Photos: Nigerian soldier, Corporal Anthony Okwori killed in action by Boko Haram in Magumeri, Borno

Corporal Anthony Okwori, was killed in action on March 15, by Boko Haram terrorists in Magumeri, Borno State. The Nigerian Army on Friday said it lost five of its officers, while three are still missing from the attack. The militants ambushed the soldiers on their way from a shooting range competition in Munguno.

Troops successfully repelled the attack, chased the fleeing terrorists up to Doho Mina Maideni, Donarim, Salari, and Lawari villages and neutralised them.

Unfortunately, one officer and four soldiers were killed. Corporal Okwori grew up in the 82nd Division Barracks in Enugu. May his soul rest in peace.

    1. @ Paul, Kindly pray 4 d fallen man & by all means move on. Face what u do 4 a living, I believe u will be good at that. Trust me brother, It's a different ball game out here. Furthermore, I believe someone who can write d piece u posted above can as well process d meaning of d word ambush. As for going to d range during war; u might first want to decipher d difference between war & battle. In d heat of a battle, d utmost focus is on destroying & defeating d enemy; hence every thought & action are geared towards this alone; it's all about d moment. War can't stop troops from having meals, good haircut, dancing, playing soccer & it definitely won't stop activities meant to improve ur weapon handling which inherently is highly required in each of d battles & winning d war generally. Regards
