How is it that the President of the Federal Republic doesn't want to be interviewed by journalists but doesn't mind sitting down for an entertainer? What exactly is D'banj going to ask him? He will probably kiss-ass throughout the interview (D'banj is one of the many Naija entertainers campaigning for the president). Now a Chude Jideonwo or a Tolu Ogunlesi, or the guys from 'What About Us' would have done a better job.
I don't know what to make of PDP anymore.
D'banj second name is 'all of us'. That's why GEJ granted the interview to 'all of us'. SMH
ReplyDeleteThe photo looks like they're shaking hands on our funds that are changing hands..one more reason not to vote GEJ! Me likey the new ACN campaign though, 'Good Governance not Good 'Luck'!
ReplyDeleteWhen a man begins to feel CNN anchor people cannot interview him alongside his other counterparts and chooses an entertainer, and off all entertainers, D banj,no disrespect, he's fun and up in the club raise the roof and all that but national issues aint exactly fun/raise the roof........then we'll have touts overseeing our power sector, mechanics in health and what have you...I cringe at the thoughts!
It is said that he whom the God's want to kill, he will first turn mad. There is madness in the way the GEJ campaign is being run. Hmmmm, i wonder...
ReplyDeleteOK
ReplyDeleteAnd Goodluck my Ass
ReplyDeleteabeg all of you to shut up...when p.diddy interviewed obama during his campaign..nobody talked...when will smith interviewed obama nobody...now becus d banj is interviewing the president...ur shouting...abeg make una go siddon for dutty...disgusting people
ReplyDelete@naso, did obama refuse a presidential debate? did he refuse to have real journalists ask him questions? Why is our president not interested in the youth-focused Presidential Debate the youths of Nigeria have been asking for? but he has time to sit for D'banj?
ReplyDeleteYou think this coming election is a joke to us? we want change darling, we want a better future for ourselves and for those coming behind us...i doubt PDP can give us that...not with the way they've been going, so u go and sit down for dutty, u are beginning to piss me off...
@ Wild boy - don't disparage D'banj because of what he does fo a living. He might be "fun and up in the club" but I am sure that is NOT all he's about. Nobody gets to where he is without some semblance of intelligence and I am pressure his questions will be heavily vetted. See the ting first before you swear sey the ting bad.
ReplyDelete@Naso I support what you have said 100% They should all go to hell fire and burn 2 ashes..wtschwess..
ReplyDeleteLinda> why are u campaigning against GoodLuck.. They have paid u b?
ReplyDeletelol at they have paid me? who has? do u see me campaigning for anyone on my blog?
ReplyDeletei'm just speaking my mind.
Goodluck again has shown why the nation is quite appalled the insensitivity he has shown not just towards the plight of the common man, but most especially the plight of the people in Plateau state and the Niger Delta where MEND is threatening to cause mayhem. The mood of the nation should determine the strategies politicians adopt to their campaigns....and just when you expect the President to show some maturity just like his opponents have show in their campaigns, he SUDDENLY strikes back with a high level of intransigence that implies that HIM NO KNOW THE KIND OF LIFE WE ARE LIVING!
ReplyDeleteLinda.. don't mind those people that were calling for ur head, Nigerians are the problem of themselves, they will never see anything bad from this present Government bcos they have been blind-folded by being tribalistic and they will never wake up from their slumber. Wot has he done since he took over the position of the Mr Yaradu'a? GEJ talks too much ON Facebook and he doesn't want to pertake in an Openbook debate but he can grant interview with the interviewer Kokomaster. I could see that GEJ doesn't want to take us serious and we will definitely wait to see may be we are at crossroad or shambolic road.
ReplyDeleteDbanj is one of those Entertainers that are campaining for GEJ and wot are we really expecting from Dbanj to be asking Mr President? the issue of Nigeria is beyond the scenario of "i'm Dbanj or Skibanj or Mensah or Kokolet or freakay" or wotever that he did normally call himself.
