Some friends in Abuja told me that the Federal Government have imposed something similar to a curfew in Abuja from yesterday June 29 due to Boko Haram attacks. They are saying all eatries, fun spots, shops etc have been advised/ordered to close at 10pm till further notice.
I don't live in Abuja, so I don't know how true this is, but what I know is that most of the Boko Haram attacks were done in day light.
Meanhwile the Nigerian Army yesterday said they will soon eliminate all Boko Haram members. Amen!
yes there is....
ReplyDeleteIndeed?!! What part of Abuja are you guys? cos I know of no such thing and I live here!
ReplyDeleteI've read it in several online newspapers that there is indeed a curfew.
ReplyDeleteThere is no curfew in Abuja. Increased security consiousness? YES!
ReplyDeleteWell, there's some sort of curfew if you'd like to call it that. it's for leisure centres such as cinemas, eateries and clubs. Expected to close at 10pm everyday even weekends! sucks for night crawlers, doesnt affect me at all!
ReplyDeleteYes o Linda, its very true. And it is applicable to all parts of Abuja, cause they have already started the implementation.
ReplyDeleteCurfew in Abj? I am not so sure about that, people are just more security conscious, the fear of Bombing has become the beginning of wisdom for night crawlers, that's what it is.
