See body of former Bayelsa PDP Acting Chairman stabbed to death (graphic)

Former Acting Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Mr. Christopher Pamo Hobobo, was assassinated in the early hours of Wednesday, May 17th.

Hobobo, a native of Agbere town in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state, was reportedly stabbed to death by assassins in his residence on PDP Road, Yenagoa, the state capital.

Spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, Mr Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the incident  said Hobobo was found dead in his house at about 7 a.m.

"Preliminary investigation revealed that he was stabbed on the chest with a sharp object. His corpse has been deposited at FMC Yenagoa for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing," Butswat said

Eyewitnesses report that his gate was forced open by the assailants who met him in the sitting room where they allegedly stabbed him several times in the chest.