WHO CARES IF THE NEXT PRESIDENT IS AN HAUSA OR IGBO OR YORUBA, WOT I WANT IS JUST OBAMA MOTTO "CHANGE"
World is watching!
I guess PDP knows that more young people will watch with Dbanj as interviwer.
ReplyDeleteWe need a complete "change" The wind of change is blowing around Africa, and Nigeria will not be left out. If am to vote base on sentiment, I think as an Igboman, I will vote for him (Jonathan), but I keep my sentiment aside as Linda made mentioned that our future is much important to us Nigeria. I'm tired of living in Europe, I wanna come down to my country and contribute to the Nation building, and who should i vote without my sentiment? I see my future with the candidature of BB as they are improved with greater credential to carry us along, especially. Fighting 'CORRUPTION' with whole heartedly. Vote BB for a radical change.
ReplyDeleteSaemoenl.

Italy
two clowns of the same stock.
ReplyDeleteNigeria will get the leaders they deserve.
the mediocrity called Goodluck will ruin what is left of this country.
ReplyDeleteI have long given up.
He will win but i will still vote against him on polling day.
I want to be able to look at my unborn (he will born next month) son in the eyes and answer the question "so daddy what did you do in your power to effect change?".
chichiluv, i saw the thing (while flipping channels) and it was worse than bad.
LOL, Naijas on facebook with their bad mouth.
ReplyDeleteThis is what someone's status read:
// I think the strategists and planners of GEJ need grade school education in campaign strategy and tactics. Would the aspirant Obama give his major debate to Snoop Dogg .. .......sirs, you're effing up big time. Believe me.//
LWTMB!
@ Naso I replied your comment in the other post and I will say that I can understand your Passion, you like Goodluck and that is fine, but it is obvious the majority here love Nigerians. If there has been so many Youth focused groups that have called for a debate, e.g what about us, Naija stand up, Arise, etc and Jonathan had refuse to grant them audience, yet he choose to sit down with D'banj who made his campaign song, and who has been following him to different rally's, and this is the man he chose to sit down with to answer the questions Nigerian youths want?? Then he is a JOKER of a President!!!
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question on Obama, Obama agreed to a debate, without asking for the questions beforehand, he sat down to be interviewed by as many people, alot of entertainers not Just ONE, especially one on his campaign teams, he sat with Journalist from alot of stations, he listened to the people of America, he humbled himself, cus he is serving the people not the other way round.
I used to like GEJ like yourself until I realised he does not listen and surrounded by people advising him not to.
There is a Presidential debate tomorrow, I doubt he will attend, why?? Their Chairman gave some stupid excuse that 'as the President of the country he should be treated with some respect and since the Producers are not willing to change some things to favour him, they wont' But will attend one organised by NTA, which they know will favor them.
Good luck did not go to JOS, in all the Crisis they went on their, but went to Jos to campaign. Just to mention a few.
I love Nigeria, I am passionate about Nigeria, I want to see CHANGE in Nigerian. 12 years of PDP has not done that,Joanthan has been in office for over one year, no much differences except for him shouting the obvious, Increasing minimum wage, in not a Privileged now is it, its a right and its an obvious one so really that's not really a difference but he smart one that benefits his Campaign right now!!
I cannot trust PDP for another 4years, Yes PDP because people may say Jonathan should be Voted for as an individual, but he must still act according to his party's manifesto. Therefore I can not trust the future of my children in a failed government.
So Naso this are my reasons for not voting for PDP or Jonathan, and you can tell us good reasons you are voting for him without cursing people OUT
Nigerians VOTE for change. Our time is now. #whataboutus#
what?....are u guys kidding me....goodluck has a lot of interviews out there with many local and international journalists and media stations....ull are acting like this interview he is having with d banj is his only debate he has had in his life....Goshhhhh....
