Usually with stories like this we hear of mob action. But nobody tried to beat this woman. People were too scared to go near her. Halleluyah for that!
Some of you remember that 11 year old boy that was set ablaze some years back in Surulere, after some people claimed he fell from the sky? Fashola arrested quite a number of people for his murder, but were all later released. Why do some people believe such stories? Do you? Are there really flying witches at night? I'm on the fence on this one :-)
Nonsens
ReplyDeleteBefore oyibo man define "witch" for dictionary, dat one nor tell u say dem dey exist? Abeg face reality! Things de ds life dat we can neva fully understand the mystries of it all. ME...
DeleteHmm...anything can happen in Nigeria. You know if witches exist, the power of God also exists to counter them. Besides, RHYTHM Christian Church of God? Na wa o. Soon we'll have RAYPOWER Church too...lol, abi na typo?

ReplyDeleteMay God help us.....this is not true....abi she be angel? lol
ReplyDeleteBy stating you're on the fence, you have just empowered all the ignorant, superstitious Nigerians that will come and fill this comment section with their rubbish! well done...
ReplyDeleteWhat I think is, if you believe that there is a God and also a devil, then every other thing in between (witches, wizards, spirits, angels, demons etc) exists.
ReplyDeleteAnd if there was a logical way of proving these things, then we will have power over God, nd I knw God will never allow that.
Zaynab u made plenty sense. We r not God n we dnt kno all d mysteries of life. Dat doesnt mean mysteries dnt exist just cos we can't explain dem. Akwai Mayu fa!
DeleteCorrect! Pple believe God does miracles but won't believe witches fly
DeleteIsnt it obvious shes a witch?
ReplyDeleteLinda pls dis people exist o,it must have been the power of prayer that brought her down.she might have been on her way to a meeting or to harm someone

DeleteSup linda, people believe anything in africa and nigeria generally, guess what a baby popped out of my car exhaust this morning while I was revving my engine ......I'm sure people will believe that also.......spiritual and superstitious overexaggerated bunch of ppl.
ReplyDeleteMy Nigerian broda, we r spiritual beings having a physical experience called life dats why we dnt live 4 eva. Dis lyf is short n fleeting. D lyf afta is wat matters more or d oda lyf (spiritual lyf) dat determines d physical. Dnt joke abt dis tins o.
Deletewoow! thats strange o....! i wonder what this means.
ReplyDeleteJust forget about what people are saying. people keep believing in end time bulshit, forgetting that there is nothing like that. Even in the bible, it was the end time< when will the end come? This woman might have been a mad woman and someone who claimed to see her coming from the sky is a drunk. Shit

DeleteƔӘڪ there are witches I know and there wz a story like dis bout one lady dt died infront of a church too in lagos she confessed bout killing ppl nd all her winchious activities but she looked like a monster though. There are witches but they didn't fall from d sky mayb she wan do one evil bf d holyghost arrested her and she landed there. Jus saying!
ReplyDeleteROTFL @winchious activities. Grammar at its peak.

ReplyDeleteNa dem sabi! I beliv in miracles, awaiting mine!
O ga o! Hmmm. I don't know o. And pls why is she looking so dirty?
ReplyDeleteIt just so happens that these sort of stories are rampant in Africa. Abi oyibo no dey get winch too? Superstition steeped in tradition blended with religion. Every house-help is a witch yet we still employ them, some mother-in-laws are witches we discover only after we are married to their son or daughter, some of our own parents are witches , we discover when we can't have children or meet with other misfortunes in life etc etc...
ReplyDeleteIn the midst of all this we have the politicians , the Adenugas and Dangotes...and of course the Lindas who aren't touched by all these and one wonders if some people specifically picked out by the 'demons' to be cursed?
I think superstition is a general excuse we use in this part of the world to excuse not working hard enough sometimes or explain the fact that life sucks sometimes through no fault of ours
I want u 2 tell me wat u do wen u sleep, or wat u do or will do wen u die, n I want u 2 tell me how d world came 2 b, how u we're created, how u chose ur parents n wats goin 2 hapen on dis same day next year n wen ur goin 2 die. If u can't answer dis questions den hold ur peace n tink 4 a moment. There's supernatural things hapenin dat u hav no idea of. Dnt use dis scientific n logical brouhaha 2 satisfy urself. Its not an enuf explanation. All d ppl u mentioned above do u kno wat dey really believe in or do wen dey are out of d public eye?
