    1. Shea crazy.her lyrics are stupid.its not a matter of gender.listen to Niyola ,tiwa and maybe sheyi .you can understand and know what the song is saying. You just keep saying mentioning some stupid sounds and dancing to it. Thank God you danced to it. Cos anytime ur song comes up,thats the time I take a rest.

    1. Annon 13:37, you are wrong. The fans who buy the music have the full right to complain if it lacks content. Imaging you buying a tin of Milo only to find garri inside, won't you complain? Not everything is about money abeg. Poverty mentality is disturbing you. And who told those complaining don't have a means of living?

      Delete
    2. Then don't buy milo, buy cowbell or ovaltine

    3. *gorreti bae, that exactly what the fans will do. Leave her and listen to some other reasonable artiste. Her fans and people who listen to her music put her where she is..that's what the dumb head doesn't understand.
Just watched the video and i'm really embarrassed for her. It's cos we celebrate mediocrity so much that these air head artistes have thrown creativity outside the window.

  9. Anyway she should take it as an advise and not to feel bad about it.coz she can't buy her own music na.its her fans.

  14. Truth be told. This girl has really wack lyrics. Try and listen to the 'I want you ' track. Gibberish. And she's the best African female. I've never really been impressed.

  15. She's got no lyrics joor, just beats.

  16. This is the problem with our Nigeria so called musicians, you criticize them and instead of then to better and improve on their art, they quickly respond that they have more money than you as if they brought the money alongside while they started their craft. I buy your CDs, buy your tickets to attend your shows with my money, made you popular enough to get endorsement deals and you'll just quickly turn back but tell me you have me you have more money than me? The money you never would have made if I didn't recognise your art. So lame and and pathetic
P.S Yemi Slade music is empty and terrible, I thought I was the only one seeing it before, thank God others are seeing it now. She should just be grateful for Gods grace on her life to make her successful but if she thinks it her dry empty music, she's just deceiving herself!

    1. Thank you. I was so disappointed with her answer. I actually don't really listen to her songs now. I picked tumbum up and dropped it halfway.

What her air brain doesn't realise is that she just admitted to having wack lyrics. Because you think "Americans" do it, doesn't mean you should do it too..little miss copycat.

Nigerian artistes should go and learn creativity and humility from kpop stars. When criticised, they apologise and promise to do better...not like you rude things that think you are richer than everybody. Mstchewww.

  17. Yemi makes pop songs for just for you to dance like techno, timaya d'banj, bcos it sells bcos most ppl dont actually listen to the lyrics for example PSY in gamgam style, its just about the beat and the dance, I believe if you know you're not a good lyricist get a good beat and follow the beat that's all. For example I am a hiphop head and I noticed artists like mode nine with all his lyrics and yung six with all his punch lines have not become A-list artists yet, but wack ass rappers like lil kesh (i don't even know if he raps but he says he is and think he does), ice prince (so empty lyrics ppl only listen to the beat and good hooks), Lynxx (i don't even believe ppl would listen to his sh*t not to talk of even buying it).
But ppl like ill bliss keep their lyrics as simple as possible in most of their songs thats why ppl can even buy and listen to it.
    and thats music

    1. Lol..wrong example. psy's gangnam style has good lyrics with an incredible beat. Because we don't understand the language doesn't mean it doesn't have good lyrics. look for the translation and read it. The lyrics are meaning too.

    1. Yemi Alade is one of the few artists who sings live during concerts n other events. Hence the reason for the Grammy as developed countries appreciate artists who sing like Asa.. most Nigerian artists do voice overs over their cds during concerts yet we scream about how lit their performance once.. we need to take our appreciation of music one notch further..

  28. YEMI ALADE.. PLS BE HUMBLE AND LISTEN. POSTIVE ATTITUDE IS TAKIMG THIS COMMEMTS AS CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. AFTER JONNY MY BOYS AND GIRLS AT SOUND CITY AND SOME OTHER MEDIA HOUSES BELIEVE YOU HAVE ALLOWED TIWA SAVAGE, NINIOLA, SEYI SHAY DO BETTER THAN YOU.
    NO.1TIWA SAVAGE
    NO.2 SEYI SHAY
NO.3 NINIOLA IS DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT PLUS BANGING BODY

  30. Unfortunately, I believe ppl have come for the wrong artist, Yemi Alake is one of the few artists that sings LIVE during contests and awards no auto tune or voice overs like most naija artists yet we are coming for her. Thats the reason she is getting the Grammys cos the Developed countries appreciate music. Anybody can make a rAnt and cover it with auto tune n all sorts of embellishments, but yet never be able to sing the song live, ever!
