Members of the Islamic group, Boko Haram, yesterday morning Dec 7th threw a bomb into the Igbo spare parts market along Katsina Road, by Ori Apata, Kaduna, killing ten people, including a pregnant woman and two children. Property worth millions destroyed and several people injured.

When will this stop?

  18. Biko, I understand folks anger with the whole gay imprisonment stuff, it is a harsh judgment but to be honest, the senate are being praised in Naija for their decision...by Nigerians. Everyone should chill. No gay person will be imprisoned for 14yrs, it won't happen, too many men in high places are gay and on the DL(and doing a bad job at the down low part), they will be outed with a quickness if they dare jail anyone. See what is happening to the Boko Haram sponsors.

Not to be insensitive but a gay person can lead their lives and secretly bribe some people to be married and nothing will happen to them, the innocents that die when a bomb is thrown do not have a choice or anyone to bribe for the bomb to miss them. Let us quit bringing up this 14 yr thing when anything comes up in the news about Naija abeg. Nigerians at home seem to be happy with the Senate decision.

  20. Boko Haram, the voice of islamic Hausa / Fulani people, said it recognizes neither Nigeria's constitution nor the election of President Goodluck Jonathan, a christian, non-muslim and unislamic. Hausa / Fulani people are telling the rest of us that they're above the law, better than the rest of us and can slaughter each one of us Nigerians, if they can't have their way.

Boko Haram is masterminded by northern political powers and northern politicians. They sponsored criminals and gave them guns and bomb to terrorise and fight for their political, regional and islamic interests. The menace of Boko Haram is the handwork of (retired) army Generals, serving senior military officers, islamic religious leaders and the elders of northern extraction. Their deliberate and collective silence over the unabated activities of Boko Haram in northern Nigeria is fuelling the destruction of lives and properties. If it was their fellow Hausa / Fulani people getting slaughtered, they'd speak out and stopped the shedding of blood. The killings goes on because northern leaders planned and want it so.

These criminals, manipulators, human right abusers and bags of shit are the ones profiting from the loss of lives and destabilisation of  Nigeria. They want to perpetuate themselves in power. I call on Nigerian government to bring those responsible to justice. I also call on the international community, especially the US, UK, EU, Switzerland, South Africa, Brazil, Russia, Japan and China to place permanent embargo on the individuals and families of those using Boko Haram to commit these heinous crimes. Their assets should be frozen and confiscated.

Hausa / Fulani leaders are the most rotten, filthy, corrupt and fraudulent Africans. Here's a few of the shameless rogues, looters and criminals sponsoring Boko Haram:

    • Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF).
    • Arewa Consultative Forum (AFC).
    • Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).
    • Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI).
    • Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammed Sa’ad Abubakar, the "Frankenstein" and influential ruler of the northwest city of Sokoto. The bastard is the President General of the deranged group, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA). The devious bastard is also the President-General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam - JNI (the supreme head of Nigerian Muslims).
    • Muhammadu Buhari.
    • Ibrahim Babagida.
    • Atiku Abubakar.
    • Abdulsalami Abubakar.
    • Mrs Turai Yar'Adua.
    • etc.

Instead of stopping the carnage, northern elders and leaders are playing politics with insecurity in the country and holding Nigerian government to ransom.

There must be no dialogue or any negotiation with Boko Haram or two-faced, devious, evil and deceitful northern leaders masquerading as "mediators." Nigerian government must confront force with force. There must be no sacred cows in the drive to annihilate those behind Boko Haram, no matter how highly-placed they are.

  22. In journalism, you're taught to report how many died first, then injuries, before property damage. Writing how much millions lost before the number of injuries appears insensitive. It sends the message you value the property more than the lives.

  24. Linda, you asked when this will stop eh? I'll tell you. When "badluck" Jonathan and his cohorts get some testicular fortitude!! That's when. Useless people sitting in their ivory towers watching as our people are butchered and maimed in the name of religion and politics. There is no deterrent. Afterall, when these murderers are caught, they only get 3 measly, cushy years in the lock up. Why won't they continue to thumb their noses at everyone?! May these people never know peace. I'm so mad right now, I could spit!!!

  26. BOKO HARAM IS FIGHTING FOR GOD. THEY WANT TO RID NIGERIA OF WESTERN INFLUENCE, INCLUDING HOMOSEXUALS, SO I GUESS THEY ARE DOING A NATURAL AND GODLY THING. I HOPE NIGERIANS WILL SUPPORT THEM AND STOP COMPLAINING.

  27. Religion of all sorts has ruined Nigeria. Both imported religions has turned Nigerians into hateful, wicked and murderous animals.

While Christians have a commission from God to rid Nigeria of homosexuals (so they can continue in adultery, fornication, fraud and rituals), the Muslims now have a mandate from God to rid Nigeria of Western civilization and Christians.

