Actor Sarki Ali to Talk Kanywood & Ending Pneumonia on Twitter #EveryBreathCounts

Nigeria has the second highest pneumonia-related child deaths. The primary burden is in the north. According to the statistics, nearly 600,000 children under 5 die annually in Nigeria due to pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria. While Nigeria has made some progress with diarrhea and malaria over the past decade, not much has been made in regards to pneumonia.

If Nigeria wants to reach the globally accepted levels of child mortality, awareness must be raised of the burden and prevalence of pneumonia. Actor and philanthropist Sarki Ali will be talking to @speakupafrica with hashtag #EveryBreathCounts about ending pneumonia and Kanywood by 11am on the 11th of November 2016 to support the cause.