ReplyDeleteSecondly...i understand why u guys will vex that he would not debate...i share your sentiments on that issue...but this d banj one is shocking me...why una dey vex say d banj dey interview am...abeg go and do ur research and read his other interviews before u open ur mouth and talk smack...ull sound ignorant
Btw...he recently agreed to do a debate...i guess the guy was afraid he will get attacked thats why he was turned it down the first time and asked for the questions...anyway..i like as he as finally agreed...i hope everybody will not try and ridicule him that day...cus apparently a lot of nigerians hate that guy...they expect him to change nigeria in just a few months...and u guys just blame him for all the evil pdp has done...its not fair
@Linda abeg make u no vex for me...i just dey speak ma mind..sorry if it doesnt rub off well wit ya...peace
@ ADEBOLA, i love your comment, very detailed. But really, dis is a blog(ur thots and opinion) and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Its not meant to be an attacking arena. May God help Nigeria
ReplyDelete@ ADEBOLA, i love your comment, very detailed! But really, dis is a blog(ur thots and opinion) and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Its not meant to be an attacking arena. May God help Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteGEJ is letting himself down BIG TIME!!..this is not about Dbang and him..it's about lost opportunities..no real passion or commitment to issues..he really should have made a stand on key issues such as Electricity..yes we agree he cannot make it work in a year but his efforts have been lacklustre...didn't he say he was personally taking power Industry??..
ReplyDeleteHe misfired in Niger Delta..With Boko Haram and worst of all Jos..not even a visit of condolence...no renumerations..GEJ this is the campaign...the real issues mehn!!
If he loses he cannot blame anyone.. some aspirants we couldn't care less about like a year ago now stand a good chance of winning..they have more sound policies and show more passion..GEJ needs to step up and this debate might even turn things around for him..
We cannot just sit by and let this revolution sweeping over the world pass us by..if we scared to protest on the streets we still have a chance of choosing our future leader at the polls
Dbanj this is not the way to go. Prior to the campaigns my heart and mind were with Good luck who I believed represented a breath of fresh air even though it was becoming obvious even then he didnt seem to have proper plans/execution schedules in place.Ive been thoroughly disillusioned by the political machinery that has taken over the handling of the whole political campaigns during this election eve. Its obvious theyre afraid of doing the right thing. Have a decent debate like every other leader has ...no we in Nigeria have to prove our ignomy to the whole world and think we can worm our way out of it . These are the days of BB facebook twitter and social networking like never before. Yes we are hungry but we arent stupid. The likes of Dbanj may take a chunk of the national cake at this opportune time but he'd better watch his back.Dont think youths are fooled . Theres a global awakening going round right now . People cant remain fools forever. We are fed up of being poor wretched losing hope and being fooled perpetually by people who think we'll never wake up! This is a new dawn. Lack of basic amenities unemployment uneducation and treachery from those have forced themselves upon us and we have allowed to rule us can only last for so long. We are sick and tired and want out of this situation. Ever watched crime channel with the battered wife who suddenly snaps? That's where Nigeria is people are snapping and you might not like what you see in the near future. Go to Egypt,Libya, Bahrain, Yemen . Dont say you werent warned!
ReplyDelete@ ade_cool...i cant agree more with u...ur very right in a lot of aspects...Goodluck does not have the expected zeal and passion I expect him to have when he comes to this campaign...the fact that he turned down the debate at first was really shocking...however...u pointed out the power issue...haba now...he has increased the amount of power produced to 4,000 mw...bear in mind that pdp was only able to raise 3,000 mw in 17 years..for him to raise it to 4,000 says a lot..I personally have seen 2 power plants that are being constructed in nigeria by the federal government so of cause we are not where we are meant to be but hopefully we will get there.
ReplyDeleteSecondly...how can you blame him for the Boko Haram and Jos crisis..that is like blaming George Bush for the terrorist attacks in America...he is not sending all these people to kill themselves and cause mayhem...what is a visit to Jos going to do about the matter anyway...it would not stop the crisis...what is required is for him to increase the security there..but then again..security cannot be ensured by any man except God...
