The horrific incident happened last Saturday morning at Mile 2 Junction, Lagos. LIB earlier reported that the young woman's legs were crushed when a container fell on her as she was about to board a motorcycle. People came to her rescue but couldn't lift the container as it had heavy load inside. They reportedly cut off both legs and rushed her to the hospital. Read the initial story
here. We initially heard she died on her way to the hospital but a doctor at LUTH told LIB that the lady is not dead but in ICU at LUTH. This we can't confirm. See photos from the horrific accident after the cut...

She really fought for her life and was very strong.She was even talking on arrival at the accident and emergency. LUTH consultants worked very hard to save her life but she developed alot of complications during surgery...including two heart attacks and a swollen bowel. The pain from cutting her legs without anaesthesia and blood loss then to the surgery she underwent took a great toll on her body. May her soul rest in peace. Amen

ReplyDeleteNigeria has horrible road , with unregulated traffic so we need to stop moving these container around to avoid senseless accidents like this . Containers ought to be loaded and off loaded in the port to avoid all these accidents we have been having and this is not the first and might not be the last if we don't do something about it .I pray the the poor lady makes it.

ReplyDeletefirst of all, to God be all the glory as we all take a minute of our time to pray for the poor lady whose experience is real yet only imagined by others, to be a reversible scene 1 act 1 in a horror movie. for her there is no cut to the scene, no rewind! she is stuck with that problem for the rest of her life.......for one who woke up singing, and pulling her black skirt over her lovely legs and probably postponing her pedicure session inorder to catch up with time for work, being trapped, mangled and RUINED! is traumatizing enough!! oh Great Almighty God it is at times like this that i realize that you are truly a God of mystery,whos thoughts surpasses all human comprehension!but for what it takes, Good Lord work your wonders in the life of this lady, Lord let your miraculous presence be manifested through her, that all that witnessed her misfortune might say that you and you alone are God, turn her misfortune into mega fortunes in Jesus Mighty Everlasting Name Amen.
