NFF president Amaju Pinnick responds to report that Siasia and the players are being owed salaries

Earlier today we published a report from an interview Samson Siasia granted Brila FM where he revealed that he had been owed five months salary and that he was ready to support the players if they boycotted the Rio Olympic quarterfinal match against Denmark due to unpaid bonuses. If you missed the story, read here

Now the president of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has gone on his Twitter handle , to address the report. See that tweets after the cut...

  6. Why wait until they complain 5 months later to do the right thing. Can Pinnick tell us if he hasn't been receiving his salary in the last 5 months?

Why are we so wicked and mean to each other?

    1. I'm beginning to think that NFF is truly owing Mr. Sunday Olise.
It's their way, the only reason why they have to pay this time aside from the Olympics, is that it might make it obvious that they owe the other coach

  10. HYPOCRISY IS WHEN YOU SUPPORTED APC GOVERNORS FOR CHALLENGING GEJ ADMINISTRATION IN COURT TO SHARE ALL THE NATIONAL COFFERS WHEN GEJ INTENDED TO SAVE FOR FUTURE, WHICH THE APC GOVERNORS LATER WON THE CASE. SURPRISINGLY, YOU TURN AROUND TODAY TO BLAME GEJ FOR NOT SAVING DURING RAINING PERIOD.

INSTEAD OF FIGHTING THE OPPOSITION PARTY BECAUSE YOU ARE IN POWER TODAY CONTINUITY SHOULD HAVE BE THE BEST WAY OUT. HOWEVER, BUHARI AND APC ARE BUSY KILLING NIGERIA WITH THEIR INCOMPETENCY AND MISMANAGEMENT THEN TURN AROUND TO PUT THE BLAMING ON GEJ AND PAST REGIME.

BUHARI AND APC ALSO RELY ON MAKING NOISES WITH FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION IN DECEIVING NIGERIANS TO COVER THEIR CLUELESS AND IT OBVIOUS THEY ARE CONFUSED AND RUNNING OUT OF LIES NOW. THE REASON IBB REMOVED BUHARI FROM POWER IN 1985 IS REPEATING ITSELF NOW THAT BUHARI HAS FAILED THE NATION ONCE AGAIN WITH THIS SECOND CHANCE AND NO AMOUNT OF HIS EXCUSES WILL COVER THIS FACT.

  27. People should not politicise this situation, owing players and officials has been a shameful long term issue in Nigeria sports. If this can be happening to football that has almost all Nigerians focusing on it , one can only imagine the pain and suffering other participants are going through. The other time on twitter senator Ben Bruce was asking if anyone has the phone number of the lady rowing for us Ms Chierika Cukoju (coco) and I just wonder the level of managerial incompetence and systemic mess in the ministry of sports and among our leaders. This Olympic was captured in the budget, why can't the minister stop forming red barret efficiency while exhibiting inefficiency, and move his inefficient ass to work or better still get out of the ministry

Oga u ain't qualified for the job Biko ..u think because they ve some Europe based guys that ve funds is enough reason to be stupid..Oga pay joor
