Photo of an excellent military officer killed during an attack by Boko Haram members yesterday

One of the officers killed during an attack by Boko Haram members on the 119 Battalion Nigerian Army location at Mallam Fatori, northern Borno State yesterday, was Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali, pictured right. He was the Commanding Officer of 272 Task Force Tank Battalion.

On September 9th 2015, the deceased military officer because of his exceptional bravery and gallantry, was given an accelerated promotion from the rank of Major to Lieutenant Colonel and was decorated by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General TY Buratai at Gamboru Ngala during an operational visit. May his soul rest in peace Amen.
