Twin Brother Takes Over Church of Disgraced Pastor, Albert Odulele

Albert Odulele (Left) and Vincent Odulele (Right)

The twin brother of disgraced Nigerian-born London-based pastor, Albert Odulele of Glory House International, has taken over the affairs of the church. Vincent Odulele, a pastor with the church, has been presiding over the congregation since his brother pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting teenage boys.

This church still has members? What some of these so called 'Men of God' get away with amazes me!

  1. my only response to that would be people will not stop fellowshiping/going to church because a man of God has fallen/ sinned etc...we serve God not man. Furthemore Christianity is a PERSONAL relationship...not that its not important to have leaders who embody the character of God etc... at the end of the day I have to work on my own salvation and relationship with God...these men/women who are leaders are human and they WILL make mistakes...i do not agree with it nor do i condone it but if i choose to base my christianity on them (e.g Odulele etc..) I will lose my faith.

  2. Are u surprised? it's only in an African (Nigerian) church where people practically worships the pastor.

I can assure u....If he comes back from jail or whatever, he'll continue the business

  3. Please stop being hypocritical and get your faith right, are you going to church to worship Man/Mog or going to church worship God himself. What has the pastor's misdemeanor gat to do with the congregration's faith and covenant with church.
Its do as i say and not as i do, coz no man is perfect except God, so Linda with no pun intended towards your opinion, i think the church should go on. How bout the American pastor Justice long with thesame offence yet to be convicted in the court of law though still has his airtime on tee-vee and his church fuller than ever. Lets wash off this african mentality and start seeing MOG as mortals too.
    Fiercely!

  4. wow wow wow..

    Some people are just SHEEP!

pastor steals money. OK. pastor SEXUALLY ASSAULTS YOUNG CHILDREN, he's 'only human'. WOW! AND YOU GUYS WANT TO GO TO HIS CHURCH AND GIVE HIM MONEY TO CONTINUE HIS LIFESTYLE..

Sorry about the all caps but WOW! I'm sorry but certain public personalities have a RESPONSIBILITY to NOT RAPE PEOPLE! Go to a different church if you want. But supporting (giving money) to aid the extravagant lifestyle of somebody who HARMS people is not and ever should be excused

  6. I hear people who say u go to church to worship GOD and not the pastors , but no be only their church GOD dey !!!
I certainly would not want my children to continue attending that church with me. I would seek GOD in another church . That church and it's pastor has lost all respect and moral authority as far as I am concerned! Doing that to children was just being wicked, pure and simple !

  7. Just this evening i was discussing with my folks how worrying the pedestal that Nigerians place MOG.
These men are men after all.
    They are not Jesus' assistants.

  8. Linda, Anonymous 9:56 and others of like minds esp anon 9:56, you say RAPE as if u were there. Look, in this country sexual offenses can be anything from suggestive glances to the rape you speak of or even a rub of the head cos if someone I don't like at work says hello to me and so much as touches me, I can tell HR I feel molested. So please till you hear what REALLY happened, the sexual offense generalization should be regarded as vague.

p.s- I don't know this man or his church.

  10. I dont know how credible this story is.I googled it online and no British media seemed to be carrying it.I only found it as discussion threads on Naija websites like Nairaline.Sahara reporters also had an article on it but they did not even get the address right. The Sahara website reported the church to be in Kent meanwhile Glory house is in East London (Plaistow to be precise)...We all know Sahara reporters and their issue with false journalism & lack of credibility.

I hope it is a lie...If it is true then he deserves whatever he gets!

  11. I am a little suprised at some of the comments he who is without sin should please cast the first stone.christains are the only one who kill our own . If he was in a cult am sure they would act diffrently. That been said u went to church for God and not man his lifestyle and sin is between him amd God so is yours. If your children never went to church the molester could be your neighbour , friend or even help.so it has nothing to do with it. No man would want to destory what he has built that only tells us that the devil is at work wht he needs is love and prayers.

  13. Listen Abike, I have worked with rape survivors in the West and people like you are a big part of why stories like this never comes to light. People are too quick to deny that it exists. Do you think it's beans for someone to go against his community/family/friends to bring to justice someone who's harmed him/her??

A quick google search brings up British and (even POLISH!) news articles that this guy "has admitted indecently assaulting a boy aged 14 and sexually assaulting a 21-year-old man". HE ADMITTED THIS! WHERE IS THE DOUBT?

Whether you go to church only for God or whatever, you cannot SEPERATE that you look up to your leaders for spiritual guidance. I'm not saying that they are perfect but they RIGHTLY should hold themselves up to higher standards. I know TONS of atheists that would never assault a child. What if it was your son that is scarred for LIFE due to "pastor". And you people keep going to churches like these. SMH!

