Robert R. Farmer, the son of a retired San Jose police Captain, Jack Farmer, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for killing 16 cats he abducted from a residential neighborhood. Prosecutors revealed on 2016 that Farmer abducted the cats from a quiet residential Cambrian Park neighborhood in San Jose and killed them, though only four bodies were found.

He was arrested after cops found him sleeping in a car with the carcass of a female cat, which a necropsy revealed had been sexually abused. But 16 years in prison for killing cats? Thoughts?