I agree that Goodluck can do much better..he is not even my no 1 candidate..if fashola was running for president then to hell with Goodluck...loool...but given everyone on ground...i will go for Goodluck...Buhari mehn...that guy did a lot of evil during his military regime..i dont need to go into all that now but if i vote for him i am voting for the innocent people that have died due to his harsh laws as head of state as well as those he incarcerated unjustly...so yeah...God bless
I used to think that GEJ was a smart president but now i know i was making a mistake.for him to accept to be interviewed by a musician he's paying to campaign for him is a very dumb move to make.Or why on earth is he avoiding a debate?so he wont be asked questions that will benefit everyone?its obvious Dbanj will be given a script and his questions will be based on it.
ReplyDeletethis is just an eye opener and we all need to vote for someone who is ready to listen to the cries of the people and not a figure head man.
Soon he will tell us all to chat with him on facebook since we have been told he brought it to Nigeria.lol
@ Naso so People are Ignorant becaus they are giving their opinion? Well here is my verdict, you are the Ignorant one here, you dont have to agree with what people are saying, but branding people as Ignorant and telling them to shut up makes the Ignorant one. And I have to reciprocate SHUT THE HELL UP!!! UR MAMA SHOULD TAKE THAT COMPUTER FROM YOU, SILLY CHILD!!
ReplyDeleteWhat!! Dbanj is on sang the song he is using for campaign, and also why Dbanj?? I know he is Nigerian but then why him?? A lot of people on facebook and twitter have been calling for a debate and he chose Dbanj.
ReplyDelete@ Naso I have a friend that is Naso and she is from Tanzania, Makes me think are you even Nigeria, as you always seem to be against the motion.
Whether Good luck is a good man or not his the issue, but who can give us good leadership, accountable government, someone we can trust to kick out corruption.
Pdp and all their government officials are so corrupt it is a disgrace they are still free to walk around Nigeria, we need someone who can say enough is enough!! Biko.
Please read. Jonathan smart move, The youths of Nigeria are not fools oh, not everyone is a scape goat!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://kunledurojaiye.wordpress.com/2011/03/17/goodluck-by-dbanj/
SMH!
ReplyDeleteTo think this fellow is a Ph.D holder!
Whom the gods want to kill, they first make mad.
Anyway, April is around the corner!
Well this has just proved my point.GEJ is a joker and should be allowed to go pursue his career in comedy. He is not the man to lead us to the promise land.
ReplyDeleteThank you
abeg make you all leave dbanj alone, the next thing GEJ go create a position for him"SPECIAL ADVISER FOR MUSIC or even MINISTER OF MUSIC" to have piece of the national cake...only in nigeria a musician interview a whole president, but he refuse a debate....WTF
ReplyDeletenothing wrong with dbanj interviewing GeJ it's all part of his campaign strategy just like d others have theirs.it's obvious some bloggers here don't seem to like anything from GeJ whether gd or bad.election is a game of numbers & what matters is his approval rating with d general public which is well over average & wud win him d election come april.truth be told he is still d best of the pack!
ReplyDelete@ naso u r lost.
ReplyDelete@Naso...listen, Nigerians never hated nor liked GEJ from d onset cos a whole lot of people hardly knew him. What he had going for him was that the people perceived him as humble. When Yar'adua, the people wanted d vice-president to take over as the right thing to do....and do know this, that VP could have been anybody and the people will still support him/her cos it was the right thing to do.
ReplyDeleteThen step in GEJ as President, instead of facing the reality/real challenges, he started playing the sentimental/prophetic card (damn he even believed it) that he was the ordained one, and he lost focus. His mind tells him that he is goodluck and that everything he does will be accepted by the people. Thats where he got it all wrong, and that where people who are speaking against him are doing so.
Lets assume i have to vote for him bcos of who he is, and not the party he comes from, i'll like to ask, can anyone tell who GEJ is?
A lecturer who was very active in politics to the extent of being a PDP as early as the beginning of the party? My verdict - already tainted with corruption.
