Senator Shehu Sani has advised President Buhari to probe past administrations of former leaders such Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Shehu Shagari and also his own administration when he was a military leader. Sani said this during an interview with newsmen in Abuja on Friday last week.
“If the government says the money recovered under Goodluck Jonathan is not enough to service the economy, then we should move to Yar’Adua and Obasanjo administrations too; move to Abdulsalami, Abacha, Babangida and Buhari himself as a military ruler then and to Shehu Shagari of the Second Republic. We must go after the old thieves irrespective of the political parties they belong to now, as the government is going after the most recent ones”he said

This will surely set off a ripple effect. If this administration sincerely want to fight corruption and not witch-hunting, then Buhari should yield Sen Shehu Sani's advice. That is the right thing to do, because from what we have seen so far, it seems like GEJ was the first President of this country.

I add that they should go further down to October 1960 and probe all the successive govt till May 2015 and recover all the money looted. ReplyDeletePlease dont support them in the sale of national assets because i see a situation where those cabals who milked this country dry will be the ones to buy those assets with the money they robbed the poor and gullible Nigerians. They are the reason Nigeria has no electriciy, good roads, good medical care, clean drinkable water, etc. They are the reason Nigerians cant see food to eat. People are dying on the street because of hunger. Citizens of this country deserves beter.
If the present administration can be brave enough to do what you asked them of Nigeria will definitely come out of recession. Going for soft targets is not the way to go. One again, thank you!

Nigeria will be out of recession in a twinkle of an eye if PMB and his goons will sincerely recover all stolen monies, and I MEAN ALL, as in starting from the local government areas, legislators, governors, ministries, up to all past heads of state.
When this is achieved, Nigeria will be among the richest countries in the world. Then we can say of a truth, "change has come."
Until then, the curse that is upon this administration due to the vengeful and wicked means with which it came into power: supporting the killings of innocent people in the north just to score political points, remains.

ReplyDeleteSecondly, the 2016 national budget is 6 trillion naira, 4 trillion has been supposedly recovered as stolen funds add that to an estimated revenue of over 3 trillion. That is 7 trillion naira, even more than we need to finance the budget. Why then are we borrowing??? Why does the naira keep plunging??? Why should we be in a recession???
Buhari should extend his probe to his own looting of 2.8 billion of Nigeria's petrodollars found in his UK Midland bank account in the 1980's. Everybody is interested in Buhari's intended sale of national assets (assuming he can even find buyers). Nobody is interested in the Dullardeen's use of Nigeria's independence non-celebration during an unprecedented period of recession and suffering compounded by his ineptitude to launch 2 money-scamming books as a whitewash of his outdated dictatorship. Everybody should be interested in 3 glaring unanswered questions. 1) why is Buhari bringing doomsday prophet Ambassador John Campbell to promote his whitewash book, is Campbell not the same spook that in 2011 supposedly independently forecast the failure of Nigeria as a broken nation by 2015 at the same time that Buhari vowed to make Nigeria ungovernable and coinciding with the rise of Boko Haram? 2) Is the book author John Paden who lived in Nigeria for decades not a lecturer at the same George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia that curiously and "coincidentally" invited Aisha Cassandra Halliburton Haliru Muhammadu Buhari on that strangely spurious "privately funded" visit to Washington DC on a diplomatic passport to disprove Fayose's accusations that she could not normally enter USA? 3) Why is Buhari's executive which claims to have recovered over N23 trillion naira in "looted funds" trying to sell Nigeria's assets and grab foreign lending to fund a budget of only n6 trillion naira? Something stinks, corruption is not change, this is not the change Nigerians voted for. Buhari is a deceptive fraud. Where does he know John Campbell and John Padden from? Does the administration of outgoing president Barack Obama know and approve what these 2 old geezers Campbell and Padden are up to with Buhari?
