2011 CAF African Player of the Year: Yaya Toure


The 28yr old Manchester City and Cote d'Ivoire player has been named the 2011 African Footballer of the Year by the Confederation of African Football.

Second Place For African Player of The Year 2011 went to Seydou Keita of Mali and Barcelona, while the third place went to Andre Ayew of Ghana and Marseille.

2011 Legend Awards went to Ausin Jay Jay Okocha and Mustapha Hadji of Morocco.

  10. Though african footballers have not been doing as well as they have in the past, Yaya Toure stands out amongst the present lot and deserves all the accolades he's getting...

    See you're on the right track... To snag a guy, you gotta indulge in one or two of his idiosyncrasies, football being one for a lot of guys.. Not that I'm saying you're one of them but I get suspicious of girls that are into football.. Reminds of back in my unilag days - was with a couple of moremi chicks who were seemingly interested in yarning about footballers. Rather that it being about their prowess on the field of play, the yarns centred on the size of the footballers bank accounts...

  13. Yaya Toure did good last yr. but the award should have gone to Eto for scoring some many goals and helping inter milan qualify for champions league
