Japanese millionaire fulfills his promise, gives $390k to U-23 Dream Team (photos)

The Japanese multimillionaire who promised coach Samson Siasia and his boys a huge amount of money if they win Gold, Silver or Bronze in the football event at Rio has fulfilled his promise.

He presented a $190k cheque to Mikel Obi and $200k cheque to Samson Siasia, a total of $390k. So nice of him!

  8. something tells me that NFF or sports ministry will now convineitly withold whatever is due these boys. And should the boys demand for their entitlement, they would be backmailed as greedy and unpatriotic for demanding what is due them. I HOPE I WILL BE WRONG.

  20. I find it hard to believe this man gave the money freely and without an incentive.

Can someone please do some digging to find out if he has done any business in Nigeria?

What are the names of his companies?

Any of them bidding on a contract?

    What about his children?

I don't know Japan's biggest newspapers but there really is something "off" about the money. Especially the amount.

Not to say the team isn't worth that much. However if the Nigerian government is using one hand to wash the other, we, the citizens, should know about it.

On In a different note: Linda, you couldn't even get the Japanese man's name. Lazy journalistic work on your part.
