For PDP to ask Pres. Buhari to resign is a huge joke- Lai Mohammed, says recovered funds not enough to revive economy

Minister of Information Lai Mohammed, has described as a huge joke the call by PDP for President Buhari to resign following the economic recession. Speaking at a NAN forum today, Lai said
“It is very painful in a situation where the armed robber is now the one sympathizing with the victim. I read in the dailies that the PDP said that the President must resign because of the economy. While we are not going to indulge in blame game, I think we should also be honest enough to admit that we will not have been where we are today if they had done what they ought to do. For the party to ask the President to resign is just a big joke".
Lai disclosed that the Federal government has so far recovered N78 billion stolen funds.
“What we have recovered and if my record is right is about N78 billion, and 3 million dollars. We have been able to block various accounts in which about 9 billion dollar is found but those are not money available to us because we are still in court over them. The government spends N165 billion every month to pay federal civil servants, even what has been so far recovered will not even pay 50 per cent of the salaries in a month"he said

  32. After APC and ineffectual Buhari plunged Nigeria into economic recession, for that same Lai Mohammed (that made fraudulent promises and raised expectations and misled millions of people into voting for APC) to now run his mouth is an insult to Nigerians. The best thing for APC led government is that Lai Mohammed must be muzzled or he will keep aggravating a lot of people and exacerbating an already bad situation between the government and the masses. Lai Mohammed must zip his mouth and stay out of the limelight, or we will curse the hell out of APC leaders, everyone of them, for misleading the nation and destroying the country.

  34. This Lai Muhammed is an economic illiterate like the rest of the APC empty headed jokers. So to APC economy is only about 'how much money dey?' No wonder they foolishly made sure they had no policy to drive investment in the country andbthenones that were they before they took over these illiterates have chased them away by their no policy status. Shame on all of una. Yeye people. It is only Niger delta oil una dey wait for. Economic and financial illiterates.

What happens when that is all spent ??? You need more stolen funds to make the country better? Since this fool has been appointed that's all he talks about, the change is a clueless change, from the appointed to the appointed all bunch of idiots... create jobs, bring alternatives and ideas to run the country ,make policies, 1year on stolen funds , greedy pigs, the only party in the world that would air their linens all bad it's a disgrace, pep may be thirds but u never heard doo much inconsistency or drama or backstabbing as the fucks that at being put it, I hope you all clueless asswipes in power choke on sumthin nd die or crash or just be together and burn. 37. Lai Mohamed shamelessly responding to criticisms with his usual lies and blame game. It took Buhari 16yrs to be President, 6 months to appoint ministers and one year to prepare heavily padded budget. If he does not resign, he will run the country aground in his 4 yrs tenure.

  46. Before anyone starts to blame GEJ or looters for the state of the economy, one needs to ask, has Nigeria not generated any revenue since PMB came into power? if so where has it gone? What has happened to all that has been gathered by the TSA? What has been the fiscal/monetary policy of PMB if any? The situation we find ourselves shows the gross incompetence of PMB and his team to run affairs of the state.

I am amazed at what this man is saying. Is he even educated? How does recovered funds revive the economy. this is what you see when you have old cargoes running the government. Did they not do economics? there is something called the invisible hands of demand and supply? the only logical thing to save our country is good policies. Diversify our economy, tell external manufacturers, unless you produce your goods in Nigeria we will not buy. Those farm product wasting, set up infrastructure that tackles that, give grant to young entrepreneurs with great ideas or partner with them. revive our steel and textile industry. yes we voted for change but the government do not even know viable policy

  48. These people don't know administration. So as the govt is spending that much for salaries, they're not getting that much from the minitries? That's a very stupid explanation. They should use those recovered funds to either revamp failed sectors of the economy or create new ones. No one is saying they should use the money for any administrative function. Build more manufacturing infrastructures, more factories, more schools even. The only way the economy will grow is if people spend, if the country starts exporting and manufacturing goods, if goods in Nigeria start getting cheaper and some other little things this dummies neglect. Instead they're talking about increasing tax, therefore making things more expensive when they themselves can even pay the so-called minimum wage. Smh. We need more professionals in government not lawyers as sports minister or power and housing minister.

He and his doughnut brain ministers has grounded our economy that they met buoyant.