A President who is so dumb that he couldnt realize that a political debate is one of his biggest campaigning tools? My verdicts - Olodo!
A President who has refused to distance himself from the corrupt cabal, sent a rep to Bode's thanksgiving? My verdict - Damn condensending!
I can go on and on and on......everyday he keeps on shooting himself in the foot. Tomorrow watch out for another stupid stunt of his.
GEJ said it through Wikileaks, that he does not have experience...period!
A puppet and his handler! Watch this space!!
ReplyDeletetalking abt change in Nigeria, hw many of u guys have registered with INEC. Change is not just talking its by action.Peace!
ReplyDeleteAbeg, the guy is highly favoured - Debanj
ReplyDelete@myne AGREED
ReplyDeletelistening to GEJ yesterday was impressed, the guy sure has plans for this country, great plans @ that,m not a pdp fan oo,and wth was d'banj doing yesterday should i call that overexcitement or what he almost fell from his chair, nodding his head like 20 times a sec na wa oo
ReplyDelete_____________
ReplyDelete"If footmen tire you, what will horsemen do?"
Even with an obviously scripted interview, GEJ looks clueless still.

A huge gaff in GEJ's campaign, this is.

its funny some idiots are dissin me for calling people ignorant...and those same hypocrites are here insulting goodluck...calling him an olodo and all that...abeg make una wash ur mouth before u tell person say hin mouth dey smell...i feel sorry for u guys...go ahead and vote buhari...i hope he does a good job cus if he messes up...i'll hate to say i told you so
ReplyDeletethoroughly research the guy...read about the things he did in his regime...i said you guys are ignorant cus ull are acting this interview with d'banj is goodluck's first interview in his life..
one idiot said i'm not nigerian cus i'm callin myself naso...smh...it just goes to show the ignorance the air....its sad i swear...nigerians can me so stupid at times...ull are ready to vote in a man that killed people in his time, threw people in jail unjustly, censored the press and did a lot of rubbish just becus he is honest....
May God help my country
i dey laugh
ReplyDeletedbanj dat did not finish school and am sure cannot even answer a basic question in engineering is an interviewer to an aspirant.
why are we so desperate in this country?
this is about our future and some people think they can mess with it.
vote BB FOR A BRIGHTER TOMORROW
MAY GOD DELIVER US OH. OF ALL MUSICIANS, ITS DBANJ. WHY NOT 2FACE OR ASHA? GOSH! I AM SO NOT FEELING DBANJ WAT WIT HIS KOKOLET NONSENSE. MSHEWWW. HE TINKS HE'S GOT SWAGGER AND ENDOWMENT? WELL ITZ ONLY IN HIS DAMN BRAIN. NOW HE ACTUALLY WENT 2 INTERVIEW HIS BENEFACTOR. CAN ADOG BITE HIS MASTER? FOOLS, ALL OF OF DEM
ReplyDeleteLINDA, I HAVE TO GIVE IT TO U. U ARE D ONLY BLOGGER THAT HAS MADE ME CRY. DIS NEWS ACTUALLY OPENED MY FLOOD GATES AND I MUST SAY THAT I WAS SHOCKED. AM AT A COURSE NOW AND PPLE ARE ASKING ME D REASON BEHIND D TEARS. I COULD ONLY POINT TO MY LAPPIE SCREEN. NOW U GONE DONE IT.
ReplyDeletenaso or whatever you call yourself.shut the HELL up and get the fuck off this page abeg.no change in ur life..ass licking dbanj family...shiorrrrr
ReplyDelete@Cvizier what can 2face say other than waiting dey happen" I am not for D'banj, but don't mention 2face.
ReplyDeleteI WANT @ ASK A QUESTION
Every body is talking about fresh air, but you guys has not mention any one aspirant that can bring this fresh air apart from GoodLuck dat, which some of u are against.
@Naso I love your courage..
I don't like PDP and can't vote them in any elective position apart from presidential election.
GoodLuck is the only eligible candidate to vote for, I know that he is not perfect, but he is trying and deserves a chance.
