Chimamanda Adichie at Southbank Centre London for Half of a Yellow Sun: Ten Years On

Southbank Centre hosted acclaimed Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in a rare UK public appearance at Royal Festival Hall, where she discussed Love and War in her second book 'Half of a Yellow Sun': Ten Years On.
She reflected on the challenges of keeping love alive in times of war, looking at the award-winning novel which was published in 2006 and won the Orange Prize. She talked about why her star-crossed lovers caught up in a bloody civil war still resonates and why she keeps being drawn back to the theme of love.
