Photos from my unforgettable trip to Doregos Private Academy

So I continued my 'Selfmade Secondary School Tour for Girls' yesterday and I must say, my trip to Doregos Private Academy in Ipaja was very memorable. The students were amazing, the girls very intelligent, warm and ambitious. The boys weren't happy that they were excluded from the meeting but joined us when taking photos...lol

This tour has been life changing and I can't wait to visit more schools. I've done five now and have about 10 more to go before taking a break. Meanwhile, there's a Selfmade Conference happening in Lagos on April 22nd...will tell you more about it later. See more photos from this trip after the cut..

With the school owner, Mrs Clementina Doregos

  25. Firstly Linda, in whatever context there is nothing like being selfmade, u make it in life by God and people helping u.Self made sounds is ambiguous and misleading for young girls.
Secondly, good you are encouraging them but please don't invite them to your blog to come learn gay, lesbianism stuff you promote e.t.c, also the nude, sexual figures you post every Sunday morning.

    1. Private schools children are human beings who needs empowerment cos their parents are rich not them. Some private school parents even struggle to keep their children in private schools

  31. You are doing a great job. But have you thought of the public schools? They need this more and have less people to look up to and that is talking from my experience in this area.

  32. You are doing a good job, but have you considered extending this to public schools? They need the support and unfortunately have less people to look up to.

  35. How come it is only rich private schools that your campaign favours. Is it that govt schools are not part of your campaign or they don't have a bright future like the rich private schools?

    ReplyDelete
  36. This is just bullshit. Than for you to visit public schools and provide them with school material you are here in private school where Govornors children attand schooöls to teach them empowerment. Sorry for your sorry ass. Meanwhile dont you have a village where you can go and do your empowerment tour? You surrounded yourself with fools giving you wrong advice. This is the main reasons Igbo people won't learn. Hausa, Yoruba will make sure they go home and create impact, you are in another mans land creating wasted impact. When race go set you go leave your mansion and run back to east empty handed.
A fool at 40 is a fool forever.

    1. That's just very low. Discriminating based on class ranks right. Who is to say that only public school children have the right to be empowered? We all need empowerment no matter social rank. How many celebs even take empowerment tours? I think you should be appreciating the fact that she even decided to start a secondary school tour.

  38. I honestly don't get the "lol" whenever you write about boys not being allowed to the conference. Who you let into your conferences is your choice, but the fact that you keep making a point of mentioning it frequently reeks of an immature and unhealthy 'us vs them' mentality.

    1. Thank you. Anytime i see this lol it makes me uncomfortable like she ridicules the boys. Good job linda. But i want to make a few points.
If it is only a tour for girls the idea of seperating the boys from the girls and only empower girls it is sort of discriminating. Yes i am a feminist but this reminds me of chimamanda's words: we raise girls to aspire for marriage but we dont raise boys for that.
My point is ; empower both male and female especially now that they are young. We have too many chauvanistic men that are unaware. If we teach both male and female that they are equal, they both can achieve anything they aspire to be. And believe in hard work. E.g Our mothers only trained the girl child for marriage but the men were left out, now they are unaware of how to be a good husband because they were never raised or trained. because if this girls are empowered they would still mix up with the unempowered boys, marry them, and at the end it makes the woman even more equal than the make which creates a problem
so please create a kind of balance. Empower both young boys and girls.

  50. Doregos is not for the rich but for an average parent that want a standard education, just like the old grammar school. It is a Catholic based school but for everyone. I run a pure water company,i hv no personal car, but my only child deserves a standard School. Thanks Linda. Selfmade is by God, we need no preachers here.

  51. I care less for all the abusive comments from witches & wizards that want to see the downfall of this lady--who is on a mission of catch-them-young.

Lindarling, you name will surely be a global Brand; history will never forget your footprints on this path. Please stay focus, you hear? Continue to embarrass your enemies with succession of achievements... Don't let their envious comments distract this your golden thought. Heaven will care for anyone who cares for humanity.

    Remain Blessed!!!

  53. Don't beg Linda to invest in you when you have the opportunity to do so and excel by yourself just by being at the right place with the right information which is KEY. Linda can not help everyone and she is just human! For your information, Linda Ikeji does not help lazy people because she was never lazy and never depended on people. With as little as 26,000 to 50,000, you too can become an entrepreneur and if you are focus and diligent, in a couple of months, you too will start empowering others. I am a living proof. 55. Pay a visit to a public school and tell them you to donate 10
chairs n tables. You will be
Shocked that you need to see commissioner of education in that state. Like what other guy earlier, they investigate you to be sure that you so not belong to the opposing political party. The fact is that some people are ignorant of how public schools work
