Sacked Chairman of House of Representatives committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has released another statement. Read below...
"Yesterday we recorded huge success in our mission to get the Corrupt Speaker of the House Yakubu Dogara and his cohorts to face prosecution. On the request of my lawyers, the security agencies have promptly protected the appropriation secretariat, my office and house. Our petition to the EFCC and ICPC against Speaker Dogara, Lasun, Doguwa, Ogor and eight other members have been dispatched yesterday.
The case against them ranges from corrupt enrichment, abuse of office&public trust, living above means, massive movement of funds in budget. The members are Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun, Whip Alhassan Doguwa and Minority Leader Leo Ogor. Others include, chairman FCT Hon Herma Hembe, Chairman higher education Hon Zakari Mohammed, chairman health Hon Chike Okafor Chairman power Hon Dan Asuquo, Chairman marine transport Hon mohammed Bago, Chairman Police Hon Haliru Jika, Chairman interior Hon Jagaba Adams Jagaba and Chairman House services Hon Babanle Ila
This is a defining moment in the struggle to cleanse the House,first time a member will drag 12 of his colleagues to the anti graft agencies.
This has opened a rare opportunity for the anti corruption agencies to decisively use this as a case study to send powerful signal. I also responded to another show of shame by 9 out of the 40member appropriation committee that addressed the press yesterday. They shamelessly allow themselves to be used after collecting $20,000 dollars each disbursed by DCOS to Speaker Hon CID Maduabum. Speaker Dogara has resorted to blame of so called external forces, are those forces responsible for moving FG projects to his farm?and the 11 others to commence prosecution in earnest. Unfortunately for him he got caught while the others walked away free and remain confidants of the current administration. It is a great dawn for Naija if all these fantastically fat cats are dealt with swiftly and decisively in a most judicious/equitable manner. Nawa 4 black man development vision, sha.

You are doing good so far,you might be up-to history here,i've always believe to cleans Nigeria you have to start from both federal chambers,and trickle down to states chambers and eventually local govt ,which is the training ground.We have to make public service less attractive for those with no idea to improve the lives of 180million Nigerians.If there's nothing to steal and the penalty for stealing becomes yrs of actual HARD LABOR AND ALL ASSETS OWN FORFEITED TO THE NATION.PERIOD.

He told us on national TV that he was in charge of appropriation and is solely responsible for what d house had produced. Now he's singing like a deranged bird. This is some1 looking for who ll go down with him. He was so arrogant to fellow comity members that he wouldn't even pick their calls. If the majority of the house members are still with Dogara, there's nothing DSS or EFCC can really do! All these personal fight from apc is just atrocious!!! This change is a big CURSE!!!!

Arrest him for what? For preparing and padding a Budget? Wishful thinking of a vengeful iconoclast. What is a Budget if not glorified Income and Expenditure estimates submitted for vetting and approval. In this case the Budget estimates, if approved, will guide the Executive, not the legislative, arm of the Government to operate. So where is Dogara's offence to warrant this arrant nonsense bearing in mind that the House Budget will be scrutinized and reconciled with that of the Senate before being sent to the President for rejection. So where is Dogara's sin that he should be arrested, i ask again.