DeleteYou mind them? To them that witches don't exist, may they (witches) visit you to prove their existence. There is God and there are pricinpalities and rulers of this world. Before you are so quick to dismiss know what your stance with God is.
DeleteTotal crap n bulshit..linda,common! Y dis kind yeye news? So irelevant n out of point
ReplyDeleteRedeemed not Rythm. Mmmwah
ReplyDeleteRhythm ke? Lindy na mistake be dat, abi na anoda church name?
ReplyDeleteThat 11 years old boy was accused of being a kidnapper @linda and was set ablaze by some crazy angry mobs. I watched it on channels. That Is a day I will never forget.

ReplyDeleteIts hard to believe sha .. But the woman sha looks like a mystic ..but how come this people always fall near Redeemed Church ..Ur guess is as good as mine
ReplyDeletei do believe this story, i a m from igbo land, this story occassionally hapens were i come from. the woman must be a witch whol flies in the night with the aid of brrom stick, the prayer in the house must have blocked her flight (like dana airlines) so she crash landed front of the house.. shikina

Linda I agree with you, am on the fence as well. As i use to be an atheist. All I know is there is a good God, also meaning there is evil in the world. i live nd grew up in london. in secondary schl during my history lessons dey taught us about witches nd how dey has terrestial powers, we read different books regarding it with evidence. therefore, if there r white witches in england there r definitely a lot in africa as d continent in voodoo orientated.
ReplyDeleteThanx dear, all u crappy stupid Nigerians who probably sneaked out of d country witout d proper papers comin. Here n claimin we africans believ in superstition n all dat, d whites don't, ur all stupid 4 saying dat in regards 2 dis issue. Na who do spiricoco pass oyibo, dat its not organised in2 a religion or order dnt mean it doesn't exist 4 dem- how about fairy tales n magic, how bout movies lyk charmed, vampire diaries, supernatural, heroes n d use of items 4rm magic stores such as ouija boards, cards sticks n d lyks, how abt horoscopes? Awww I c! U don't see d spirituality in dis things cos na oyibo ba. Make I hear una come wit dis disrespect 4 us again n una go hear am.
DeleteWell said, anon. Linda be forming sittn on d fence stay wella, u hear.
DeleteWell said, well said!. Linda be forming u don't believe in witches, take a look @ur personal life, from all indications u desire to get married but ur spirit husband won't let u be. Go sitdown make I no blast u. Witches exist all round d world! Copy that.
DeleteWhile will an african ask if there re flying witches
ReplyDeleteIgnorance, illiteracy and poverty makes people create such stupid stories! The western world is what it is today because they don't believe in nonsense stories, they want to see real fact and prove! Africans have a lot of development to do if they want their country to see progress. Enough said!
ReplyDeleteShut up! Do you no the history of the western world. They have their own stories especially in england. The celtics and co.... Most of the days of the week were named after the western Gods...... Abeg don't make me laugh. God will not allow u have a problem that even science cannot heal. Tsheeeeeew. U tthink them adenuga no get witchcraft, let me tell u what most of you don't no, it takes a generation to break the curse of witchcraft. Every africa family had that problem, but it just takes one generation to break it and that's why u see some people flourish and do well. You don't no what it means to have a good mother, a good wife and a good sister......
DeleteWonderful reply bro, wonderful reply
DeleteKim2012, clap 4 urself wella. Jez pray u don't experience problem that would defy all ur education n wealth.
Deletei don't believe dis
ReplyDeleteTales by moonlight.....
ReplyDeletefor the enlightened few, its a clear case of dementia, so many types of dememtia but most common is alzheimer dementia, now with her incoherent speech will add in pschosis. in summary demetia with psychosis. she should be sent to a mental institution
ReplyDeleteSince it was 4am and d all night prayer was holdin inside the house, who exactly saw her drop from d sky?
ReplyDeletehehehe Lindiway am also sharing d same fence with u on dis issue. No be only sky,I guess she landed with an helmet, dat explains her surviving d crash. Soon she'll open her own church. Sent from sky ministry~BONARIO~says so via NOKIA3310.
ReplyDeleteLooool funny dude
DeleteLinda!!! Siddon thr
ReplyDeleteHa! I, for one, think such stories are for gullible Nigerians with their heads in the heads.
ReplyDeleteHow can someone possibly fall from the sky huh? Geez! That's positively insane.
NA DEM SABI!!!
