauty. The 36 girls with the highest number of votes/likes will move to the next stage.

Each day, 3 girls with the lowest amount of likes would be evicted. These are the top 60 preselected girls. See the rest of the girls and find out how you can vote for them after the cut ...

    The only pretty girl here in my opinion is Number 7 in the first row of pictures. I hope she has the brains to complement her looks. The others shouldn't take part in a beauty contest- plain Jane's. (IMO)

    Most of these girls are pretty! Nigerians can't look like black Americans or whoever else cause we're not that. We have a unique beauty and at least half, if not 70% of the girls here are definitely pretty. When will Nigerians ever see the beauty in themselves and stop criticizing themselves? Self haters.
    Will it take an American or a white person to come along and appreciate Nigerian beauties before you appreciate yourselves??! Come on!

    Beauty without Brains is a disgrace to Nigeria in particular when representing us in the Miss World or any other international competition. For all ladies to reach this stage that means they are all spectacular!

    Agbani Darego was not the most beautiful, but she is intelligent. That is what counts. There should be some other Criteria and not if they are fine or not!

    Naija people and their big mouth. How many of them can take face shots and come out looking ok. All the ladies look gorgeous especially the dark/brown looking ones. It's hard to choose. Whoever wins is beautiful enough to compete for Miss World/Universe.

    Men illiteracy has ruined this country finish! You should see some of the comments that are posted under some of the girls' pictures! It's a shame. Why are Nigerians (except very few) such a hateful bunch of ignorant idiots. If you don't like a contestant, keep moving. Why do some people feel the sense of urgency to post hateful comments? What sense of fulfillment does it give? It's a big shame! big big shame! And the worst part is that it's the ugliest ones, those with 'market girl' 'houseboy' kinda look that go and authoritatively post foolishness! Mtchew

    (2) It is high time wearing of natural hair is made mandatory for contestants in beauty pageants. Let's see who the real beauties are without the artificial hair.

    I don born 4 children but with my sagging breast...i go still beat all this girls. pls I've seen better on d streets....make pageant judges dey select beta things...if dis type go represent us for international pageant, na last now! How out of 60 girls only 2 go fine? N dey call it a beauty pageant...no competition at all. except dem one compete for who ugly pass...feel me?