Many of whom are speaking sense and nonsense don't even have a voters card.
It is high time that we Nigerians should start voting for candidate and not Parties..
Apart from Goodluck.. who has a better aspiration to rule Nigeria at this crucial time??? Long live the Federal Republic of Nigerians.. love u all..
na ur papa dey lick d'banj yansh....BASTARD
ReplyDeleteabi o....Peter God bless you...i totally agree with u my broda...lets look past the party and compare the candidates....is it not the same pdp that gave us donald duke, who brought significant change to calabar...is not the same pdp that has given us rotimi amaechi that is doing a very good job in rivers state...once again like Peter said..it is not about the party but the individuals campaigning...and if you guys think Buhari is a better candidate than Goodluck then please show me the significant change he brought to nigeria during his regime..dont tell me about ptf cus that one is a way different ball game from being a president..lets be sensible pls
ReplyDeletehttp://twitter.com/Naijarights
ReplyDelete@naso
ReplyDeletehaba!! I didn't blame him for Jos..Boko Haram and Niger Delta issues..I just said as a Leader you need to take firm stands on this issues that's what strong leaders do..you take a stand and live with the consequences..
@naso and peter ya'll really making sence Gej deserves a chance...as 4 u linda always think b4 pasting stuff on ur blog u seem to have a lound mouth which u believe is speaking ur mind....first patience and now gudluck/dbanj am sure naija as a whole....sumthings r better left unsaid....speaking ur mind is no excuse 4 disrespect.
ReplyDelete500m naira for 6 shows and counting - cant blame him but others have rejected these offers for less or more from the GEJ team for whatever reasons. Each to their own. He has chosen his candidate. My issue is that deep down he knows he is taking Nigeria's money not GEJ's money and has decided he is fine with it. He can make close to a 1bn naira due to this association.
ReplyDelete@ N.d thank u o..my broda...GEJ..the guy deserves a chance..he has only spent a few months in office...out of which he has been campaigning...we cant expect him to turn nigeria around overnight but to me d guy has tried...
ReplyDelete@ Ade cool i get ur point sha...i know he has sent soldiers and increased security in Jos but i guess that clearly isnt enough cus people are still killing themselves there..anyway na step by step my broda..
God bless you'll, God bless Nigeria...Peace out
naso = gej campaign group
ReplyDeletenaso = peter & n.d!
so the question is; how much is he been paid to campaign for a guy that runs from a national debate?
d'banj do not represent the youth in anyway!
the national debate is an avenue to separate the boys from the men!
naso = dunce & an ignoramus!
so he could grant an interview with d'banj, and yet he dissed the presidential debate!! mschwww.... #VoteWisely
ReplyDeleteokay so lets get this straight...u'll are not looking at real issues...tell me how Goodluck has messed up our country during his regime if you want to campaign against him...so he is not fit to be president becus he sat down to talk with d'banj...i dont get nigerians...i can't believe we are still so dense and ignorant...pls the guy has done interviews with many other professional journalists..stop acting like his interview with d'banj is his only interview ever
ReplyDeletesecondly i believe it was a total mess up for him not to show up at the debate...for reasons best known to him he did not show up...but as for me that is not enuff ground to rule him out as president...becus i watched the debate and none of the aspirants impressed me..buhari did not give one single good plan on how to change our nation..wen asked about power he said he will investigate pdp funds..imagine d rubbish..instead of him to look past that...it was only ribadu that impressed me cus his power plan sounded potent..so abeg u can call me ignorant but its my opinion..if u gave me tangible reasons on why goodluck should not be voted i mite have seen reason argument...but ur there talking about how he d'banj interviewed him and he did not show up for the debate....DOSUMU...i dey shame for u..smh
btw i am not peter and n.d...shout out to those guys though...PEACE
@ Linda Ikeji....whether Media person, be it Ben Bruce, Bisi Olatilo, Mo Abudu or event U urself...who interviews doesnt matter...wat matters is the answer?