ReplyDeleteLol! Maybe aliens abducted her! And droped her in naija lmao *Thanks to too much watching of the series "unsolved mystery" on DSTV*** >Floetry in motion<
ReplyDeleteLinda is true ooo. Witches fly, guess it's time for her to be exposed
ReplyDeleteI'm sure most of us still remember that Ekanem guy that fell from the sky in Benin. I guess Rihanna should remix that her song #RainingMen, #RainingWitchesInNigeria. I'm bored.

ReplyDeleteONOME says......
ReplyDeleteAnon 12:41pm and Kim2012;your comments made a lot of sense.
Only fell from the sky??????lmao.
I have asked and will keep asking. Why can't we Nigerians use all these "spiritual powers" we possess to fix some basics:roads, power, security, health, employment, jobs, education, social welfare, corruption, boko haram????Oh I forget! The powers do to extend to these seemingly simple problems:)It's easier for individuals to fall from the sky.lollllzz
Well spoken!!
DeletePersonally I don't believe such but seriously things are happening beyond the physical....
ReplyDeleteDana witch!! Omo see crashing!!
ReplyDeleteHehehehehe...I laugh in my native dialect:)(
DeleteWonder why gold, dollars, and garri never fall from the sky. It's always witches and evil people and weirdos that have these type of powers. I pray Bill Gate's cash fall from the sky when I start praying around his house. Nonsense.
ReplyDelete@once a babe from canada,We are from Africa, Nigeria to be precise... and believe me when I say the fings we do not know are more than the fings we knw. There are WITCHES! Not everything is medical related or should I say science rather.
ReplyDeleteDis woman na winch ooooo..... Witches and wizards exist, so dont dault...
ReplyDeleteIs a factual. D womans look winchy tru tru.
ReplyDeleteSpoke on! Nothing does u!!!
DeleteI'm seriously tryin 2 understand d comments here..are we all saying witches do not exist or dat she couldn't hav been drawn down by d prayers going on?..if we don't believe in witches, then we hav been totally brainwashed..C'mon!!..even d whites whom we try to emulate so much know dat witches exist, but they aren't as they are in prevalent in Nigeria and Africa..I totally believe ds story cos dis aint d first time sum'n like ds is happening.."Suffer not a witch to live"..I aint sayin ds lady shld b killed..but 4 d bible to make reference 2 witches means dt dey totally do exist, cos d Bible doesn't speak in vacuum..I aint on d fence wt ya linda,I'm totally 'two feet in d field'..so many of d "innocent' books and movies we watch especially american ones,do show dia witches flying although dey make it comical by using brooms but their inspirations are from the real practices of witches
ReplyDeletethere is no point to say she fell from the sky she is a witch, she was flying back home after her night meeting and day cut up with her that why she could not fly any more, please they should kill her burn her to death, this are the kind of Human that kill other people she must be stoned to death
ReplyDeletethanks
Hon.Francis
Kill her she is a witch nobody falls from the sky she is coming back from her meeting at night and daylight cut up with her that is why she could not fly anymore back to her house and fell down i was there i will kill her stone to death

Dunno why people beleive such garbage? For Nigerians though the reason is partly early indoctrination, being led to believe in the occult as early as the kindergarten years has a lifelong effect on how we "rationally" process information. Sounds ridiculous if you really think about it fell from th sky hahahaha we should nicknmae her manna hahhaahaha.
ReplyDeleteGuess she ran out of RedBull
ReplyDeleteLol!
Deleteone word lies
ReplyDeleteDana airlines just resumed flight operations right?
ReplyDeleteShe fell out of a Dana plane... Shikena!!!!
Odera.
It might be true o,cos in enugu camp a corper fell from ceiling and all the place was close up.the guy was discamped.tins happens o
ReplyDeleteDis one na correct witch
ReplyDeleteSHE BE DANA AIR, her engines Collasped so she crash landed.linda witches and wizards fill the earth O°˚˚˚ .
ReplyDeleteFrancis Netimah - Be careful what u wish 4. Someone somewhere just might accuse you of same & stone u to death.
ReplyDeleteI personally think the woman is mentally disturbed. It's a shame education has done nothing to improve our mentality. Many have been killed due to false accusations of being witches & wizards. Poor old souls, children, domestic servants etc... Even if we have one or two witnesses witness say they saw her fall from the sky, that's not enough to label her a witch. How credible are the said witness!? Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish!!!
she's probably an astronaunt or UFO.
ReplyDeleteShe probaly had a plane crash.
