  2. This has been the order and it is getting worse. You cannot get or renew your passport in Nigeria without going through a racket or immigration agent except you are Obasanjo or related to Buhari.I stand with @Sega.This is the reason I have not collected my passport in 10 yes because I don't bribe and cannot bribe

  5. The Nigerian immigration services stinks, just like the police & customs. But passport offices nationwide are as putrid as Ojota waste dump! Nigerians are the cause! We bribe to get passports as if it is a ticket to heaven, meanwhile ,the passport dey your wardrobe,no visa to any country inside. Not even Ghana! We just like to boast to our friends " my own came out after 3 days, come make I introduce you to......." Meanwhile, you and your friends are enriching one bastard uniformed man paid to do his job!

  6. Here in Malaysia, the Nigeria embassy charges its citizens minimum of 200,000 naira for passport renewal or you are told that the booklet is finished.

  8. I was surprised when I was asked to pay the outrageous amt for Ppt. Even my hubby paid same for renewal. It's so disheartening to see how evil becomes our way of life. Extortion is all I see at immigration offices and they do it with pride. I weep for Nigeria

  9. I have had to cancel my trip because It is taking over a month to renew my international passport, even when I had to pay almost 45k. Nigerian Immigration service is a virus that needs to be checked... from extortion at international airports to harassment of first time travellers, to laziness and arrogance, then bribery etc. No one is willing to attend to you except you part with some cash... this is our reality!

  14. I applied for international passport in January this year and got it around April. Their reason was that there's no enough paper to process.

  16. 30k is small nah, they collected 170k from my hubby at Abuja for their so called VIP and express job and 4months after no passport. They keep telling on story after another.same issue with my brother in Jamaica,he is stranded. Not only immigration, other public offices too, they double, sometimes triple the price and still delay you.we have proof also,in case the guy needs them. Nigeria is doomed.

  19. The Nigeria Immigration service is as corrupt as the Nigeria Police Farce. I was made to pay 35,000 Naira for a passport, they refused to issue a receipt! It is almost impossible to get a passport without bribing an Immigration officer, a friend paid online in March, he only got his passport in June when he had no choice but to bribe an officer. Its a shame.
