Truly shocking Linda. Have never seen this sort of wonder before and to think I saw the river yesterday and to have disappeared today is as strange as they come. Raining season for that matter...should we also blame it on buhari/apc or the gods of pain? While ur on it.. Think about this too...

ReplyDeleteIf its overnight drying, then this is where my African pple will call it spiritual attack. Or the river godess is angry. Raining season of all time!
ReplyDeleteBeware of the coming tsunami. When will people learn?
ReplyDeleteBro this one is not Tsunami ooo... I live in this area and when I was in secondary school I used to go to the river with my peers to swim and we catch fish too. As big and deep this river is fishermen catch big fishes and for many years tipper comes there to pack sand, infact there is the association of sand and tipper drivers there. They pack sand from this river to tell you how deep this river is. The river suddenly disappeared over night and the land which was suppose to be deep suddenly filled up to ground level with leaves on it like it's been growing since 2months ago. Bro this one is not a Tsunami explanation, let's be real abeg.
DeleteHa! Strange things are happening.
ReplyDeleteI sure as hell ain't stepping on it no matter how firm it is. The water could suddenly reappear just as easily as it disappeared😊
ReplyDeleteLinda that so true ,I pass that road today, the surprising thing is that the land is leveled like a plain land, one would expect it to be shallow cause it use to be a river ,but it came up to normal land surface,am still surprise..can't figure it out .
ReplyDeleteHmmmm these God is God all by himself ...
End time
ReplyDeleteKai Buhari oooooo even rivers are drying by the mention of ur name.

ReplyDeleteThere is a good scientific explanation for this which is; A river is a natural flowing watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, sea, lake or another river. In some cases a river flows into the ground and becomes dry at the end of its course without reaching another body of water. Also excessive use could make the river divert especially due to global warming, the diverted water remains underground and later becomes a spring once it reaches breaking point in another location
ReplyDeleteOver night? With plant growth? Almost level with the banks of the former river?
DeleteI am sure after moses parted the red sea, the Egyptians had their own scientific explanation
The river channel might have changed course upstream after the heavy rains if the past few days. This happens frequently in the Niger Delta during which silt and sediments fill up one old channel and the river changes course into another channel. By viewing Google Map of the area it should be possible to see what had happened. There is no miracle about it.
ReplyDeleteNot overnight though....that part is still a mystery.
DeleteHow come everything has to be supernatural with us in Nigeria? Will all this people posting comments tell us they haven't heard of a sink hole? If you haven't seen how a sink hole drains a river/lake, I've attached a video for educational purposes.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqROBTVgL6A
Can this happen without people seeing a change in the pattern of flow of water? A sink hole that will drain such a river system must be at least a cubic kilometer plus. This is strange and must be one of the largest if not the largest in the world.
Delete@trademarc sink hole or not the area become levelled overnight with grown weeds... This is stranger than fiction
DeleteDia is God oo. My best suggestion; water migration. The scientist in da house should help us out....
Delete@trademarc no make science scatter ur brains...God makes d impossible possible....wen He divided d red sea or turned water to wine,do u ve a scientific explanation for al dat?plzz
DeleteThat river is coming back....people should be careful because it happened in my place twice. Going out in the dry season and reappear from the blue moon.
ReplyDeleteHmm! Going over tomorrow to feast my eyes
ReplyDeleteWeird
ReplyDeleteIt's Boko Haram :)
ReplyDeleteIt's possible the river was channelled into a man made dam, it's possible it's been diverted, it's alsonly possible it's been blocked at a smaller channel by people who build along water ways. Am sure that river is flooding other areas let them investigate especially with the way we are hearing communities who never experienced flooding are being flooded now.
ReplyDeleteBuhari bad luck👎
ReplyDeleteif you like blow all the grammar in your mouth, all I know is that this is end time.
ReplyDeleteWhhats ur probs
ReplyDeletePeople should be very careful looks like something big is coming
ReplyDeleteA moses is preparing to take his Israelis away frm egypt
ReplyDeleteLet d pharaohz leave d land so they won't b caught unawares
Well this happens a lot in my village, a stream in my arear disappears every 4yrs. And then reappear when no one least expects it. The elders consult oracle to knw if it's a good sign or if there will be any sacrifice to be done, but then they arrived at a conclusion that anytime such happens, the rate of mortality and sicknesses drops drastically, meaning it's takes death and sicknesses away from the land. That river will still reappear someday. Not anytime soon anyways, so the residents should enjoy it for the time being.
ReplyDeleteThis is Jehovah's way of telling the murderous Fulani herdsmen that he has heard the cries of his people and he will visit them with drought on their sacred cows which they value more than Christians. Their cows will all die of thirst and dehydration in Jesus mighty name Amen.
ReplyDeleteAbule sowo,
ReplyDeleteD river don pack them no do am well
ReplyDeleteThe children of Israel pass through over night and their moses forgot to stretch his rod again after their passage. #ineed2know