ReplyDeleteYou believe witches drop in from the sky but you don't believe santa claus, superman and batman exists? Seriously, how dumb can you get?
ReplyDeleteThe poor looking ones are the witches. Useless Nigeria
ReplyDeleteAll ds witches in naija are jst suffering thrselves.... Is only local they cn fly, for 1c let them fly yankee or uk, mayb thr mentality of doing evil wil change. *smh*
DeleteI live in the States, the supposed most modernized place in the world abi? But some of them practice voodoo. I hv watched them on TBN casting out devils from people. I've had colleagues akata, white sef tell me abt voodoo n witchcraft practices here...go to LA state and see for ur self.
ReplyDeleteDidn't ur Bible tell u abt powers n principalities?
All that matters is that at the mention of the name Jesus, every knee must bow!
Checkout http://ashirigbakaute.blogspot.com/
It is very possible,I have witnessed one @ Iddo lagos , it happened about 15yrs ago. go there and confirm the story from those who are selling there for years.I saw the woman with my korokoro eyes and she was killed immediately. She wore no cloths.www.speedyonlinemedia.com
ReplyDeleteDid u see her fall from the sky?? Wow inukwa I want to witness all this superheroes oo hmmn and we though superman was fiction
DeletePeople start discerning the times we are living in...Jesus is almost at the doors...we should ready. I want to be ready to walk in Jerusalem just John x2
ReplyDeleteI never believed all this until i saw Square riding bicycle.
ReplyDeleteAbeg witches dey every where o...just dat witches pass witches. The kain witch wey dey england dey make plenty money from their witchcraft. There's a guy dat always 'floats in the air' at the city centre and u need to see how people give him money cos it's 'magic' to dem. I fit send u d pix Linda...but don't know how
ReplyDeleteAre they sure she didn't fall from the roof tho?
ReplyDeleteAnon 5.46PM I found it difficult understanding what you were trying to say. Did you pass your GCE? Stop being envious for not being able to get Visa to fly out of Niaja. Just remain where you are, and just continue to wait for comments for you to respond to. Big Fool. In short, Small Fool.
ReplyDeleteIgnorance is not an excuse. Dat u don't believe witches exit doesn't mean they don't and can't harm u. Dat a lot of u r spiritually dead and don't have have spiritual sence doesn't mean there r no flying witches. My prayer for all of u is to see d light n b awakened. Linda dat includes u.
ReplyDeleteKyle-xy....hehe
ReplyDeletey do u believe she is a witch? coz she is dark ? with short hair?
ReplyDeleteWINCH JAM SPIRITUAL ROAD BLOCK
ReplyDeletetheres more to what meets the eye...i don't know if witches can fall from the sky and i don't want to ever witness thanks!
ReplyDeleteNa wah o, e be like say she no buy fuel b4 she begin d journey. D small fuel she carry disappoint her 4 road, na wetin make her drop down. Lmao....
ReplyDeleteNo fuel for engine, she crashed. Nonsense
ReplyDeleteI sure haopens. One landed in my aunts sitting room. True talk o.
ReplyDeleteWow she fell 4rm the sky and her body is still intact? No bruises?
ReplyDeleteThe whites call theirs white witches while ours are Black and devilish. Was being prayed for once and in the morning, the gateman told me that during the night prayer meeting, numerous crying blackbirds gathered round the massive building at GRA Benin City.In my life, I have had numerous near death experiences-almost drowned @ the River Niger, been shot at and my driver killed, fell from my factory with a cut tongue/broken neck, now with an almost ruined business, debts etc.Confessions have been made by the witches about me. Better believe about witches but God is greater.Remembered two of these cases at Benin city- a naked woman was hanging on the High tension Power line at Ekosodin, off Ekewan Road, Benin City and another near the Benin By-pass intersection where an Hausaman saw a big rabbit and pursued it with a dagger only for the latter to turn to a human being.Trust Hausamen, they burnt her alive.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad that we can be so academically intelligent but spiritually stupid. For someone to think witches are not real. You must be living in the island of spiritual ignorance. Even herbalists i.e babalawo know withches, wizards, demons, evil spirits exists. Linda, I was once like you, sitting on the fence. I was in the hostel in Uni. and believed evryone in my hostel was pure, until God purposely made me see a witch in action one night. I was so scared. To think someone who looked so pretty, quiet and innocent could be a witch. Shocking! There was also a time, I totally debunked the existence of ghosts and was very defensive about it. And alas! A ghost I saw. All these happened at night in school when i felt I needed to go nd use the toilet. Linda and other LIB readers, u better believe o!. The fact that you don't even believe puts u right where the devil wants you, the 'school of ignorance'. No wonder the bible says 'my people perish for lack of Knowledge'.
