Oh dear, Chris Brown won't be happy about this!

In HMV stores all over London, Chris Brown's latest CD 'Fortune' has been stamped with stickers aimed at bringing awareness to domestic violence. The stickers warn purchasers, 'Do not buy this album! This man beats women.'

Instead of putting up a sticker like that, why not refuse to carry his CD?

  1. Oh my word! That's good for him. I trust British people, most of them won't buy it. Am sure am the first to comment :D

  3. These activists are full of BS - people like Roman Polanski, Sean Penn, Charlie Sheen who did much worse things to women are being lauded to the high heavens. CB is an easy target and sticking those labels on the cds will just encourage his fans to buy more of his music. His album still topped the charts in UK so they'll just have to go harder. I'm not a fan, but will be copping one of CDs stickers and all.

    2. Everything still boils down 2 racism in America, pardon me if dats kinda harsh... Let's use d cases of Bill Clinton and Tiger Woods as an example, d president cheated on his wife while in office and he ws pardoned, bt when Tiger Woods did d same, he ws condemned 2 d deepest dungeons even after his public apology, his wife left him(I seriously do NOT support a cheating husband or boyfriend though).. Dey just don't want successful black people over der, dey will bring him down. Even though beating a woman is completely wrong, bt dis guy has accepted his fault and apologized, but Nooo, white people will never accept..d rihanna wey den dey fight now sef talk say she still love am...

  4. Its not the store that put the stickers there, it if a domestic violence awareness or some sort of women's group

  5. That same album was the number one in the UK Charts for more than a month ..who are they deceiving? No matter what u do, people would criticise u even when u have moved on. He beat only one woman and he made a mistake, he has admitted it and asked for forgiveness! MOVE ON! Cos this dude has definitely moved on..it's now left to u! Get Over It. #TeamBreezy

  9. Dear Chris Brown,

Three years ago, you punched your girlfriend repeatedly in the face while screaming that you were going to to kill her. You smashed her bloodied head against a car window, bit her ear and fingers, and placed her in a choke hold until she began to lose consciousness. The beating was brutal, sustained, and left your girlfriend hospitalized.

That really should have been it for you, but you hired a crisis management team, expressed an obligatory amount of remorse, and a surprising number of your idiot fans were willing to overlook the fact that you savagely beat a female.

This past week, you revealed your freshly inked neck tattoo, and it’s plainly obvious that it’s the face of a battered woman, one that bears a striking resemblance to your ex-girlfriend.

Of course, being the little punk that you are, you denied that the tattoo was of her likeness. Instead, your publicist went into damage control mode and made the ridiculous claim that your tattoo was based on a MAC Cosmetics face chart inspired by a Mexican sugar skull. To cap off the absurdity, you tweeted, “I’m an artist and this is art. Dia de los Muertos.”

I’m sorry, but you are not an artist. You’re not even a man. You are a stupid, violent child with a minor talent, and you don’t seem to realize how easily replaceable you are. If Ne-Yo and Usher each produced one extra auto-tuned B-side a year, no one would even notice you were gone.

Your music is cheap candy, a bunch of heavily processed garbage filled with artificial sweeteners and no nutritional value. That’s fine. There’s a market for R&B flavored bubble gum, but don’t go around calling yourself an artist, and let’s not pretend that your new tattoo is art.

Your tattoo is nothing but a toy badge, an empty threat from an angry boy who resents his role as a pop culture villain. Well guess what, Chris? You’re always going to be the villain. Nothing is ever going to change that, and if you don’t like it, then feel free to step off the stage.

    No one will miss you.

    Yours in disgust,

    The Coquette

    2. Dear disgusting hater,he had a bad time, beat up his girlfriend, apologised and they've both moved on. If some other ignorant fellows such as yourself and the sticker pasters don't want to accept it,why trouble yourself over it? Leave the boy and his 'small talent' alone and look for the trouble of no talent people like yourself!

  14. A spokesperson for HMV denied any responsibility for the stickers, telling E! News: "It was very much an isolated incident and nothing to do with HMV or representing our views. It would appear a member of the public popped into one of our stores yesterday and stickered a handful of CDs.

"These were spotted and quickly removed, but, before we could act, the individual concerned must have taken a photo and sent it to the media. To our knowledge there are no further stickers in our stores now."

To humiliate him further.....'women', I thought it was only Rihanna, were others proven, and was it more than the once...at least if they are going to denigrate him, I'd hope they'd do it correctly i.e Don't buy this album this man beat Rihanna and she liked it aka Fifty shades of Grey Style, n she coming back for more

  25. because refusing to carry his cd will not make the news or be commented upon by bloggers and hence not make the point in the same fashion

  26. As a woman I do not excuse what Christ Brown did to Rihanna, but common why would HMV do this. I think this is pure discrimination on a successful black man. Christ Brown has accepted his mistakes and beg forgiveness from everyone. Nobody is perfect and everyone has made regrettable mistakes in life.... This is going too far Abeg.

  47. It's amazing how some people here keep making comments like Chris Brown is human; he beat up one woman; he has apologised; he has moved on; stop witch-hunting him; etc etc bla bla bla.........

For the men among you, I'm sure you are wife beaters; but for the women among you, I'm TOTALLY sorry for you.

Chris Brown has not changed (remember his recent tattoo) and he still remains BAD INFLUENCE just like nearly every music star out there. I just don't understand what it is with musicians and wayward lifestyles. Perhaps it's the spirit of music.

Even the girl he battered (Rihanna), how do you fancy her lifestyle? The bottom line is that, these people, by virtue of their popularity and influence, the lifestyles they lead SHOULD BE YOUR BUSINESS. So stop saying they are living their lives the way they like.

The obligation to lead responsible lives is THE PRICE they have to pay for being popular. Just like the adage, when you throw a stone into the marketplace, you have no idea who it might strike. They may be living their lives fast away in the US, but their influence stretches as far as your own backyard here in Lagos, Nigeria. So it is your business.

Do you know how many Chris Brown fans globally that may have been influenced into beating women? Please, when you see bad influence, speak out and stop playing the "it is his life" card.

Such is the burden of being a celebrity.

Nothing is going to work now so these ode's need to move on. Even the woman he beat has. Some people sha like to drink panadol for someone else's headache.

    ReplyDelete
  54. He DOESNOT beat women.. He beat 1 woman once. Time for them to move on cuz the more they do things like this, the more his fan base support him even more. His career is still bubbling so this people are just throwing rocks at themselves.