Anon 9:56 (always bewildered by what Nigerians put up with in the name of religion)

  14. @Abike, down playing sexual assault because it was not your gateman assaulting your own child is extremely grievous!!

Here's a comment by someone called 'Justice Peace' posted today that understands it:

    http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_114685178609585

"Indecent assaults is a sex crime under section 3 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. This might include behaviour such as forcing someone to watch pornography or masturbation. This is also related to physical attack cases, including but not explicit to unwanted oral sex. Mr Odulele's 2nd offence of sexual assault may include rape, forced vaginal, anal or oral penetration, forced sexual intercourse, inappropriate touching, forced kissing, child sexual abuse, or the torture of the victim in a sexual manner. While there are many controversies regarding the cut off age of victims of Paedophiles, the ICD-10 defines pedophilia as "a sexual preference for children, boys or girls or both, usually of prepubertal or early pubertal age.

  16. I read in d papers d other day about a preacher who fell from grace, he begged d church for forgiveness he realized he made a mistake. Some folks left d church and said 'he is supposed to b a man of d cross' see they 4gor he was d same man that prayed for them when they fell and were lost.

I'm so glad God is not like man (Linda and co) he won't throw u away after u hav done wrong. If u repent of ur sins God will lift u up and put u right back when u started from. Halleluia wat a joy to knw God

All this 'cast the first stone' nonsense is the excuse used to cloud the issue. please go and tell that to the courts/police etc. So if the 'secular world' did not exist to provide justice for the children what would YOU as a christian do?? Would there be no punishment for crimes??

The victims of this pastors sex assault have endured being looked at as the enemy of the church/God for daring to speak up about WHAT Pastor DID!

They've had the pain of telling strangers secret things this man has done to them. As with most of our Nigerian churches, all the kabashing (speaking in tongues) the church has done has been against them, they've been binding and casting the children (eg I come against every accuser of the MOG etc), shey now wey them don see say the children dey talk true tory don change abi??? Now it's touch not, judge not! na devil o, no be pastor!!

Make una no grieve the Holy Spirit o, hmm. He said in Matt 18:6 "if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea".

DO NOT CREATE A CULTURE WHERE CHILDREN ARE AFRAID TO SPEAK UP WHEN MOGs, etc SEXUALLY ABUSE CHILDREN (Apologies for the caps).

e be like say MOG bling de shine so tay e don blind una, a word is enuf for the wise

  18. Man of God my arse, more like God of man and spawn of the devil. He has admitted that he sexually assaulted under aged boys so what more proof do you need? Besides, i know people who have known him from his University days in Nigeria and have attested that he’s always been a closeted gay man! My family friend’s wife goes there and she said she’s trying to stay objective. I loathe spitting but i ran to the sink and spat out when he told me. Sheeple. It’s people like her that have been indoctrinated.
Meanwhile, Vincent is his identical twin. How do we know the gayness and paedophilia streaks don’t run in his genes too? Food for thought!!!!!

  19. I know his twin brother runs the branch in Nigeria and he only came down to speak to the congregation.I wish they could actually come out with how he sexually abused this little boy and whether he had penetrative /. anal with the 21 yr old. At least this will stop people from instigating that it was rape. Also, if there is anymore secrets, this is the best time to spill the beans. My prayer is that both the victims and the pastor find healing and forgiveness from God.

    @ Abike March 15, 2011 12:03 AM

Knock yourself out. Stop being naïve. Stop the cover-up. Spare a thought for the victims. They didn't ask for it. They trusted him and he took advantage of them. Stop defending a pedophile, predator, and child molester. He was at it for many years. He was a pastor for over 18 years. What version of the Bible was this "King James" using in his sermons? He was gay in all that time. He destroyed lives - lives of his victims, lives of Children. Why didn't he stick to having his gay sex with men his age? Why molest children? No one lied against him. He admitted the offences in court. It was on channel 4 news and in the papers here in United Kingdom. I watched it. I brought it to Linda's attention. I think there are more victims of that man. The rest probably didn't want the publicity and stigma attached to sexual molestation or rape. Abike, you and other foolish and ignorant people like you should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to defend evil. Evil is evil regardless who is involved. Anyone defending this man should bury their head in eternal shame. Phone his church and they will confirm the facts. No one lied against him. What he did to those children was horrible. Pedophiles should not be allowed anywhere near children. He's on the sex offenders' register where he belongs. It is wrong that his brother should take over the church / business. It gives him access to the church's finances, and possible access to children and his victims. The so called "church" should be shut down. It's a money making scheme. It's a scam.

