Beautiful Dayo Adeleke, 33, was stabbed to death by her Cameroonian cook at her home in Parkview estate Lagos. According to a former member of the Presidential Advisory Committee On National Conference, Tony Ipriye Uranta, who shared the sad story online, the sad incident happened on Tuesday night December 20th. The deceased was set to get married next year. So sad! RIP, Dayo!

********************otu parkiew nkea *******house hlelps nor dia aga eghere unu akwa?????? Ogini????????? Kai..... May she rip
DeleteIf she refused to increase your salary and she sent you to buy food from an expensive restaurant and you dont like it, simply resign. That's what the cook should have done. Start looking for a better paid job and simply resign when you get one instead of taking somebody's life that you did not create. They should even check if the Cameroonian have a valid resident permit to live and work in Nigeria
DeleteIf you dont like how much your madam is paying you, leave the job. It is her money and her sweat and you cannot dictate to her how to spend her money or when to increase your salary. A job involves offer and acceptance. She offered to pay you a particular amount of money and you accepted. If you dont like it, you shouldnt have accepted. You cant force her to increase what you have accepted. She has to use her discretion. This is what most of these domestic staff dont understand. They feel its their right to get an increase for doing nothing extral just because they feel you are rich and equal to the task. The job is all about "offer" and acceptance. Take it or leave it. Period!
DeleteRest in peace
ReplyDeleteMay her rest be peaceful.
DeleteGuys we must be mindful of how we live in these times especially amongst the have-nots. She couldn't increase his pay yet sent him for food from Astoria. That's too much money on food for someone that "claims" not to have(speaking from the perspective of the killer). Doesn't justify his evil deed but please let's be mindful of how we live around these people. There's too much hunger in the land and evil is growing simultaneously with it. What is normal to you is wasteful and arrogant display of wealth to them which they can also interpret as wickedness if you are not granting their "small" request.
Rent a ghost u are very very on point with that statement people need to be mindful and careful with how they live around those that don't hv..too much bitterness in the heart of man...God said to Cain if you did wahat was right will I not receive (bless)you. The rich are not just rich for nothing.
DeleteThis is very true. Even when you are generous and kind to them they can still be envious of you and all that surround you. Thanks for this.
DeleteThanks for this. We really need to be careful. Even when you are generous and kind to them they can still be envious of you and all that surround you. May God continue to help us. Rest in peace Dayo
DeleteOmg!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy such evil?
Most likely the food he was sent to buy from Astoria costs more the salary increase the cook asked for.
ReplyDeleteSo???
DeleteQuite disheartening... Tufikwa!!! Hope the beast Wldnt go unpunished!
ReplyDeleteOMG.. .RIP beautiful dayo
ReplyDeleteSo sad! Rest in peace
ReplyDeleteShiiit!

ReplyDeleteShe should have increase his salary nah
You're dumb for that statement
DeleteDo you know what she does with her money? Do you know if she is the bread winner in her family and she is the one taking care of all her younger ones and parents? Do you know if she is saving up money for her wedding plus paying school fees for her younger ones? You for go her bank account go collect the money pay the cook na since you know better. Stmcheew
DeleteRest in peace to her soul, what a wicked world.