Your God(s) really work in mysterious ways.

This is what you get when you believe you are right and others are wrong. And everybody must abide by your God's rules.

Nigerian Christians shouldn't complain. BOKO HARAM is just obeying God and defending his ways, just as you guys are willing to jail, curse, burn and kill homosexuals for God.

    WINING (in charlie sheen's voice)

  36. @ leggy

No, you are fucking retarded for not understanding that homosexuality is a moral issue, where people have different opinions about it. Killing is an injustice act where everybody can say, it's wrong. So, how can we stop the killing of the innocent? should be the next question?

I want to see all the people that came out to comment about the gay news to comment about this issue here. Boko Haram is far more important news because this needs to stop now.

Okay, first of all, didn't Jonathan announce that they were taking actions to fight Boko Haram.
Didn't they imprison an ex Boko Haram for 3 yrs? which i think it's not enough.

The government know Boko Haram, they know their agenda, they know these people, so why are they not fighting it harder than this. Is it because Boko Haram is sponsored by the government?

I am really confused about this. Linda, just the way you were so passionate about the gay news, I will like you to be passionate about this, to give us more information and knowledge about this Boko Haram.

If the government are over there discussing anti gay law, but can't come up with ways to develop the country where their citizens will be safe, then it's official that NIGERIA IS A FAILED COUNTRY, WHERE THERE'S NO HOPE.

  40. President Goodluck Jonathan is pussyfooting and appeasing Nigeria’s enemy, Boko Haram. Appeasement strategy doesn't work with Islamic terrorists. He needs to be brutal with them. An eye for their two eyes is the most effective solution. You should not appease our opponents. Nigerian army should be unleashed on them till they capitulate. They should be buried alive. Islamic terrorists cannot and should not be rehabilitated. They must never be forgiven. They must be destroyed and buried at sea. President Barack Obama never engaged in appeasement of islamic terrorists. If you don't believe it, ask Osama Bin Laden.

  41. Err... Anonymous 5:40, what are you looking for Obama for? Is he your president? Is it his people getting blown apart simply because they were unfortunate enough to be born in this useless country while he talks and talks? And to all the dedicated prayer warriors on the site who specialize only in calling in God please start praying that the situation in Nigeria does not degenerate into what we saw in North Africa and the middle east. Meanwhile all those North African country stilled fared better on the list of Failed States *hiss*

  43. The President of "Civil Rights" Congress (CRC), Shehu Sani, was the man who arranged the meeting between former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and leaders of the Boko Haram in Maiduguri, in September 2011. Why don't the government and State Security Service (SSS) arrest Shehu Sani so that he can take them to the leaders of Boko Haram? Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume must never be allowed back to the senate. He and family must be hanged for the crimes he committed.

  44. Excuse me! Who is the nuisance that said that boko haram is not an islamic sect???? What sect is it? Do you see any christian there?

  45. The day after Arewa's "Peace and Unity Conference": The conspiracy of silence over Boko Haram by prominent northerners and Arewa Consultative Forum (the voice of the North).

The more they keep quiet, the more damage and pain Boko Haram inflict on non-muslims. That is Arewa's strategy. Hausa / Fulani leaders are the leaders of Boko Haram. They are the sponsors and orchestrators of the killing of Christians in northern Nigeria.

The President of "Civil Rights" Congress (CRC), Shehu Sani, was the man who arranged the meeting between former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and leaders of Boko Haram, in September 2011. Why don't the government and State Security Service (SSS) arrest Shehu Sani? He knows the leaders of Boko Haram.

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume should never be allowed back to the senate.

  46. kimi has made the most intellingent and most insightful comment i have read on linda keji....alot of nigerians do not still understand there are minority tribes in the north who are christians and also go through this oppression. as brn christian from kaduna in these foreign religions we have all embraced as africans and are ready to die for. i personally have made it a mission to study all religions from a neutral point of view then stick with it but i still identify with xtianity........tthe day i do decide to kill for my God i pray i come to my senses and just see myself as god also bcos i believe any supreme being should not depend on me for such.......i know am off point now lol.....peace t us all and i hope we fnd our ways right xoxo

  47. it has been confirmed by the commisioner of police of kaduna that it was not a bomb. Armed robbers have been behind some of the ugly incidents of bomb blast and killings around. The sect members, boko harm, confess to ugly bomb blast when they are responsible for it, They are not responible for the kaduna incident. it was caused by an acidic battery chemical. we pray for peace and unity in the country. If you emphasise on igbo's alone, what about mixed tribe that includes all languages in Borno that have died or are living in fear. in BORNO now both igbos, yorubas, hausas and other tribes live together under thesame roof not witstanding the religious barrier. i belive prayer is the best bid for everybody.May Allah continue to guide and protect us from any harm or danger.
