We do not consider Nnamdi Kanu an Igbo leader of thought- Presidency

Special Adviser to the president on political matters, Babafemi Ojudu, says the presidency does not consider leader of the Indeginous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, as a leader of thought in the South East. Speaking to journalists on Sunday, Ojudu said the consultations currently being carried out by acting president Yemi Osinbajo is strictly with identifiable leaders of thought and at the moment, Kanu is not one of such leaders in the South East. He said:
“Well, the thing is that we were looking for leaders of the people, leaders of thought and we do not see him as a leader of thought in the east. May be opportunity will come at one time or the other for him to be engaged. But so far, what we have done is to look at people who have influence in the communities, whether it is religious, whether it is traditional, whether it is political, social or governance. These are the people we brought in for discussion”.

  18. Ojudu that is ur own option but for now he(Nnamdi Kanu) is the leader of Biafra and southeast in general,so u and ur people are wasting the scarce resources to carry out a business that HSA failed.the people u and ur ogar engaged were people who do not have the mandate of the people.so u all have failed woefully.

  19. Very unfortunate that a small boy that knew nothing about civil war could be so vocal in talking war on the side of we the Ibos, Ibos are not interested in any war, we want to be fully integrated into political stream

  20. How can a man who spend many years outside the country decide to break the peace of this nation, if i may ask who is a leader because I don't see him as a leader because a true leader will not call his country a zoo nor try to divid it but rather seek solution to problems, tell me one country that separate and still at peace and I will tell you non do not be emotional blackmail because we are so ignorance of the past.

A child is not small in his own meat.

Well thats divide and rule tactics of Nigerian government, like south south, South east and rest it them.

BUT ONE THING IS CLEAR AND CERTAIN NOW, NEVER AGAIN WILL OUR SO-CALLED 'LEADERS' BE MANUFACTURED IN LAGOS, KADUNA OR ABUJA. MR OJODU DO NOT KNOW OUR LEADERS, WE KNOW THEM AND WHEN THEY TALK, WE LISTEN. IGBO KWENU.

  29. I agree but not Completely , yes mr kanu is not an igbo leader but he Should also be Brought in on discussions about the peaceful Co existance of the igbo with other tribes if you all must remember in the time GJE negoiated annesty all the warlords were called to a round table be you reconize or not so no party feels left out so i Hope the VP reconsider this so that a lasting peace is agreed upon , and Yes am igbo and i have to speak up, we Can stand on our own if we part with Nigeria but at What cost the blood of the innocent ,God forbid no nigerian blood is worth Nnamdi kanu ambition or that of the bloodsuckers in the North, lets all embrace peace if its the will of God that the ndi igbo will go their way later in life God will ley that foundation for it to happen with unneccessary blood shed and violents we have pass that stage were everything is fighting and war we are better civilize and we the igbos still have options to explore for our childrens sake let peace rain, the same goes for the North they Should embrace peace.

  32. This statement shows that the government can't reason and figure out things. If you're still waiting for "maybe a time", that time for you is now. What have you people done with your security reports on him. Does the report not include his acceptability by the people or not? Well, the earlier you people begin to engage him the better, just stop living in denial
