I know a lot of guys understand what he means by that, so please explain to us ladies. I'm thinking he means he doesn't have an official girlfriend or anyone he's serious with, but has a woman/women he takes out and chops any how...lol. I don't have a girlfriend but I get my groove-on on a regular basis. Is that what single and dating means? And are some women OK with being in situations like this?

I later understood dating meant going out and getting to know each other, not necessarily meaning that you are in a relationship. I guess that's what he meant. And he said "I'm still very much single" then he added "I'm single and dating". He simply meant that he's not in a relationship but do have dates who perhaps grants benefits. So he's by this declaring his "single status". Besides he's cute and most ladies will want to have a taste of him.

Dating as used above simply just says you have a current girlfriend ( just one lady you have so much interest in) that you are going out with which you may get married to or return back to being single.

ReplyDeleteDating someone means that you and the person are just getting to know each other. It is possible for a woman or a man to be dating 3 (or more or less) women/guys at a time. It doeant mean you are sleeping with them; but rather you are in the 'getting to know each other' phase.
Dating just means going out to eat or watching movie etc. Sometimes the people involved realise that there is no attraction, and don't even bother going on a second date.
It is once you go on these dates, and get to know the person, that you weed out the good from the bad, and narrow it down to one person you will like to be in a RELATIONSHIP with.
Linda, please speak for yourself when you say you don't understand. Simple english,'single and dating'...did he use big big grammar? He is seeing people, they are going on dates and making small talk. There is nothing wrong with that, how will you get to know people if you don't date
