Kidnapped Imo state Dep Governor's protocol officer found dead

The director of protocol to Imo State Deputy Governor, Mr Laz Anyanwu, who was kidnapped last Friday January 11th near Government House, Owerri, has been killed by his abductors.

Laz Anyanwu was found dead along a bush path at Nwaoriebe in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State yesterday afternoon. The people who took him on Friday didn't contact his family members for a ransom, raising suspicion that his death might have been politically motivated.

  10. ooooo goodness me. wat they hv turned my dear heartland into. I knw nth wld com frm Rochas' tenure. After all the expectation frm his victory in the poll yet little or nth hs been done. He hs only embarked on phantom projects. d worst is the malicious gusto with which he snorts at his utter disregard for the rule of law. RIP. SMH for Rochas.

  14. The abductors may have needed time to clear grounds before demanding for ransome but looks to me Mr. Laz was 'unyielding'...or maybe they asked him to bend on something and he refused...
Governor Rochas keeps singing the same song of clamping down this elements every day yet they keep growing.
