Update on the rescued malnourished 9-year-old boy found chained in a church

Officers from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on Friday rescued a nine-year-old boy named Taiwo Korede, who had been chained for weeks in a 'Celestial Church of Christ key of Joy Parish Ajiwo', located at Ajibawo in Ado - Odo, Ota division 2, Ogun State. The case has since been transfered to the appropriate authority for further investigation and he has been taken to the hospital. More photos after the cut.

    1. Our religious beliefs should not turn us to morons, how can a normal person chain a nine year old boy like this and everyone in church took it to be OK will the pastor or leader of that same parish chain his own son like that even if the boy swallowed Malam Satan

  13. To what end did they carry out this inhumane act?, Really, to what end?

He does not have parents? Or his parents agreed to this? Because some people can be very stupid, accepting everything anybody who calls him/herself a man/woman of God.

    This is so upsetting.

People need to go to ja for this.

This boy could have died if help hadn't come.

This is not what Christ thought. People doing this don't know Christ.

  41. What is the update now? That the case has been transferred? Anyway, saving grace is that the child has been rescued.I hope he is in good hands now.I pray God's protection over him.As earlier commented, one should apply wisdom when it comes to religion. There is an Ibo saying that goes 'Enu biakwutei ,nya anakwanai uche' It's possible that the child has developmental issues and the parents thought that the chaining method will take care of business . God help us and deliver us from ignorance.