  22. @Linda ur blog is starting to irritate me... How did he get away with it if he is in court??? And thankfully not nigeriancourts where he will bribe them to get off - don't tar evrryone with the same brush his brother is not him and not all men of God are the same if u choose to deccieve urself and not acknowledge men of God that's ur personal opionion it's obvious but leave those with their religion alone and stop ur little digs over the last 6 months I've noticed that u have some Bitchie posts either towards individuals or especially towards churches or mog be nice it doesn't cost much !!! I'm not condoning what he did but what would Jesus do? He who has no sin be the first to cast the stone - if the armed robber nailed to a cross can make heaven after all the atrocities he undoubtedly committed in his life and he gets forgiven at the last hour of his life what can we say to that? I've put my email address and name so I'm not hiding under anon ok dear?

  24. pls let's get things straight.sex with a consenting adult is different from sex with a minor.if the pastor so wanted to unleash his sexual preferences, i believe there are lots of willing gay men in Britain. it is the height of betrayal, selfishness and cruelty to visit your unbridled passions on a child. even Jesus Christ says, if anyone causes one of these little ones to sin, it is better a millstone is hung around his neck and he is drowned in the sin. So choose, the biblical punishment or ex communication from church?

  25. I understand this is serious scandal but these are some FINE brothas.

Can people investigate if the twins are not involve in some shady things too. Eddie Long, Albert Odulele, other fake pastors, go deal with your issue with God before you lead others astray.

People, STOP worshipping human, only worship the one and ONLY true God.
Read the BIBLE for yourself. If you are deceived, you choose to be deceived because the Bible is right there for you.

All these so called man of God are not supposed to be teachers but learners. STOP using God's name for your own personal gain. Remember, many will prophesy in God's name, use God's name and on that day, God will say, I NEVER KNEW YOU.

So, it's an individual thing, people go get your relationship right with God, first.

  26. U bloody idiots should just shut the eff up. It's easy for u to say, cease fire, afterall, what will Jesus do but guess what, Jesus didn't do any of that shit. If you're in a place of authority, pls act the part. Yea we forgive him and all of that but truth be told: gay no dey commot for body so even after asking for forgiveness and be forgiven, he'll still go back to molesting innocent children. My take is, he should be asked to step down and let a more credible man of God take the podium. I have a son and cant even imagine a grown ass man poking his a-hole. If you idiots were the mothers of the children he molested, I bet y'all be singing another sad song. Please let's not condone evil in the name of religion. Even God in his infinite love and kindness has made hell fire available for those who go contrary to his will so let's stop deceiving ourselves.

  27. @ Toyin

He got away with it for years. He ended up in court not because he repented or voluntarily confessed. If he wanted, he could have done the decent thing and confessed before the law knocked on his door. At firt he denied it. But after the police investigations and the evidence against him, he owned up. He knew the truth, but he initially lied. Thats a man that is supposed to be a man of God. His victims - the young men he had been sexually abusing grassed him up. That's how the authorities found out. If his victims hadn't spoken out, he'd still be at it and still living a lie. His intention was to get away with it, but thank God his victims whom he groomed and molested spoke out.

Google his name or his church. No one lied against him. There are many others like in the clergy. By God's grace they shall all be flushed out.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Are we saying that his twin brother was not aware of what his brother was doing? No one wants the ministry to die but the issue is that most of the leadership of the church were aware of the issues and no one stood up against it. Instead quite a number left the church. It seems that unless it is ur child that is abused, we seem to keep quiet. Where truly is the brotherly love?

    ReplyDelete
  29. concur with anonymous 9:50a.m and chilling.

excuses! excuses! excuses! nigerians with their holy holy attitude! if it none other person that a so-called mog they would had heaped brimstone & fire on the person!

now his twin brother is taking over?.....who says church is not a business? why not another pastor who is not related to the accused? because it all boils down to money! people are here deceiving themselves about coming to worship GOD and not man! if so, worship GOD in your house then. The bible says where 2 or 3 are gathered he is there abi?

  31. GREATINGS, FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO SAY THAT PASTOR ALBERT ODULELE HAS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE A MAN AFTER GODS HEART.WHAT EVER HAS HAPPENED (AND WE ARE NOT CONDONING SEXUAL ASSAULT AND IF PASTOR ODULELE WAS TO SPEAK FOR HIMSELF YOU WILL FIND THAT HE DOESNT CONDONE IT EITHER) IS TEMPORARY AND HE HAS GOTTEN BACK ON TRACK AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE A MAN AFTER GODS HEART. AS TO THE BROTHER TAKING OVER TEMPORARILY, IT SHOWS THAT IN GODS PURPOSE HE PLANS FOR ALL EVENTUALITIES. AND FOR EVERYONES INFORMATION PASTOR ODULELE WAS A DOCTOR BEFORE GOING INTO THE MINISTRY SO IF IT WAS JUST FOR MONEY THEN THEY ARE EASIER WAYS TO MAKE MONEY THAN TAKING ON MINISTRY CHALLENGES.
