'Go and do your worst. Am I the person that closed your school?' - Oyo State Governor, Ajimobi taunts protesting LAUTECH students
Students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), located
in Oyo state, have been protesting the closure of their institution in
the last eight months. A video has emerged showing Governor Abiola
Ajimobi rudely addressing the student protesters, because they were
reluctant to listen to any further excuse. Watch after the cut...
Ajimobi is the worst governor in Nigeria. He is terrorising people that voted for him. He talks rudely to people no matter their age. He should go and learn how to talk to pple. He is not mannered at all. You sacked pple anyhow on flimsy excuses instead of retiring them and pay them off. O ti fori gbepe arugbo, o wa nsise

It's beyond sad, that we have fallen to this level. Yes, the students were unruly (what do you expect when they've been away from school for 8 months). Nevertheless, it takes a true leader (more so, an elected one) to wisely solve problems like this). I'm truly ashamed...

Very pathetic on the part of the governor. The students could have been rude but wisdom demands that the governor as an elder statements handle the situation intelligently. Imagine all the insults that Obama/GEJ got while in office without responding in this manner. Kudos to Prof Wande Abimbola former VC OAU, who was able to diffuse student unrest of greater magnitude. This is what happens when leaders don't need the electorate anymore. Would Ajimobi have reacted like this before his 2nd term election. The fact that schools were closed in time past, does not give the governor the audacity to repeat the same. As the governor have requested, the students can respond by voting wisely next election. Did anybody realize that the governors medium of communication is not appropriate. These are students who are taught in English. It would have been better for the governor to address the students in English, considering the some students might not understand his Yoruba. The governor also referred to constituted authority - meaning after your votes, I am in charge and you don't matter anymore. There is God oooooo.

This is really sad. And to think this is the same issue happening with government workers in oyo despite the fact that Buhari has disbursed money to 36 States for payment of state workers. This are the kind of leaders who have the mindset that they are doing the people a favour. It's written all over him displaying such arrogance, pride, rudeness and above all stupidity. Not even a trace of empathy in the man yet his daughter schools abroad and spends lavishly. How can you tell people to do their worse? If this sparks outrage of students in the state now he'll act like he's unaware of the consequences of his foolishness. Personally I think he's a thug. The annoying thing is Buhari would act like he's not aware of this despite the fact that he reads newspapers daily. I really don't believe in this administration at all.
All hail mr "constituted authority"!! Idiot that fails to grasp the fact that 8 month's closure of a university in his area of authority amounts to failure. Go and do your worst indeed. But then, what do you expect from these touts & thugs who have manipulated their ways into positions of power in nigeria? The nicompoop was even attempting to have a student arrested. So stupid it never for a second occurred to him that singular act could have had dire consequences.

ReplyDeleteAnty yetty, e stupid gan o! Someone should move for the impeachment of the silly governor .
DeleteThis is really sad.
ReplyDeleteAll hail mr "constituted authority"!!
ReplyDeleteAnd this arrogant, rude and incompetent man is already campaigning to go to the Senate in 2019.
ReplyDeleteWhich human right organization will fight for them?
ReplyDeleteGovUNOR asking the students'What cause are you doing". Educated Uneducated politician.
