My sure uncle Johna will soon put it on facebook and say: In our effort to make Nigeria a better and bigger place.. we are partnering with Bill Gates foundattion to provide water supply to people in the north.. when someone like fashola is shipping trains in to Lagos.. he's always peaking latin.
Hey Linda, People get kidnapped in the western world as well! I see that majority of your bloggers are either women, ladies, or girls. Majority of them can't contribute to the African Economy rather they chose to degrade their motherland. They chose to throw stones while they all live in the western world. I am computer scientist by profession, I worked in the US for like 10 years, now I'm back in Nigeria woking for a Telecom company. Millions of Nigerians are not contributing to their economy, but rather talk, gossip, wine, wine, and wine all day while washing dishes for the oyibos....
Kidnap ke? JOKE: The kidnappers would tell him to sign a contract to employ them; so that they too can become millionaires and ask him to forgive them.
anonymous September 29, 2011 7:37 PM your very funny.Who knows what he came to Nigeria to do,maybe to borrow central bank money and then ask them to sack there staffs like Warren Buffet did the Bank of America.I just hope his visit is for good
Bill & Melinda Gates foundation in conjunction with Ministry of health are working flat out to eradicate polio in Nigeria. bill Gates is very committed to this cause. His foundation is pouring a lot of money to make Nigeria Polio free. We appreciate his generosity and commitment to assisting Africans.
farai American billionaire donate whatsoever game they donate because they want to avert tax.All this are game plan.If your interested to know,America don't go where they won't gain.
I wonder what's in that thick envelope? Was Bill Gates giving it or receiving it? If he was giving it, I hope its a wad of pounds ( I say pounds cos they are worth more than Naira, GJ's currency and dollarrs BG's currency)
@Anon 8:32pm Your comment is quite insulting and degrading to Nigerian women. What do you mean majority of them cant contribute to the Nigerian Economy. So what if you worked in the US for like 10 years and are now working as a computer scientist in Naija. Big deal. I know people who lived in the US all their lives, women, who are now building industries and corporations in Nigeria, and hiring people like you to work for them. I know Nigerian women whose families depend on them to survive. My aunt's husband was out of a job for many years, and she was the one carrying her family. The women in my family are the ones that had to support my grandparents and relatives. Instead you insinuate that all Nigerian women do is "talk, gossip, wine, wine, and wine all day while washing dishes for the oyibos...."
Please stop insulting your mother, sister, daughter, female relatives and female friends, because that is exactly what you are doing. You spent 10 years in the US? I've spent more of my life in the US, than any of the other countries I have lived in, including Nigeria. People like you are the reason for the challenges faced in Nigeria, spilling so much garbage from your lips, and turning everywhere into a dumpster.
How dem wan kidnap am? guy wey dey use Antivirus jazz. abi Una think say d guy no dey use jazz too? Forget o! 4 him to get liver come 9ja despite boko haram dem and d rest of the nonsense wey dey happen 4 dis 9ja.

@ Linda, Bill Gates isn't the richest man in the world rather, he's the richest American in the world. Carlos Slim is world richest person with about $74 billion compare to Gates' $59 billion..... just tryna inform u ni o! lolz
all these dumb posts are amazing. the man is working extra hard to eradicate Polio that your stupid leaders can't eradicate. What is there to gain personally in eradicating polio in Nigeria for the man?
u re on point Jay O....tell anonymou 8:32 PM so becos u av stayed in d US for 10yrs does'nt gives the right to pass judgment on we nigeria women. People like you are the reason for the challenges faced in Nigeria, spilling so much garbage from your lips.... true talk.
The man is doing a good thing that very few well to do Nigerians wont do. Instead folks are busy running around in ROlls Royces when their immediate neighborhood looks like shit.
@CLF Hear you loud and clear..the Colonialist all did the same thing not just in Africa but in all Countries with people of colour..they just a bit slick these days..but the intent never changes.. Never seen a rich man turn down an opportunity to make more money..or be an Agent..
Ade Cool; the foundation's alliance with Mosanto and all the tax dodging changed my mind about him. Then there's the Malthusian agenda. Why is it that the world's largest parasites can't free up the most resources by "depopulating" themselves first? It's common knowledge that he's a Eugenics freak and has made speeches about population control using vaccines.
@CLF...good to know someone is on the same page..I worked with some Rich people and their charities as you alluded are nothing but Tax Relief/Breaks... I heard they thinking of intoroducing some AIDS/HIV vaccine to Nigeria..I swear down u going to see people dying like flies..it actually excerbated the situation in S.A and other previously high risk countries..the only prevention..is safe sex or sex with protection..
Good thing his reaching out to other countries. With this he can be able to share the knowledge he got about technology and how to manage a big business.
