9 year old Quvenzhané Wallis (pictured above) has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Hush Puppy in 'Beasts of the Southern Wild', making her the youngest nominee for Best Actress ever.

Steven Spielberg's Lincoln leads the 2013 Oscars with 12 nominations, Life of Pi eleven, Silver Linings eight, Les Miserables eight, Ben Affleck’s film Argo seven, French film Armour five,  Django Unchained five, Zero Dark Thirty five, Skyfall five times and Hobbit three times.     How come we have Django Unchained nominated and yet Jamie Fox isnt in any category!! I think what happened in that movie is playing itself at the OSCAR-----------RACISM!!!!!!!

  19. Waoh! This year's category is really tight. A few of my fav. actors have been nominated. A big congratulations to the 9year old. What a way to start her career! I'm proud of you little lady..you may be up against a few of hollywood's finest actresses but I hv that gut feeling that you can take down those lions(or lionesses) A hearty congratulations to all the nominees this year..they all deserve to be on that list and may the best man/woman win.

  33. i guess nobody has seen the master, that movie ranks among best movie of all time.
    P.S Steven Spielberg does shit, he's the most overated producer/director i know.the only good movie he's ever done was schinder's list with liam neeson.it has to be joacquin phoenix all d way