ReplyDeleteI believe in the existence of witches but the reason I don't believe this story is cos, she should be dead if she indeed fell from the sky. It ain't a one-storey she fell from, it is the sky so she can't be unhurt like that.
ReplyDeleteYou guys that believe in this crap are funny.first of all,how come this alleged witch fell behind redeemed church or whatever?how come it was not behind a catholic or Anglican church but a private church owned by an individual?don't u see they are trying to advertise their church? Secondly how come witches don't fall from the sky in Rome where the pope and over 30 cardinals are praying but Naija where a pastor is trying to get more congregation?thirdly nobody said they saw her fall but apparently someone assumed she fell.has it occurred to u guys that this is a mentally ill lady who just lost her way and ended up there? Jk202
ReplyDeleteNo Redeemed church is owned by an individual. If they were tryin to advertise they wil probably set d woman in their church not behind. Me as a person won't go to a church cos I heard a witch fell there, let d next witch not go and fall on my head don't know abt u.
DeleteThs is Naija o, I ve never seen a witch nor pray to see one but doesn't mean witches, jazz, herbalists don't exist
Wow, she's looking kind of old and dirty, but if she's speaking languages one can't hear, then she must be chanting. I believe there's a God, but that i have power over witches.
ReplyDeleteGosh, she's looking really old and dirty, what's it with her sitting and talking to herself in language she only would hear.
ReplyDeleteThose of u who don't believe(And u Linda),be grateful to God for not allowing u believe.Cos it means dem witches no dey ur family, hometown or environment.
ReplyDeleteFor someone like me who born me well to say witch no dey.If not for God in my life.Hmmm.If not for God.Wetin my eyes don see.
Its possible and I believe the story cos I've seen a similar thing sometime in the late 90's at Broad street. One morning, an old woman was heard crying in the sealed drainage directly behind the UBA house. When people gathered, she confessed that she couldn't get home on time before God showed He is still the same forever. People couldn't lift the cover of the drainage to bring her out until several hours. According to those who heard her confession, she found herself there as something else after their meeting before God turned her back to a human being, hence couldn't come out until people helped her out. Witchcraft and other evil vices do exist. May the Lord never let us or any member of our family experience wickedness of witchcraft and evil ones IJN.
ReplyDeleteummm i think you guys are missing the obvious point. look at the woman...she looks like a total broke effing mess. now if witch craft is real why the heck couldn't she use her powers to make herself cute or rich?...but she used it to fly instead? smh are plane tickets really that expensive? is traffic really that bad?....oh Lekki toll gate see what thine hath causeth?!?!! But jokes aside, this woman ain't a witch and in my opinion witchcraft aint real. it's mostly about the human mind, fear, imagination and the placebo effect.
ReplyDeleteIf you asking are there really flying witches, then you should equally ask is there anything called wickedness? Are you still on the fence?
ReplyDeleteHmm! I shake my head, history 206, effect of colonalism on Afrrican ppl..i cannot go to my hometown,no be say yanyan oo..it fuckin exist.. The day God delivered us from my cousins hand nko, everybody in the house including our neighbours heard the songs and footstep in the whole compound..they were doin sent forth for her..you guys should better be careful..
ReplyDeleteBut really, if she fell from the sky - is there an "obioma" ie tailor in the sky that sew the boubou she has on? Secondly, I believe the sky should be clean - y is she dirty as if she crawled out from a gutter?
ReplyDeletePlease Linda, I want you to know there is. My Yoruba teacher when I was still in secondary school confirmed it. She said she actually saw one herself at her husband's town, saying she was doing laundry when it flew above her, a bird body with a human head and she was told by the creature to take her eyes away, she almost lost it... So ma, there is..!!! Believe me.
ReplyDeleteI believe this , and have had an experience about a year before this one seeing an elderly woman fall gently from the sky from about 10 feet . As she fell slowly she was horizontal to the ground and was pushing her hands towards the ground as if to get herself up again . It was a very clear and cold day , when she landed I helped her up . She wore a beautiful red flowered dress and had a crystal broach in her ear . She was trying to talk but I could not comprehend what she was saying . I helped her cross the street , it was a very windy cold clear day .....
ReplyDeleteWow, this news is so scary, i just can't believe it Myself.
ReplyDelete
