Happy Birthday to her. A true icon. I grew up scared of her looks, thinking she looked like a witch. I think it was because of her cat eyes glasses. Then, in my teens i started really appreciating her because of her elevated diction. I also remember she was on "Some mothers do have them." She was also the main attraction in Laolu Ogunniyi's "Winds against my soul." Congrats!!
SHE LOOKS AWESOME!!! May God grant her many many more wonderful years. She and aunty Joke Silva are the epitome of Class, Sophistication, Dignity, Grace and Cool! And I agree with VJ, she should have been the beauty of the day because (a) she is a beautiful woman, it just come through her eyes. (b) she is talented and has made great strides in her life that reflects well on the Motherland (c) it is her birthday and what a gift it would have made to have her honored her as the Beauty of the Day.
Beauty is not only about being young, the beauty of a mature woman who has lived through some experiences is a deeper, far more attractive, enduring beauty than that of the young.
I remember her in "Winds Against My Soul", "The Honourable", "Some Mothers Do Have 'Em". She is one of the top 10 best actresses Nigeria has EVER produced !
I wish I could see her to give her a lovely happy birthday hug. I used to be thrilled by her acting skills back in the 80s. But I was so unhappy when an attack by some stupid armed robbers made her to flee to the U.K. some years back.
Happy birthday to her! I wish her long life and prosperity.