ReplyDeleteMammy water had a party, there was no booze so they drank the water instead. Tell me another! This is no overnight thing. See the grass is lush.
ReplyDeleteThis is not the first time I have seen such a thing , where I come from we have more than 4 rivers at one time one of the rivers vanish as if it never existed, according to the findings the river spirit was angry, I believe that wind, fire, earth, sky, rivers, and every other living thing has a spirit behind it, the one in my village came back after a while, bit in some case it might not cone back, so if is really a flowing river it will surely come back or maybe not, it has nothing to do with end time, and I don't think people should panic it is normal for flowing rivers to move.
ReplyDeleteN linda gv u chance take do dis nonsense...evil spirit
ReplyDeleteThis is not a strange occurrence it has happened before which am aware of, sometimes rivers dry up ,depending on the amount of stress and force it goes through , I don't find it strange cause I have witness this before people might not notice the change in pattern but this is not the first time a river will vanish , it might come back and it might not , because you see it as a mere river but it is also a living organism it breaths , it has feelings and it moves ,so it can decide to stay or move.
ReplyDeleteThe same thing is happening at epe,and there is a cattle market too nearby.
ReplyDeleteThe faeces and waste from the cattle market created natural fertilizer for the soil below and killed any air breathing organism, algae grew at fast rate, solidifying the river bed,d rest is history.
Eko,Eko centre of excellence???????????what led to ur fame and devt would destroy ur land, coupled with all the innocent lives ritualists have wasted, funny there are more churches and mosques there than anywhere else, eleko, ibeju, maryland, ikorodu, mile 2,maza maza, church, mosque everywhere.

ReplyDeleteMore land to sale bale should go and check it out hahaha
ReplyDeleteNo mind d cow....
ReplyDeleteIt is no longer news that river can leave a particular place n settle in another place. When people desecrate a river, this is bound to happen. It has ever happened in m home town in Anambra state when River Mamu left Agulu to settle @ Okpeze, a nearby town bcs Agulu people purposely chased d river away by desecrating d river bcs it was wickedly drowning Agulu people for no just cause.
ReplyDeleteAllahu Akbar!😐
ReplyDeletePLS MY PEOPLE LETS COME TOGETHER AND CROWN LINDA QUEEN ONCE AND FOR ALL.
ReplyDeleteMoney for omo onile b dat nah... dee
ReplyDeleteGod is great
ReplyDeleteLook l passed there today today, the place is dried patapata. but can u imagine that the river actually still continues behind the kara market and just before the bridge to berger. This is not end time oh, this one na JAZZZZZ!
ReplyDeleteNa wo time don reach for fulani headsmen to go bck to their village... Abi na somebody use pumping machine to suck the water over nite
ReplyDeleteThis is the almighty God at work,Nigerian are the highest marine worshippers. soon, there will be no ponds, least of all oceans, lakes n rivers to worship.turn to God before its too late
ReplyDeleteThe Israelite passed through the place overnight and forget to stretch the rod after passing to the other side.
ReplyDeleteIsaac Adekola.
In APC words, let blame Jonathan for this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a mighty God at work
ReplyDeleteIncomplete Post... IMO.
ReplyDeleteThere should have been a before and after comparison.
Hi linda, please i will like you to ask an environmentalist for an explanation to this occurrence. i feel it wont be the first time this is occurring.
ReplyDeleteHi linda, please i will like you to ask an environmentalist for an explanation to this occurrence. i feel it wont be the first time this is occurring.

ReplyDeleteBetter run away from that land, mammy water is playing tricks, and wants to carry as many people as possible 😬😬😬
ReplyDeleteIts a parable from GOD. Everyone here were just looking at dis from a simple and a funny direction but let's come to look at it dis way,(1)we are in a rainy season and common sense can tell us that temperature is not high so dia for it is impossible for a river dis big to go dry overnight and to support that we all can see water at d other side of d bridge. And secondly to make it more clearer it happens overnight***WHY OVERNIGHT? here d word overnight simplifies **SUDDEN** and d plant means ***AGRICULTURE.let me now explain d whole meaning of this beautiful parable from GOD.
ReplyDeletelet me start like dis,d water in dis parable simplifies our CRUDE OIL while overnight simplifies SUDDEN...GOD is only telling us DAT he gave us d crude oil abundantly which is d water and overnight (suddenly) he can dry it off(lose value) and all u will be left with will be just ur land in d morning(NEW BEGINNING or NEW AGE) but my grace I will make u live with agriculture(THE GRASS).
So d message is straight... I GAVE U THE CRUDE OIL AND OVERNIGHT I CAN DRY IT OFF AND ALL U WILL BE LEFT WITH IS YOUR LAND BUT FOR MY LOVE FOR U,I WILL MAKE U SURVIVE BY MY GRACE WITH AGRICULTURE....to understand all dis is by GODs grace...Alihamdulilai.......Bailey Olaitan.
Woo! What is EFCC waiting for. They should swing into action to fish out who had looted or diverted the public water in lagos.Nigerians take note, APC take not. God is not happy with what is happening in this country. May God help us.
