Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described Comptroller General
of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hameed Ali, as an arrogant, stubborn and
ugly little monkey for refusing to wear the customs Uniform to the
senate hearing last week Thursday.
According to FFK, the senate should
insist that he appears before them stark naked. Hameed Ali is to reappear
before the senate on Wednesday March 22nd.
Haba, in fact he shamed the North completely, If you feel to big to obey why not do the honorable thing, simply resign? Anyway Observers are watching with keen interest!!

That he shd appear in uniforms was not even included in his letter of invitation by d Senate! Moreover,d issue he was being summoned for had already been resolved by d C.G. He was appointed politically. It might even be wrong of him or kind of illegal to wear d Customs uniform cuz "he's not a trained custom officer by law", just like it's wrong to wear a soldier's uniform when you are not a soldier & have never been to war!!! ReplyDeleteHameed Ali was appointed in August 2015. He has been operating officially without uniform since then and defended Customs Budget in the National Assembly at least for 2016 without uniform. What's this nonsense about uniform, leaving out the crux of the motion passed.

ReplyDeleteWhy should he wear uniform when he is not a career customs officer. He is a retired military man brought in on a special assignment to sanitise the organisation. FFK were you not minister of aviation when the tarmac of the Abuja airport expired and deteriorated to the extent that it now has to be closed for six months. If you did your duty back then this would've been avoided. But you rather abuse and insult other people when you yourself are full of flaws.

ReplyDeleteI was careful for a long time not to .ake any frivolous comment whatsoever, having done my investigation, I came to a conclusion that he can decide to wear anything he likes as long as he appears in the senate as summoned ... And its high time the senate grew up and deal with other matter rather than throwing tantrums to the presidency and its appointees . moreso, if they never asked him to appear in his uniform when he was screened why now?