ReplyDeleteShe had a spiritual husband she wasn't praying enough.
ReplyDeleteYou're actually fully an idiot. Let's hope your sisters and mother are "praying enough". Stupid fool!
DeleteOne just has to be really careful about people we employ. May her soul Rest in Peace
ReplyDeleteRip ,but how can a young woman like this need a cook?just asking
ReplyDeleteShe might be working hard and closing late everyday and by the time she gets home, she is too tired to cook. Then, maybe she may have one or two weddings to attend over the weekend. Most bankers are like that. Most of them that dont have househelps store cooked food in their freezer for the week.
DeleteJESUS, WHAT KIND OF WICKEDNESS IS THIS
ReplyDeleteAUNTY LINDA 👩
PLEASE KINDLY FOLLOW ME ON LIS @OKECHUKWU NNODUECHI
so sad. I heard the news in sura shopping complex where her mother owns a shop. it's so sad that this is coming on the heel of her mother losing election. RIP dayo
ReplyDeleteThis is reAlly sad! Sweet Ajebutter Dayo. I remember Queen's college days. My heart bleeds
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to say this but it's better ladies/women deal with females than males as staff, when you are married and ur husband LIVES with you then you can cautiously have a male staff seriously
ReplyDeleteThis is disheartening. Why are human being this wicked. RIP
ReplyDeleteThat guy deserves jungle justice. His death should be filmed.
ReplyDeleteEnter your comment... Ime mma imeta odachi. When u do good, u get trouble.
ReplyDeleteSo sad! What did she do to the criminal cook? He must not go scotfree
ReplyDeleteGood night darling.
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace. But dis should serve as a lesson to others. Dont just accomodate anyone into your house bcos u dont know where they are from and what they have done where dey were. I have had my share of dem. Dey even destroyed my marriage. So ladies, learn to do most things urself. Dont get too comfortable employing househelps.
ReplyDeleteThere's more to d story, there's no justification for her killing though.
ReplyDeleteVery sad
ReplyDeleteEva Da Diva...
OMG The heart of Man tho.
ReplyDeletePeople should be very careful of judging what they do not know. I wonder why when such a senseless act like this happens, people try to justify the perpetrator.
ReplyDelete'Judge' Rent a ghost and others who will come and chat rubbish like you. Dayo did nothing to this guy. If she says she doesn't have money just yet, is it a crime? If she says, she can't increase his fees just yet, is it a crime? Murder should never be excused. I hope and pray such never happens to anyone you know.
Odibe Blessing: There is nothing going on between them, just accept that bad people exist and can carry out their evil acts without anything going on with their victims.
He has been arrested and justice will be served even if it won't bring her back.
Dayo you're the sweetest soul ever, rest in perfect peace!
Plus, she didn't live alone. She lived in her father's house with her mother. Her father is late. And the idiot was a help to the whole family, not just her.Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThis lady does not live alone please. This is her family house she lives with her mum since the dad died last year, all her other siblings are married. So just two of them live there with some other relatves.
ReplyDeleteHe is their family househelp who has been with them for years.
She was the only one with him at home when it happened.
I wish the police will release this guy to me so I can exert justice for this poor soul. I'll use a machete to remove both arms and legs, then watch him ''dance" as per his death throes.
ReplyDeleteIf you no longer like the terms of your employment, just walk. I am a civil servant...meaning I don't receive as much renumeration as my mates in banks or the oil industry. But I haven't killed my Minister or Permanent Secretary yet. Why should I? But I grumble, yes. But I am not forced to stay on the job.
Rip dayo. Your killer shall not go unpunished!!!
ReplyDeleteForeigners..... there'll come to our country (Nigeria) & kill their employees,, the other one was from Benin Republic.... May her soul rest in peace
ReplyDeletenawa
ReplyDelete-D great anonymous now as Vivian Reginalds
I cannot understand how callous, unfeeling and bitter you all are. A young promising woman in her prime just lost her life in tragic circumstances and all you can do is pass bitter judgmental comments. Is this what the economy has turned us into? Are you ever thinking about the pain her family is going through. You all sit there on a moral high horse spewing rubbish over what you know nothing about, forgetting it could happen to anyone. If you can't sympathise with her loved ones then shut your judgmental gobs!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere are too many stupid bitter Nigerians what do u expect
DeleteThis guy is an animal. He wasn't forced to stay on the job. I pray his death be much more painful.
ReplyDeleteThis warnings have been passed on and on to many Nigerians right to be mindful of whom they bring to their hause.A young Igbo man from a well to do family was killed by young man he employs as his security guide, some few years age at Owerri in Imo state capital. People should be mindful the person you brought into your homes. You don't know if they are people that have a problems of Anger of possessed by one evil spirit or the other. At list before bringing someone to your home be sure of whom he is and where he is coming from, not tribe or race. But how he or she behaves, it doesn't matter if you meet the person on the church or on a religious ground. Just think how a young lady with a brighter future like this, was killed and cut of her life. What a painful tragedy.
ReplyDeleteA single lady of 33 years having a cook? Not even calling her sister or any close relative to assist her do her chores bcos of tight schedule. Hmmm! There is more to it.
ReplyDelete@emmy please and please, dayo lived with her in in the family house with other relatives. The murderer was a worker in the house and served the whole family.... Now it's either u get your facts right or sell shut the bloody hell up.go and ask any one about dayo adeleke.. That lady was sweet, nice generous, funny and..... Don't be a devil okay. May u be judged the way u falsely judged dayo amen
DeleteI don't see any reason why a young lady like hers having a cook. She's about to get married to a man and she's having a male cook living with her already. I believe there's more to this. Sometimes the housemaids are paid nothing, but penny in naija and I see it as a modern day slavery. He shouldn't have killed the poor lady. He should have quit his job and move on. But God knows best. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lesson for all the lazy women out there that can't cook for themselves, but hiring someone with no background checks.
