Woman stabs husband; rips his bowel open

A 30-year-old mother of three, identified as Pwaneno, has been arrested for stabbing her 35-year-old husband in the stomach, ripping his bowels open. Eyewitnesses say they saw the man's intestines gush out as a result of the deep stab. The incident happened in Jimeta-Yola, Adamawa State. The woman allegedly stabbed her husband after finding out he was planning to take another wife.

Mr Dominic Daniel Shalda (pictured above) is receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yola, while his wife is cooling her heels at the police station.

What's with all this stabbing stabbing stories. If you are tired of being married, why not walk away, abi is it by force?

  11. Now that the female is culprit, everybody is now blaming marriage. What happened to tearing the woman apart??

It's by force? It is this kind of mindset that will continue to cause people to want to take their spouse's life or harm them. Sometimes, people do not want to enter this "contract" called marraige to begin with but bloody Naijas will not let them be. When they want to leave the "contract" same bloody Naijas will tell them to stay by fire by force. I went to an African store the other day and you need to hear sierra leonian ladies talking about how they dispise Naija culture because when it comes to the issue of marraige Nigerians make it a do or die affair. I could not agree more with all they said albeit silently.

Keep stabbing and dicing yourselves up una hear? Ha ha ha! :)

  14. I don't condone what she did but she must have been frustrated with his cheating ways as well. I had the privilege of visiting a state's male and female prison and was informed that most of the female prisoners were imprisoned for killing their spouses.

It's really sad. Women give so much in their relationships.

  15. Hia o! Guess it's the new trend now, stabbing and killing each other. Oyinbo film don teach nigerian's nonsense!

  16. cant believe people here are still blaming the man!!

If you think he's cheating on you, why dont you walk away..like you advice emotionally abused men...instead of stabbing??

I guess it's ok for females to stab for whatever reason!

    God help us o. . .

PLEASE! some of you are overreacting. what she did was wrong but this didn't just start today. this has been going on for ages, but thanks to the media and the internet, etc, news, word, and any incident travels in a matter of minutes. so there is nothing new in any of this. so stop the whole "Nigerians, is it the end of the world, blah blah" gosh.

marriage is not do or die, if you are tired, simply get out. like wtf and save just yourself a meaningless life sentence in prison.

  19. I would consider this more of the husband's fault.
His desire for another wife obviously shows his greediness.
The problem lies within the culture where marrying of 2 wives or more is a norm which is of course very stupid. But, nothing can be done as a result of the many ignorant Nigerians still bound by irrelevant cultural practices.
I'll say its all his fault.
It's not new that Nigerian women are taught to respect their husbands and (sarcasm) bow down to them when marriage should simply be the result of 2 people who love and RESPECT each other, NOT the man doing whatever he can out of greed.
I wonder why he isn't dead.

Your Photoshop skills are most definitely improving!
I still want your camera. Haha
    That outfit is amazing.
The boots and socks, awesome of course. But for me its way too hot here.

  20. LOL!! woman are such a trip. See all the 'ehn its wrong BUT...' Hypocrites!!

Just last week everyone was raging at the banker that got chopped up. If this man had died now it will be the same "ehn...he must have done something"

Everything seems to be wrong with that country. How do we go about educating everyone?? tufia!

  21. more of the husband's fault? how so? is she the only one whose husband is polygamous? how can it be anyone's fault.
if that were the case, we can say some women deserve to be killed for nagging, some to be raped for wearing micro-mini etc
no-one forces you to do evil

  22. I am amazed at some responses here. It is NOT ok to stab or kill your partner in the name of whatever, such as he wants to take a second wife,he wants to marry 1million wives, cheatin etc. What she did was WRONg!

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS A VIOLATION OF hUMAN RIght!

She violated his right and justice must be served just as it applies to Arowolo who murdered his wife!

  23. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS NEVER D VICTIM'S FAULT.

