Photo: Soldiers allegedly beat man to death in Ogun

According to this twitter user, Kenny Abel Adesanya, men of the 174 battalion in Ogun state, beat the man pictured above, to death in the Ogijo area of the state yesterday March 24th. According to reports, the deceased was owing his landlady two months house rent. The landlady invited the soldiers to intervene and they ended up beating him so badly he was admitted to hospital.

He was on admission for some days but died yesterday. His Family members in anger, carried his corpse and dumped it in front of the Landlady's house. The said Landlady has since been arrested.

  18. I am not surprised at this continued brutality by the Zombies. Previous reported cases only fetched just o e month punishment to the culprits. I believe that stiffer penalty should given to any military officer who in any way assault or brutalize civilians. Because they are in uniform and possibly with guns and they also have superior combatant trainings, so they have edge to maim and kill their victims, so they should be face criminal court and sentenced to minimum of 5 years imprisonment. That will serve as deterrent to other animals in the khaki uniforms. Nonsense!!!

  19. This is animalistic! Assaulting civilians by any military officer for any reasons whatsoever should be criminalized. This is one of the areas our lawmakers should rather focus on because it is a fundamental human right abuse. Minimum of 5 years imprisonment is recommended for any culprit of this crime. Nonsense!!!

  20. I feel there should be law guiding this pple, it seems they practice all their training on civilians.
