Desmond Elliot visits celestial Prophet for prayers

Nollywood actor turned politician, Hon. Desmond Elliot, who is representing Surulere 1 Constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly was recently pictured at the Celestial Church of Christ Ayilara Parish, Surulere area of Lagos where he was being prayed for by Sup. Evang. Prophet Samuel O. Oshodi. Another photo after the cut...

  1. And you people think Nigerian problem is because we have not been electing young people into political office?. Look at this one. Nigeria will become great the day we dedicate 0.5% of our time to religion and 99.5% of our time to God. At the moment it is the other way round. I bet you, when we start worshipping God and not religion, God will obviously frown at us if we spend all our time praying rather than finding practical ways of making the world he created a better place.

    3. Anon 7:34 shut up your mouth. Anon 6:39 is making sense. Religion is a MAJOR problem in this country. I completely agree with him. After praying we should take practical steps to fix our country cos God will not descend from heaven to do it for us.

    4. What he has said is very deep and profound, you're too shallow and your brain can't handle such depth..

    6. I am that anon 06:39. I am glad that a number of people saw sense in what I said. Some will obviously disagree while some will attack the messenger but not the message.

I stand by what I said. There is no denying the fact that there are more religious people in Nigeria than there are Godly people. We have allowed religion to drive God rather than allowing God to drive religion. The sorry state of everything about Nigeria is the resultant effect.

For those of us that are still Godly, we will not fold our hands and allow religious people to destroy God. Watch out soon for my new book "Alternative Religion ".

    7. Good point, but you still don't why he was there? It could be what you think or based on invitation or felt like worshipping with them. Don't be too quick to judge.

  6. He apparently is not member of the CCC, I am sure he was invited for one of their programs as the church is in his consistuency. And of course this people will want to bless him in their own way, so he should have rejected it out rightly? Who told u he ll use the oil given to him? But if it were Adeboye that gave him oil it will be alright abi? Pls let's not be quick to judge.

  15. Why nah Desmond ? When you started out acting many many years ago, late Pastir Bimbo Odukoya prayed for you in church. Now you are going to cele churches for prayers because you are now a politician? Are you going to be bathing with the soap you are given and using the cream/ oil to rub your body?