  24. nawa oo now everyone is blaming the man...in titi's case we all blamed the man...Even shush blamed the man but she was only trying to say that the woman may have been nagging the man and that made him commit the act, everyone wanted to slay shush BUT now people are saying that it is the man's fault because he cheated on his wife...Abeg we women should stop being sentimental...The woman had no right to stab her husband she should be purnished severly...i feel so sorry for the man...if she didnot like what her husband did, she had a choice..she is as guilty as late titi's husband case closed! btw God help her let that man not die if not na gbese she don carry for her head!

    ReplyDelete
  25. @bukky NO i strongly disagree with what you wrote. No the man does not deserve to die as titi didnot also deserve to die. Afterall polygamy is not a new thing in nigeria. if she felt she couldnt stand her husband bringing in a second wife she should have left. she had no right to stab that man....Nothing can ever justify what she did. i am a woman and i am saying this if we could all crucify kolade for killing titi then we should crucify this woman for stabbing her husband....Even if he cheated on her he doesnt deserve to be stabbed!!

DISCLAIMER: i am not in support of polygamy neither do i condone cheating. I pray i would never be in a situation like this BUT ild what ild advise someone in a situation like this to do is to walk out rather than stab him.

  26. "It's the guy's fault he got stabbed"

    Oh really???

Wow! Mehnnn I swear Reading the comments on this blog sometimes, confirm my belief that we have alotta people with some very questionable mindset roaming around.

Cheating or bringing in another wife is NOT justification to kill anybody in my own book but I refuse to go on a rant tirade so I'll digress...

@Anonymous- Equality is a myth and at the end of the day, when it comes to murder or attempted murder, people tend to get more outraged based on the motive or lack of it thereof and also the manner in which the victim was murdered.

In a court of law, this particular case would probably be termed "passionate crime" which is usually judged with leniency.
Titilayo's case on the other hand will most likely be termed "first degree murder."

Also, we all know domestic violence goes both ways but we cannot deny that women are mainly victims based on several reasons.

All in all, NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO KILL!
    #Period
Nothing ever justifies killing for me except self defense and I am talking life or death situation type self defense.

Not ...."I think he's going to kill me.. "
if u still had time to think, u still had time to run!

    That's how I see it.

This lunatic of a lady deserves to spend the rest of her life in jail.
    And that will be all.

This stuff has been going on for years. Husband killing wife and vice versa. Go and check the police stations, law courts and prisons you will hear stories. It is just because people have more access to the media and vice versa that these stories are being reported/read now.

SPLITTING HIS BOWELS OPEN BARBARIC NATION!!!Its when women put all their welf worth in a man that this happnes. will she achieve the perfect family life in jail...

Marraiage is a good and honorable thing but in Nigeria we take it too too far.

I jus came back and all I hear is where are my busbands and kids and then recommended sites for delverance in order to get married

As an anon in my blog said

// Do you people sincerely think that it is God's wish for everyone to get married? Just because Nigerian society makes marraige and child bearing seem like the begining and the end of one's life does not mean that it is that way with God. This is also why some women and men keep hopping from one bad marraige to the next and they wonder why they are not happy in the institution. God has a different purpose for each individual. For some, it is the purpose of marraige and kids and for others, it is something else. Here in the West, I see single women making strides everyday. Some are at the peek of their careers, others adopted a baby or two and are enjoying motherhood, others are making a positive impact in their communities through volunteer work (Volunteering, yes,...a strange word for many Nigerians.....), others are U.S Supreme Court Judges, others are researchers and experts in their chosen fields and the ADVANCED societies they live in celebrate their accomplishments.

However, Nigeria is another case. It is an overwhelmingly negative, unproductive, oppressive, disorderly, UNADVANCED society. It is a society I will never want to raise my kids in even if they paid me to. We Nigerians blame our leaders for the mess the country is in but most of its citizens are as much to blame with their backward, oppressive, gendercentric mindsets. Even other Africans here abroad talk negatively about how Nigerians are obsessed about marraige and the birth of children and how Naijas pop babies out like unspayed rabbits knowing they lack the adequate financial resources to take good care of the kids and offer them an enviable quality standard of living. Anyway, na una sabi. Peace! //

May he get better if he isnt alrady dead.:(
